We were quite surprised when we headed towards this campsite. But upon arrival, we were received extremely kindly and offered a camper pitch, paved and all situated along the main paths. The sanitary facilities were fine, although the ceiling of one of the men's showers could have been finished. Furthermore, it is conveniently located relative to the city and supermarket, and there is good food available between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM in the restaurant opposite the reception.

We had a good experience with Astrid and John because we had already stayed here for three nights in June 2026. We were once again warmly welcomed and there was time for a chat. And everything was perfectly arranged again; for self-sufficient campers, this is fine, nothing more is needed. We had an electric scooter with us, which made it easier to drive to more distant villages, including Elburg, and had a delicious meal.

As previous guests have already described, a TOP spot, friendly welcome, and super clean! A nice base for visiting Grou and surrounding villages. We rented an electric boat and sailed onto the Alte Veanen; what an experience! The peace and beauty are truly Frisian. We will definitely be back here again ๐

We stayed here for two nights with the camper and everything was fine. The owner had already spotted us and came to welcome us, walking with us to explain everything. It is situated in a quiet location and within easy reach of Egmond, where it is nice to enjoy a drink on a terrace! Beautiful bike rides through the woods are also highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

I completely agree with the previous reviews! Stayed here for two nights, despite the fact that they were full, Mieke still found a spot for our Camper with 220V. She was busy outside the campsite mobilizing 75 sheep but helped us by phone to a spot. Keep up the good work!

Great campsite with a large shop and insight into how their young bull Water Buffaloes are raised with loving care. Unfortunately, we did not see a single Water Buffalo in the meadow, only dozens in the stables. Staff is extremely friendly and takes the time to explain. Cyclists can indulge themselves with beautiful tours through the area. Everything is included at a reasonable price. We will definitely come back!

Top campsite, everything on it. Spacious places with electricity and water. Pleasant reception, we had reserved the day before for two nights, but that was a good thing because the campsite was almost fully booked. Neat sanitary facilities and clean. Excellent base for cycling trips in the area but also further away. We will definitely come back here again!!

Reception was very good and we got a place for two nights near the toilet building which was in need of renovation! Everything worked but that was it. All in price, incl electricity, shower and tourist tax. Great base to go by bike to Den Helder and Texel, 20 min by bike.
