Great campsite. The facilities work properly and it is pleasantly quiet and spacious. Very friendly welcome in good English.

The previous review is by someone who is apparently not as smart as their pseudonym suggests. We were there on the same day and saw plenty of free spots around us. It is a matter of adapting flexibly to the enormous pitches (never seen that before) and, if necessary, sharing a spot and power point with someone. There are special plugs for that. Several campers did just that.

It is a pity that only a few camper pitches have a view of the Loire. Otherwise, everything is fine, with clean sanitary facilities and spacious hot showers in a recently renovated building.

Stayed here for 3 nights and everything was in tip-top order. Plenty of hot water and the sanitary facilities were very clean. Nice view of the Loire and Gien. A small supermarket in a warehouse around the corner is very convenient, with pleasant advice on regional wines and cheese.

All the great reviews are accurate. Also, a tip to stop by restaurant A La Marina along the bike path to Orleans for drinks or a delicious dinner. It's a 10-minute bike ride away.

You shouldn't mind being just 1 to 2 meters away from your neighbors, because all the campers were piled high. Moreover, there wasn't a single blade of green except for a few small trees. And that was right between the houses in the village. For €15, we've seen better camper sites. Not for us, so we set off early the next morning.

I recently spent a few days here and enjoyed the peace and quiet, the view, the beach, and the dolphins. It's a shame the owners plan to close the campsite in 2026 to retire.

Service in the restaurant is sloppy. They mixed up the orders, so that others apparently got our day meal and we had to ask why ours was taking so long. It happened to others too. So pay attention!

Spacious and clean public parking. Quiet in the evening. From your camper unobstructed view of the sea. A few cafes and restaurants next door and within walking distance.

Pleasant reception with a glass of wine and an interesting story. Unfortunately we could not taste more wines. On a whim we bought a few bottles. Annoying that the toilet and shower close at 6 pm.

We came for a walk and discovered this nice little campsite. Pleasant manager who speaks a little English and makes a delicious toasted sandwich. The sanitary building will be renovated at the end of 2025. In the spacious parking lot opposite you can empty the chemical toilet and take in water. Maybe you can also spend the night there without electricity.

Everything has been written about the location. However, not that you can eat delicious and very affordable regional specialties at Taska das Caldas. Good advice from the manager.

Great simple camping for a few days. We were unlucky with the food, because meat and fish too dry and tasteless. Next day the same local dishes much better in Restaurante O Mirandês, for a bit more money, as the only tourists among 30 local people. Then you are really on holiday!

The daughter of the family does a daily tasting at 5:30 pm. We called in advance and she waited in consultation with the other guests until our arrival an hour later! They are members of France Passion. That means free overnight stay with (not obligatory) purchase of some of their products.

Beware of the thieves guild. We found a full parking lot and stood in the leading street. After visiting the castle, the window in the sliding door of our bus camper turned out to be forced and some items had disappeared.

We wholeheartedly share all the praise about Helena, the tranquility, the surroundings, the terrace and the view. However, the facilities are simple and limited, with no hot water at sinks and washing-up corners. The daily rate belongs to a well-equipped campsite, but it is a well-equipped camper place.

The front 3 spots are beautiful, although with little space between camper and fence. The other 3 spots are behind it, so with a view of the row in front of you. On the weekend they fill the location even more. Plumbing hasn't been cleaned for 3 days. We have left. And the wine is nothing special. Just what you can expect for approximately € 5. We buy elsewhere.

I would like to nuance all those lyrical comments about delicious wines. The wines are fine for the price of approximately € 4. They are not worth more. Elsewhere in the Palatinate you can buy nicer wines and of course they cost more. Furthermore, a very nice location, provided it is not full. Now only 5 campers. Last weekend 12 spots occupied.

At the beginning of May the ACSI price of €19.35 was paid. Sanitary facilities have been completely renovated with neat toilets, 11 showers and a unique sanitary corner for the toddlers. Very quiet location. At a 3-minute walk at the bridge a nice restaurant with excellent pizzas.

Great place after a wine tasting in the adjacent monastery. Limited number of power points. Discharge waste water into the gutter in front of the reception. Water point at the 2 cold showers on the site next to the volleyball court. Cassette discharge is allowed in the toilet. Alternatively, you can spend the night 100 m away for free in a large parking lot next to the Loucky monastery in front of the swimming pool. With free toilet during the day. Is tolerated.

There is still something to add to all the rightly beautiful reviews. Mien and Bert are thinking ahead and now have a charging station for electric vehicles on the site. Now for passenger cars, but they are already ready for the first electric motorhomes!

In the high season completely full and then you are close to each other, because all places are small. We felt quite trapped in the back row and will not come back here. Especially since there is only some grass for a few tents in the corner. The whole site is also stone chips.

Quiet campsite in 3 terraces with unobstructed views of the lake everywhere. You can cycle around the lake in 1 hour. Most pitches are very spacious, some very cramped, especially on the lower terrace. Pre-booking is only possible for 2 or 3 days. You can just drop by for 1 night. Reception open until 6 pm.

A hidden gem behind a messy entrance. The sanitary facilities are limited, but neat and usually sufficient for the limited number of guests. Wonderful cycling in the area and to Roermond.

Neat but awkwardly decorated sanitary facilities. Three rooms with toilet, sink and shower in one. Poor when the campsite is full. All places have electricity and water. You are fantastic at the front, but a little less on the 4th row.

Looks like a large caravan shed with many permanent season spots. Everything is close together and is very uncomfortable. A large slab of clay without greenery.

Excellent campsite for first or last night after or before the ferry. Excellent new toilet facilities with free showers. More spacious than we have experienced in 4 weeks, except in Vik. Three washing machines and dryers. Seniors half price.

Nice place to stay for a day, if not chock-full with Icelanders in good weather. Fantastic sanitary. Next to a golf course. Walking on the beach and in the surrounding area. Beer at the local brewery. Visit to the lava show.

Great extension camping. Sanitary recently renewed. Now 6 very neat spacious toilets and 2 very spacious free showers with normal head and pouring head. Limited number of power spots.

The campsite is located in the city. So you have to love it. Chock full in the summer holidays. We drove on.

Unfortunately they no longer participate in the Icelandic camping card. In the summer holidays daily chock full. Sanitary nevertheless clean. The Icelanders do not shower, but go to the pool or the hotpot.

Beautifully situated with magnificent views of the fjord, very spacious showers, hot water in sinks, sufficient power points. Free special hotpots at 650 m and a nicely located paid swimming pool with hotpot at 600 m.

Just like previous years, poorly maintained sanitary facilities. Despite extra plumbing. Hot water taps provide cold water. Washing machine and dryer not connected. Discharge water along the road outside the campsite. Cassette could not be emptied. However, a beautiful location and nicely designed location.

As a basis for whale watching much better than in Húsavik itself. Sometimes they even swim in front of the campsite. The owner exchanged his 35 cows for the campsite in 2017.

Great place for a single night. Provided it is not too busy, because the plumbing is limited and only three plugs for power. Free hot water in the sinks, sink and shower. Shower cubicle is heated.

Great location at the entrance to Eguisheim. Nice view of the village, the vineyards and the Vosges. You walk straight into the vineyards through a gate in the gate. Electricity is included in the entrance fee. There is a discharge point and a machine for clean water in front of the barrier.

Wonderful place in transit. The discharge point has recently been renewed, so that no hose is needed anymore. Tapping water is fine with a watering can. On arrival at 6:00 pm we had almost the entire site to ourselves.

The plumbing has recently been drastically renewed and completely up-to-date. Great place to go to the beach for a few days and to cycle in the area on safe bike paths and quiet back roads.

The restaurant has showers for both the powder room and the men's room that you can use for free. Toilets behind the rescue building are open all day.

Wonderful first night from the afternoon ferry. An hour's drive away. Even better with electricity for € 3 extra.
