Everything that campers love: Beautiful, quiet area, but still easy to get to the famous castles. Level gravelled pitch, big enough. Water, waste disposal, electricity and WiFi for €15.00 via Pass'Etapes. They even opened the barrier without any problems. Completely satisfied.

The place itself is very nice, the pitches are a good size. The reception is very friendly. But: Given the size, you should separate the pitches into men and women. No toilet seats and no paper. It doesn't matter. But in the entire sanitary area there is not a single hook/shelf for hanging towels etc. No coat hooks in the toilets. Only one hook in the showers. So you have to put your toiletries somewhere wet. Disgusting!!

One of the few campsites that can be rated as very good. Plenty of large pitches. Otherwise you often find that campsites are full of long-term tenants and you have to drive on in frustration. Everything is top notch here. The location is good; after a long day behind the wheel you can walk along the river to the citadel. Fantastic. Good decision to stop here again before Bordeaux.
