We spent two days at this beautiful spot by the water. We explored the tranquil town of Leeuwarden. The bus stop is very close, about a 15-minute drive. But there's also a lovely bike route. The friendly and helpful groundskeeper explained all the options to us and was very helpful. Disposal points for chemical toilets and grey water were available and very clean. Highly recommended!! We can only agree with marielisa's review and would like to add something about the small harbor restaurant. The owner of Zoey's, a committed, cheerful young woman, and her friendly colleague are very friendly and try to make the guests as comfortable as possible. A small, fine menu with very tasty pinsas, but also small dishes. The Belgian waffles are a must. We'll be back. Gaston Ilona

October 3rd, 2020 We slept wonderfully with a view of the lovely Weserbergland directly on the Weser. A small ferry right on the square, great bike paths, Rinteln about 12km away. Sanitary very clean, 7-minute shower with stamp, good pressure, important for washing hair. The groundskeeper is super nice and helpful. Spent the first night in a meadow. The next day we were asked if we would like to move to a nice place by the water. And that although we only wanted to stay two nights. Delicious food, good wine, the world's best cheesecake.
