Facilities are basic but sufficient for us. To our surprise, none of the reviews mentioned what bothered us most: the irritating stench from the sugar factory next to the campsite. After two nights of poor sleep, we requested and were immediately given a different pitch: on the campsite side (to the left of reception).

In a word: fantastic. See all the positive reviews from our predecessors.

Wonderful peace; two perfectly clean and spacious shower/toilet rooms; excellent wifi; bread service; soft drinks, beer and wine for sale; up to 3 kWh per day free; waste separation; friendly owner who trusts that purchased bread etc. will also be paid for. Beautiful surroundings; 7 km walking or cycling through forest area to the Mosel. What more could you want?

Sign at campsite is small so you may drive too far. Given coordinates are not accurate. Should be: N 50°47.0202' N 50°47'01.21" W 0°47.4255' W 0°47'25.53". That will put you on the driveway.

Due to description on internet (among others 'park' and extensive menu) expected large park. Is not so: 8 places of which 3 'hard standing'. CEE plug was ready. Friendly reception. Careful with waste separation and environment (no blue liquid for chemical toilet; green available on request). 3 (!!) rooms with toilet, sink, shower. Extremely clean. Rural (cycling and walking) environment. Shrewsbury worth a visit. £ 33 p.n.
