Comfortable campsite with – as the name suggests – a wide view. Friendly welcome by the Dutch-speaking owner. We can only confirm what other reviews indicate. Great value for money.

Very well-maintained campsite with top-notch sanitary facilities and amenities. Very friendly welcome. We only stayed 2 nights in the off-season, ACSI CC rate applicable.

Friendly welcome, able to choose our own (spacious) spot. Very clean sanitary facilities, which are cleaned and checked several times a day. It was quite windy during our stay, making it a true paradise for kiteboarders. Also quite pricey by Danish standards. Inconvenient that the grey water and chemical toilet drains are located in different places. This means driving around the grounds in circles due to the one-way traffic.

Nice campsite, within walking distance of the impressive ship lift and the accompanying museum, both of which are free to enter. The Aldi is also nearby and accessible via a desire path (open from 7 am to 9 pm). A restaurant (Rusticus) with a small menu is also close by. All in all, fine if you are just passing through. We were now also able to pay contactless.

Well-equipped campervan site at Camping Car Park. New (2025) and in very good condition. Clean and tidy. All facilities (including shower and toilet) are only accessible with the same personal access code as the barrier. Spacious pitches. It will probably take a few more years before the trees provide shade. Rate in 2026 €14

When you realize that this is a city campsite, a quiet and green spot is best, although that depends on where and when you stay. Between Ascension Day and Pentecost it was fine. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Easily accessible by bike to the city centre (5km). La Rochelle is a bike-friendly city with many separate cycle paths. You don't see that very often in France anymore. Wi-Fi is far too expensive and the greywater drain is in an awkward location.

In principle, a fine campsite with spacious pitches. A very good starting point for bike rides through the nature reserve. We stayed there for the first 2 nights and then booked a 3rd. We found out too late that it was an ACSI-CC campsite (€23); we missed out on that and it was not deducted from the 3rd night. There is too little attention and care for detail. The toilets were checked and cleaned too infrequently, while the facilities themselves are good.

Very nice spot at CAMPING CAR PARK, on the edge of a small village. Formerly a municipal site. Also for caravans. The mayor herself came to check things out and welcome us. The small new sanitary block is a plus. Also accessible for people with disabilities. You can choose between pitches under the trees or at the front in special camper spots.

In contrast to the previous review (also posted today), there is electricity now and no noise. There are, however, many birds in the bushes behind the camper park. Things can change. I reserved this spot in advance via the CAMPING CAR PARK app. Everything is brand new and tidy. The campers are arranged in a semicircle with reed mats between the pitches. So, plenty of privacy.
