I was looking forward to this spot but when we arrived some men had herded the cows into an enclosure after separating them from their young,they were hot, distressed and on looking closer had no food or water, the men said the lorry would be here for them soon but it was another 2 hours of listening to the poor things cry! so heartbreaking! cow poo everywhere so many flies. apart from the cruelty very pretty but we won’t go again.

No longer permitted to stay here as they prefer people to go to the campsite at the port which is understandable as it’s not far away and close to the ferry.

A great place to visit and stay BUT the long narrow bending road with not many passing places was really unsuitable for anything bigger than a van sized vehicle, our motorhome is 7.5 and we felt too big and met lots of cars coming from the car park, once you start there’s no turning back. many cars looking at us like we shouldn’t be going down there. A large glass of wine was had once parked and enjoyed the mountain view.
