Wow, gems exist at normal pensionada prices! The prices charged for regular campervan sites are sometimes ridiculous. We have our own toilet and shower on board, right? Alex is an exceptional host. This morning we woke up with fresh tangerines on our steps, and just now he brought us an aperitif of fresh grapes with a large spoonful of freshly made honey.

Nice place, but... We bought two tokens for €6, but even with the second token, we had no power. We tried almost everything, even checking the fuses on the power pole. No idea where or how to report this?

It's well signposted as you approach the town. A good, free spot with a long-term camper in a small caravan who had hung his wastewater hose in the greywater drain. It looks like a nice town, but we were just passing through. The enclosed park with agility equipment was a welcome change for our two Kooikerhondjes. But despite a sign warning about dog poop and a €750 fine, there was unfortunately some poop.

We're spending the night here at the camper site. It took a while to find it, as there was no signage. Only the service station indicated this was the camper site. Water is coin-operated, as is electricity (1 hour), but where to get the coins remains a mystery. Quiet on Sundays, but I can imagine it's busy here during the week.

Many Dutch municipalities could learn a thing or two from this! All amenities, including electricity, are available free of charge! There are also spots with electricity on the square closer to the church. But we've lost one star because of the crowds last night. From noisy cars blasting music all night to trucks accelerating sharply. And you really have to put on your handbrake. Our neighbor had leveled his campervan, and the front wheels were over a foot above the ground.

Great camper place, and this is definitely when the alderman gets his way. Because then it becomes paid and provisions come. But then we will get there too! Despite it is only half an hour's drive for us. Lidl and Albert Heijn within walking distance, as well as several eateries in all types of price ranges. But beware: take your household waste, and all the other rest home! Do not ruin it for the others! If necessary, you can find the necessary facilities in Assenede at a short distance.

Not that we want and have to make use of these facilities, but if they are there, of course. You also expect a little more for the price you pay for it? When we wanted to empty the cassette in the provided bin, it even collapsed. Rinsing the cassette was even impossible due to the lack of a water tap. We then rinsed our cassette with our own gray water .... No, in 2014 this place could charm us, but in 2018 you just expect more for the money you pay for it?

We made the mistake of not checking the meter position beforehand and when I was told about the high amount due, they started talking about a coffee machine, electric heating and that kind of thing. But none of that we have on board, the coffee is still old-fashioned here
