Beautiful camper pitch and definitely recommended. Easy to book via the website. Valkenburg and Maastricht are easily accessible by bike! The camper pitch was still quite full, though, and then 3 toilets for so many people is really too few. We didn't use electricity, as this indeed had to be purchased separately. Furthermore, it is indeed very strange to have to pay for the showers with your debit card.

We stayed 4 nights in the field. It is much quieter than the campsite itself. The campsite is very expensive, though, as is the campsite shop! The advantage is that for multiple nights you get a digital pass that you can use for things like free bus transport to Innsbruck (dog on muzzle) or to a nearby cable car for a beautiful walk. The downside is that dogs are allowed on the campsite, but they are not allowed in the lake😬.

The surroundings here are beautiful! However, the sanitary facilities are very dirty!! Everything is broken or doesn't work. The fence surrounding the emptying area is falling apart (it would fall right against the side of the camper if not held down) and the water tap doesn't work. So I had to walk back and forth from the toilet with a watering can. The reception staff are super unfriendly and start talking about you in Italian right in front of you. The staff at the restaurant, however, are super friendly!

Upon arrival, it turned out that only one toilet-shower combination was open. If you wanted to use it, you were standing in front of an open window! Upon departure in the morning, everything turned out to be closed and therefore unusable. The spots themselves are decent for a one-night stay, and the system for paying via QR code is convenient.
