13/5/2021. New motorhome bays laid out, generous in size, but only 10 bays. As of the 14th March a £5 per night will be charged - see photo of signpost. That aside its a nice place right at the front, toilets nearby as is the fish and chip shop, quiet at night

It's a simple layby with 2 big parking bays, nothing special, no services. But, the views over Loch Lomond are special. Traffic noise during the night was minimal.

An excellent free site, very clean and modern looking, generous sized bays. Full services, nearby Information office, play area, even a petanque area.

Been coming here now, 4 times a year, for the past ?? years. I had NOT read the review by Madcow. Arrived at 8:20 pm local just off the train, and absolutely NO motorhomes. In Sept there was 50+. Spoke to a police/security dog handler and he said it was with regard to immigrants. So moved on to another old haunt Wissant, and had a peaceful night. Hope they solve the problem before my return.

One of my favourite sites and its FREE. Water services and single electric, but you pay by tokens. Great place to watch the barges slide past and generally unwind. Quite a meeting place for Brits before the ferry/Chunnel back to the UK. Most shops are on the other side over the bridge. The supermarket is on this side of the river, past the bridge and is within walking distance.

Yes indeed ...what a place and its free! No signage on the approach, suggest you use N51.37984 E5.32927 as an intermediary point, then turn right. No services but there are toilets in the building. Rubbish bags, and there are lots, were full and overflowing. No services knocks the score down, but this place has the wow factor. I would expect this place to be ultra busy at the weekends.

It took me (my Sat Nav) 3 attempts to find this place hidden in the woods. On my second attempt I could see it but no access as barriers were up. Strange place, it has the right name, full of bits n pieces, especially for the kids. So it must be a great place for the kids to play which means it will be noisy/busy at the weekends. Note, at this time of year the nuts are falling from the trees.

A free site right close to the town centre. It was soon full but the late motorhomes just parked in the car parking area. Great for cycling a lot of paths, green parks, and lots of cafes etc in the town centre. The nearby supermarket was also quite good. Stayed a nice couple of days. Thank you Lippstadt

A good 9.5 !! Very close to my ideal site. I will not regurgitate what other people have already said. Bakery and supermarkets a short distance away, One observation . . men are not expected to do the washing . . . as the washing machine and dryer are in the Ladies toilet. ;-) A nice compact clean site, which I recommend.

Stay here before, a nice site. I like the layout appears to give more space. Full services, and a good price. Plenty of areas to go for a walk/cycle. Supermarket in the town is only a short cycle ride away. Would stay here again

I do not understand how this can score a 10. Its a piece of waste ground , some boundary boulders, and a motorhome parking sign, and a 5E50 charge. It has NO services and the litter bin was full and overflowing. Fahr should look at Dettlebach it has a similar overall area, it has full services, electricty, a much better site. This could be so much better but until it is I will not use it again.

OK, no toilet emptying or grey water dump but this is a nice friendly site, great views. They have expanded the capacity to accommodate more motorhomes, perhaps up to 12. Great view of the wine island. Drinking water available from tap but not suitable for hose. Very clean toilets and shower, and a very friendly host. The weinprobe in the evening was a big thing. I will use this site again.

One of my go to places, this to me is a great site. Plenty of space, all the facilities, super clean bin area. 3 supermarkets nearby, and the wee ferry provides the entertainment. Great

This is an outstanding site and its free. Stayed here before and it is still looking good. The water metering was a new thing and I even spent 50 cents for 50 litres water. Take a bow Mosbach, excellent site.

Stayed here for a week, in Early Sept. A very nice site, parking bays were generous in size. I even had a small tree that gave me some shade. Good cycle tracks nearby able to cycle to the supermarket and Bernkastel-Kues. My only minor negative was 1) finding the electric box then 2) accessing it. I recommend this site and plan to use it again next year.

Arrived here early Sept. I was the first motorhome here, and it looked so unkempt. The surrounding grass was long. There is electricity but it is locked, no water, no dumping of greywater, nor the toilet cassette. Cant see how you can give this place a 10 ??? Yes it was quiet, but the barges that I like to watch passed out-of-sight on the other side of the island. No not again.

Its free and its right on the Neckar. The parking area is on a slight slope, very open and good views of the Neckar river, and the gravel works across the river. Some road noise but not as bad as a nearby backgarden with BBQ noise. The supermarket is nearby, NO services but the rubbish bin was emptied in the morning. Would certainly use this site again, its great to watch the barges slowly going past..

Ideal place to overnight when you are visiting the museum early the next day. Bespoke parking for motorhomes, NO services, but It was quiet during the night, It was free and I would use again, thanks.

First its free. An excellent site, flat, hard standing area for motor-homes only. Recently enlarged, parking bays are identified. The pub next door, good beer and good food. A very good example of a pub stop. Negative some road noise can be heard but it is not bad. Recommended and I will use it again

First its free. Nice little aire but it only really has 8 bespoke motorhome places. This is the second year I have used the site, and I only just found the services this year - hidden in all the parked cars. Very busy, the 8 slots were full by 2pm. The town centre is not far to walk with plenty of shops etc. Would use it again.

First its free. Its a nice little aire, level but on a slight slope, with services. In the middle of a nice village not far off the N10. It was nice a quiet, very relaxing, with a park beside the aire. There is not much more that motorhomers need. Well done Villedomer, I hope to be back in the near future, you are now on my list.

First its free. The site is divided into Motorhomes and buses, bus noise in the morning. Good site on a slight angle. Its March, but even so, the site fill up by 2pm. The site could easily be 4x bigger to cope with the amount of motorhomes that tried later on. Some parked on the streets nearby. Police did do a tour of the site and only moved one motorhome parked on the corner of a junction !!!

First its free. Its new, very clean and in the outskirts of a major city. The layout has been design by someone who understands motorhomes. The bays are wide, a good length and . . angled to each other . . this makes such a subtle difference when parking. When parked you still see the area outside not just the next motorhomes window. Well done Zaragoza, now a Lidl/supermarket would be great.

An excellent free site. Large bays, flat, plenty of room, and there is a hedge to shelter behind if windy. There is also a picnic area, where some other motorhomes parked overnight. The police did do a drive by and left with no comment. The picnic area does give a beautiful view of the town. The road to and from Morella is currently undergoing major upgrade, but it is certainly worth drive.

This site is down thru the woods a single track road. At the site, the ground was not level. it is nowhere near shops or anything. Had a look about, it's a sad looking site. Decided to give it a miss and move on.

A nice site just outside the town hall. The places where well defined by hedges. It was at the end of a no thru road, so very little traffic

This is one of the nicest sites I have been too. Very well done Weilmuenster. OK It is a bit off the autobahn, but well worth It. It was clean and tidy and full services. In the morning it was cleaned and the flowers tended. Supermarket, Aldi, and backery nearby. This is a free site but please consider a donation for the up keep of the site. I do not award 10s easily, this is my first, perfect

I was here last year, and I liked it. This year they have increased the size of the site. It remains good value at 5E, but be aware it is popular dont be too late. Shopping. a supermarket just at the top of the road. Entertainment, watch the small ferry or the barges going up and down the river. . . . just relax.

I stayed here and reviewed the site in 2016. One comment I made was that it needed some TLC. Well it has received some TLC. Well done Mosbach the site now is super !!! Space for 10 more Motorhomes and 2 very sturdy table benches that can be used. A great example for others . . . I am most impressed.

First its free, thank you. Parked here before, and its a nice open quiet site. Plenty of room for the motorhomes and the occasional dog walker car. Its location is perfect just off the N10 and you dont hear the traffic. Will use it again.

Its free, but the area has a 2 way slope, levellers required. It was very quiet but also a damp feel. Considering the weather forecast for sub zero temps decided this was perhaps not the best place to be, so do not stay the night.

An excellent free site. The bays are spacious and well defined. Aldi is at the top of the road. Stayed only one night because woke up in the morning to a -5 degC frost. Will return as it does look inviting. Thanks

First its free. The motorhome parking is at the top right of the car park. The motorhome bays are well identified. It was also flat and level. The car park was busy during the day, and quiet at night. Water for the services was NOT available. Evenso it was a good place for an overnight, with 2 other MHs for company.

At 8 Euros per day its good value considering its location to Madrid. With services, but no electrics. Flat hard surface, and lots of room. No camping allowed (normal), but there are summer seats that you can use. Only 300m from big shopping Mall, with a E.Leclerc supermarket, and cheap fuel. On the other side of Pinto is the railway station, 5Euro20 return to Madrid. Recommended

First its free, and services were free, and it has a view of the monastery, but that is it. The site is a bit of waste land, mainly flat, at the back of a building. Lots of evidence where there had been wood fires. The front of the building had Graffiti on it. After the sites at Chincilla and even Garcimunoz this place was a tip, sorry!! I stay overnight but was never relaxed, not recommended.

First its free, and not far off the motorway. I previously stayed at Chinchilla (47979) so this had high standard to follow. But, the bays are narrow (car size?), and the not level, a crown. The water services were off, but later a Spanish camper showed me the not so obvious valve. It rained so I did not see much of the town. Plus side, it was quiet, and I slept well, a good overnight stop.

First its free, and its a very nice site. Its flat, clean, well light, with services. No power but most units now have solar panels. The hill town is interesting, up the steps. The bakery, shops and Info centre are at the town square. A must visit is the Cuevas del Agujero. Spent 2 nights here, no barking dogs?? peaceful. My only small criticism would be the grey water dump area is a bit short.

First its free. It is one of the best free sites I have visited. Bespoke motorhome area, easy to get to, hardstanding on a slight slope, free services with a double bay, no power. Aldi, Chinese Bazzar, shopping mall with supermarket, and fast food outlets and of course Ikea all nearby, 100-200m. There is a tram stop perhaps 400m that will take you into the town centre. Would certainly use again.

First is free, 72hrs. It may not look much, but it is flat, and has services all free. Note, the sun goes behind the hill quite early, but at night its quiet. Its a nice little town with an information centre. The nearby monastery is a must to visit.

First its free, and a good place to overnight, but no services. Location has 5 identified parking bays for motorhomes (MoVo). But the bays are narrow, 2m, so perhaps only 3-4 MoVos. Due to the positioning of the signage only 1 MoVo can be more than 7m. Parked on a Saturday, and the night was quiet, would use it again.

Without a doubt this is one of my favourite stellplatz. Been here before. Its clean, the grass always seems to be cut. The wardens are unique, friendly and helpful. They take time out to greet newcomers. I use it as a laundry stop because of the price the washing machine and dryer. Its perhaps a small town but it does have at least one good restaurant. Would I use it again .... Oh h*ll YES.

First : Its free. I arrived early Sat morning followed by an unbelievable influx of cars which took over the site. Around noon the cars started to drift away providing spaces once more for MoVos. A good site, services, shade or sun, and a nice town, and an excellent restaurant in the town. Would use this site and also the restaurant again.

A nice quiet town with a quiet parking area. Big level tarmac area but there is also an area on grass under the trees. Normal services, dont need much more. Nice to watch the barges slowly go past. Escapism : eskapismus : escapisme

I was disappointed with Nordheim. Arrived on a fest day (Sunday?). Within an hour of my arrival you could not move because of cars parked everywhere. There was additional car parking available in a field behind but cars were taking up all spaces including motorhome spaces. On a normal day, yes it would have been better, but I cut my proposed stay to only the one day. Be aware of fest days!

Todate I have been to 6 stellplatz am Main. This is my favourite !! Its triangular shape, means you should always be able to park into the wind or sun, as you wish. Normal services are available. Supermarket across from the road entrance as is a petrol station. Lidl is on the main road into Dettelbach. Its quiet, just relax watch the car ferry working and the barges going by, SUPERB.

First ; Its free. Zum Anker had a Ruhetag so I parked here. No problem. The car park has 4 large identified motorhome bays. They are level facing the Main and on tarmac. No services, but none was required. Zum Anker stellplatz is at the other end of the car park in the trees but it looks a bit neglected. Happy to park here and save 5Euros, as did 4(!) other motorhomes.

Its free! Its clean, flat with hard standing, and nicely designed into smaller areas. Bushes are now more mature than in photos and help break the wind. It was quiet overnight, but some noise first thing in the morning from the building works next door. Unfortunately it was pouring with rain when I was there so did not explore the town. A good place to overnight would use it again.

Lidl is within 100m and there is a Chinese Buffet (v good) 150m the other way. There was a bit of traffic noise, but not bad. Would use this site again

This has been for many years now one of my favourite stops. Nothing much has change since last year except the price has went up from 10E to 12E which is a bit of a jump. IMO the price rise has drop its value from 9 to an 8.

I like rustic, but this site just looks unkempt. Stayed only briefly, but decided it was not what I wanted even as an overnight stay.

A nice, clean, level and uncluttered site. Good room for the motorhomes. A planned stop to use the washing machine but stayed an extra day. Good bread service. Would have no problems returning to this site. Thanks

Mar2017, its free. Nice mixed parking area in the shadow of the chateau. Small park nearby. It was flat, and well marked for motorhomes. There is toilets. Note the fresh water tap is not the regular threaded tap type !! It was quiet overnight.

Mar2017, its free. A good sized area, flat with only a slight slope. Both water and electric require tokens. Noisy late afternoon when the college students 'played' in the area. Some traffic noise, and yes you can hear the school buses when they start, heat up then leave in the morning.

Mar2017, An excellent private aire, room for 4 motorhomes, best make contact prior to visit. The owners are Dutch and exceedingly friendly. 13A power. A kitchen is available, with a massive double cooker. Rolls are included in the morning. Washing machine and dryer were the only extras @ 2E50 ea. The only negative is that the site is on a slope and is not hardcore (nitpicking). Excellent 9.5*

A site down near the river between the bridges. Built within the last 5 years, bespoke for motorhomes. Each 2 places have a service station, water and electricity, generous space. The cost is 3E per night which includes electricity!! All very clean, big rubbish bins at the end of each row. An interesting town associated with Port. Plenty of space in other levels for overflow.

A restaurant site, free, but no services and you are expected to eat at the restaurant. The grounds of the restaurant backs onto a river and there is ample parking. The higher ground is on a slight slope, easily negated with levelers. I ate at the restaurant and had what the locals were eating and I was NOT disappointed. The house wine was very drinkable. All in all a good experience recommended.

Feb2017. The motorhome water services are well past it. There is NO water, no grid over the grey water trough, no cover for the WC waste. When I was there (briefly) about 8 motorhomes where in the other parking area nearer the beach. The aire had been abandoned. The town & beach may be nice but I did not stay, better places to find.

Feb2017, firstly its a free site with no services, but there is a big rubbish bin. A mixed parking area on the cliff top just outside the town limits. Motorhome overnight parking is tolerated here, parked for 3 nights, NP. Wonderful wave action, the power, but the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks at night takes a bit of getting use to. There is a little restaurant on the beach.

Feb2017. A site in the town. A sunken area which was perhaps old buildings, it protects you from the wind. All cemented over and walls painted white, which could be a cooking bowl in the summer, no shade. Basic price is 5E, includes motorhome water facilities. Everything else is extra, toilets, showers, elec (only 4A!). It has BBQ area and tables and a motorhome wash 2 Supermarkets nearby.

Feb2017, firstly its a free aire, no services. At the bottom of the hill the road turned into a sand track. It was just a mass of pot holes - it was bad! BUT, arriving at the parking spot and it was worth it - real beachside parking. OK at night there is the noise of the surf but on the second night I did not hear it. BTW, they do scrape the road to reduce the pot holes. Great place

Feb 2017, A small site in a small village. Campercontact shows the recent price rise. Each pitch is well defined and generous. Some interesting long walk to some hidden beaches, excellent.

Feb2017 : A free site, large flat hard packed area with services, 48 hour limit. Another large area immediately adjacent with tarmac roads, handy if ground is wet. Some road noise which reduces during the night. 3 large supermarkets within an easy 5 minute walk, and 2 petrol stations. The toilets were locked when I tried them, but that was at 8am. A very good stop over site.

Feb2017, it is a sad run down site, no electricity, and costs 6Euros/night. There is some traffic noise and a low rumble of a big diesel (somewhere?). Dont let me put you off it has a great view of Setubal harbour and entrance, and it is a busy harbour. It was quiet so I unwound and enjoyed my 2 day stay, watching the ships. A gardener and a lick of paint would do wonders to this place.

21/12/2016 Basically a sizable hardpacked area divided into 2, it is flat and level. Water & WC services in the corner, but not inviting. Busy road on one side, it was quiet at night, and the train line is not far away. On the plus side Olite has a beautiful medival Gothic fortress/palace, well worth an overstay to visit and have a walk about.

19/12/2016 I do not agree with Annyall - the site was tidy and not run down! Small village, mixed parking which has 2 identified motorhome parking bays plus room for more. Services include water and power and nearby toilets. A bakery and butchers are just across the car park, and there is an Aldi just off the N10. Need to support these overnight sites, buy local. There was some train noise.

18/12/2016 Not to far off the main North South road. Some severe 30kph speed humps in the small villages, take heed, IMO 20kph is max speed for these 'bumps'. The site is mixed parking with 4 bespoke bays for motorhomes. The site is flat and level and a bit characterless. Its free and it has services and also free electricity. No sport was been played during my overnight so it was quiet.

Been here many times before but never an overnight. 17/12/2016, at 6pm there were 8 other motorhomes, most I have seen here. So decided just to stop here and not go on to Wissant, 6 motorhomes stayed overnght. There was some traffic noise now and again, otherwise fine.

Big car park, surrounded by a hedge which would break any wind. Parked at the top far end. It had a good surface and quite level. The Inn served a excellent pulled beer, and served me fish and chips. Nice staff. During the night it was quiet with no road noise. Not much more you could ask for really. I plan to return to taste that beer again.

High trees on both side protect this site from wind etc. Parking bays are well defined. It is just off the main road and on the other side of the road is the camp site. Road noise is not obtrusive. It has a snack bar, restaurant, a big Camping shop etc. The site cost 10E/night (September) this includes power and water. All in all a nice site.

A stellplatz on the Mosel, and OK its only 8 Euros but it was rather tightly packed. Good views if you are on the front row, otherwise where I was parked it gave me a feeling of being a sardine.

A topplatz site, the French/German border is only about 500m away. The stellplatz is built on the side of a hill behind the therme building. Each plot is terraced and level with good width to allow the canopy to be deployed. Toilet at the reception building. It was very quiet. Also first time I have ever seen a toilet cassette cleaning machine costs 2E.

An area set aside for motorhomes. 5E plus 2E Kur tax, but later I got 1E back because the Kurtax is 1E/person. The attendant after taking lots of personal information gives a ticket receipt. Which he said would allow me entrance to kur thermal baths and/or a train ride as far as Freibad. (May be worth a revisit). The water services are outwith the parking area but the water is free.

A revisit. A nice site but it is pricy, basic price of 12E/night and everything else is extra. The bays are all marked out with 3 different motorhome lengths, some are individual bays. Short well maintained hedges define each boundary. Unfortunately, the washing machines are very pricey. Colour wash takes 2hr40 costs 10E. Cheapest wash cycle, 6E. Easy cycle into Switzerland. Would use again.

Being 1 adult it cost me 8 Euros. Wide berths, enough space to deploy the sun canopy. Within cycling distance of the Hymer museum and factory.

A nice site at a good price 9E50/night and it has a very good sanitary building. Washer & dryer at a very reasonable 2E ea. Key provided for sanitary building and the bin area. Very clean, top marks, it has everything you require.

Returned to this site again this year, it is a nice and clean site. The restaurant at the brewery has good food and at a reasonable cost. The beer from the site is most drinkable and there is beer vending machine in the toilets - priorities ?!!

OK its a free site but some gardening required to remove/kill the weeds. Otherwise nicely located to go into town, and its a quiet site. I would use it again and I would mark it up if a tidy up was done.

I was here during the middle Mosel wine festival. Busy site, the electricity (which I dont need) was compulsory so it cost 13 Euros/night. The site was OK for 10 Euro but not 13, hence the reason for the low review. Easy cycle ride into Bernkastel-Kues

One of my favourite sites. Unsure why it does not appear in the Topplatz book, but if it did it would get even busier, and it is normally full each day by about noon. If you want a pitch get here early. Nothing I like better than a pitch beside the Mosel, a glass of reisling, relax and watch the barges and pleasure craft slide by. Total escapism you cannot beat it.

Excellent site, everything you need including a washing machine and dryer at a reasonable price. Easy walking distance to the town centre, less than 5 mins. Surprisingly you dont hear the trains just the faint crossing bells. A day bus/train ticket to Bamberg cost 11E70. The train station is at the end of the line so no thru trains. Landscape construction work currently ongoing. Recommended.

My first 10 award. A free site, electricity and water provided, plenty of space although no WC or grey water dumps. In the evening it was quiet, I shared the site with 2 other motorhomes. I even arranged a wine tasting, it was all very civilised.

Did not get to the site!! Road/bridge works near the castle. Road signs indicate a 2.2m width restriction, to narrow for me, so I had the reverse back do a tricky turn and leave. The 5 score given does not reflect the site but the access.

Busy place during the day or was this because it was a Sunday? Long motorhomes best use the top parking area. Big grass park area below the car park and then its right onto the promenade. During the evening the cars left and it was quiet. Automatic toilet, E0.30, between the road and the car park. A good site to visit Gijon.

Large grass area for overnight parking. Popular with Spanish motorhomes. Nice view onto the estuary, simply a nice simple site. Water facilities at the road side. Early morning, noticed the fish jumping right beside the sea wall.

A nice clean site. Pitches are generous and water at every power station. Power is 3Euros for 6A a bit expensive but the site is only 5 Euros. Washing machine is 3E or 4.5E for the bigger one. There is 2 sets of clothes lines, nice touch. There is a supermarket about 150m away, and you are on the edge of the town. Lastly, it has 3 outdoor cubicles which by peoples bathrobe attire were showers!

This is really the only choice if driving North/South thru middle of Portugal. It is a nice clean big municipal site. The only downside to the site is that it is on a oblique slope, you may need 3 levelers. I did notice that some motorhomes are camping on the service road at the tent area which looks flat. Showers are good and hot, and somewhat hidden. An Intermarche supermarket about 200m away.

Big free car park, on a slight slope. No facilities. Did an overnight with 4 other motorhomes, plenty of room. There was a steady stream of traffic using the road up to the town. It is a cobbled road so it is noisy with the traffic. 3 big supermarkets on the ring road about 2km away. The town with is narrow streets are best walked, it has a castle with commanding views

The campsite is about 1km up a dirt road, which after rain is full of puddles - thats the downside. The site is a bit of a strange design, hardly a straight section of road, terraced, and little hide away places. Its quite unique. If you are interested in pottery well this is the place to visit, and there are examples of pottery throughout the site. 10Euros the first night then 7.50Euros

OK, it does not look pretty but its functional. For 3 Euros you get basic facilities, I did not try the toilets! and security and wi-fi. Its only 150m to Lidl, and 3 restaurants outside the gate. Electricity is extra. A good site to visit Quarteira. You should not expect the earth for 3 Euros, and some places it would cost 3 Euros just for wi-fi.

Arrive early to get a place!! On the day I arrived by 11:00 it was full. The site is in the shape of an "H" and the motorhomes park nose to tail. There is overflow parking nearby. 4Euros50 a very fair price, electricity extra. Grey water and WC disposal is at the far end. A 200m board walk to the beach with its nice fine sand. Get up early and be awarded with some very nice sunrises.

An ACSI registered site cost 17 Euros, inc power. Drive thru the gates you find yourself driving on hard sand - Welcome to El Rocio. Pitches are well defined with trees and a hedge, wide and deep and the surface is sand not grass. A double kerb onto the pitch. Over 200 pitches but it does not feel like a big site. Big toilet blocks, 2nd one closed. The toilets and showers great, showers are hot.

A good campsite, contrary to the other review the showers were great, good pressure and hot. Toilets were nice and clean. Pitches an OK size. During my visit it was windy but within the campsite it was well sheltered. Bar/restaurant at the gate (Tappas). Overall a good site, paid 17E/night. One negative, I did not find the motorhome service point !! I would use this site again.

Been here a previous year. Basic yes, but pitches are a good size. 9 Euros with power - I would use it again. The main negative is that there is not much in the immediate vicinity.

The biggest problem with this site is finding out where to pay. Eventually found the 'Torre' belonging to the port authorities where you pay for your stay. 9 Euros, more if you want power. Parking is on the harbour wall, and there are perhaps 30-40 motorhomes here, and more at the other site round the habour. Strong winds overnight and the sea wall did not offer much protection.

Big-ish site, 2 toilet blocks, good toilets and showers, even a dog shower. Not too far from the town. But, be aware of the potential electricity charges, IMO consider 3 Euros/day for electricity.

A excellent site, 7E + 3E for electricity. It has all the facilities, toilets, showers and Wi-Fi etc and it is a busy site. Friendly staff. Small bar & restaurant next door. Bread delivered at 7:30 Downside, there is not much to do in the area. I did find out there is a bus to San Jose perhaps 4 times a day.

Nice campsite, 2 sets of toilets and showers. Note, the one with the ramp has much more room. Pitches are a good size. The site even has an indoor leisure room with TV, etc. Plus 2 outdoor public meeting areas. Supermarket at the roundabout. An ideal site to visit Cartagena, the bus stop is near the roundabout and cost 1E20 to get into the town. Note, naval museum closed on Monday.

This site is expensive for what it provides, ie no toilets and no showers yet it costs 10E. Electricity is 3E extra. If you do not take the electricity option you are placed outwith the range of the site wi-fi. Not as if there is much in the immediate area to amuse. Sorry

An excellent little campsite tucked away from view just on the outskirts of the town. There was no noise, good toilets and showers, big bays . . . and a washing machine that was free to use. Beside the reception is the bar which done some nice tappas. Supermarket is perhaps 200m up the street, My only negative comment was the site electrics they appeared to upset my fridge/freezer. This Campsite was a pleasant surprise. It has nice clean toilets and good showers. My only real negative is that the service roads are a bit tight, the bays are wide but only 7.5m deep. I had a problem with my fridge/freezer and the receptionist was most helpful. There are a few supermarkets nearby, an interesting old town to visit and a port and further along the coast a nice beach. Liked it

My second year visiting this site. The 2 recent UK reviews were a bit scathing. Its 8 Euros, you dont expect toilets/showers for everyone, if you want more you pay more. The nearest supermarket is just up at the roundabout, about 500m, you would have driven past it - I used it. I will admit that the town does look dead but many of the restaurants are surprisingly open. I would use it again.

Mature site, the narrow service lanes provided a challenge for getting a 7m motorhome into its bay. Bays are wide and well defined with a hedge and this provided a very good protection from the wind. A definite plus point. Facilities are a bit old looking but functional even an old vertical loading washing machine - which worked - and was cheep compared to some sites. IMO the 18E price is high

Firstly its free, so one should not quibble. I arrived after a day of heavy rain, so lots of puddles and some wet/soft soil off the main track. No problems driving in or out. The basic facilities look old and worn and I was not tempted to fill up my water tank. To be positive it is a nice location, quiet, and very tall trees. It would be nice to visit it again in better weather.

Excellent site. Second year that I have camped here. Note, the water is not the normal screw thread type, plus remember your ticket to get out!! One draw back this year I did pay for extra electricity but after the 4 or 6 hrs my credit was gone?

Awkward access from the North as it is right on a bend. Once in, the site is secluded and quiet. I would expect in spring/summer the place will have some nice flowers. Good toilet block. My only quibble would be the need for tokens and the token machine will not work with UK cards. I would certainly use the site again if I was in the area.

The entrance to the site had looked more like to a building site (10/10/15). The road surface was in a terrible condition. The site is much further up this 'road', once passed the sports building the road improved. The motorhome site is a large area. No cost, but no facilities only rubbish bins. The surface was flat and covered with red whin stones, but a much better surface than the road to it.

A bit remote its about a mile away from the aire. Clean and tidy, but no water to clean out the toilet cassette, unless you buy drinking water. But ... thankful it was available.

Overnight mixed parking by the marina. Cost normally 7E, but 3.50E in the off season. No facilities only garbage buckets. Facilities elsewhere in the town, follow signposts. The normal 7E is far too pricey and I would give a low 4 score. The 3.50E charge is more reasonable. The big advantage of this site is that it is handy for the Dunkirk Ferry. The supermarkets Lidl & Super U within 1-2kms

An aire that is only open to motorhomes between 1 Oct to 30 Apr. A mixed parking site, with buses, in the centre of town. No cost, but no facilities. (8/10/15) Only one bus which strangely did an overnight with us, 8 motorhomes. The town does look as if it is closed down for winter, so different from Westende in Belgium only 19 miles away, which is very much alive with people and tourists.

Parking for 6 motorhomes between the hours of 20:00 to 08:30. Its free and it has facilities, and power (x2 only) all at cost. It has a 24hr petrol station within 30m (some noise) and a very handy laundry beside it, 3E/wash, 7E/large wash (eg duvet), 2E/drying. Laundry is well used, and of course the supermarket. Note I was still able to use my Belgium SIM card here - Belgium (2 miles away)

A very nice little aire outside of town. Its associated with the next door Bistro. 6 generous pitches each with water etc, 10A power and Wi-Fi, all for 6E. It is clean and well maintained. The service bay has drinking water taps and power on either side of the bay, ie to suit both left or right hand drive units. Plus if you decide to eat in the Bistro then the 6E pitch fee for that day is waived.

A very simple dead end road on either side of the canal. No fees, but no facilities, a quiet tree lined street, some road noise and an occasional barge ambling past. Cycled into Aalter to the shops. 6 motorhomes already here by early evening.

A small 2 motorhome site, clean and set aside from the main car park. Parking is free and water facitliies etc are available, and also free, no power. The town is clean, quiet and almost sleepy. Providing that you get one of the 2 pitches its a nice place to wander about.

The site is right beside the train station. The station is the end-of-the-line, so no thru train traffic, but there are quite a few trains during the day and evening. The cost is 4E/night, elec 0.50E/1kWh. Water is free, but it does not have a 'normal' screw thread. I have 3 different adaptors but none fitted.

The site is on the outskirts of the town, 6 rows of pitches, 2 on hardstanding. 6E per 24hr period, power is inclusive. Normal facilities available at cost. There is a Lidl supermarket nearby, and also the town shops. Orders for baker bags taken in evening. Not much traffic noise.

Easy walk into the town centre and despite its location little to no traffic noise. Hire of E-Bikes available, 14E/day. Baker comes in the morning.

Located at the back of a restaurant. Four 'free' pitches on hardcore surface. Location of utilities are not obvious and Elec costs 2E per day (1.5Kwh) paid in the restaurant. In the field beside the stellplaetz are deer and geese. The geese can be noisy at times. Prices in the restaurant looked ok and the food was good. Note it is closed on a Tuesday.

A free car park, with normally only about 8-12 pitches. I did not find any facilities, but I was not parked in the motorhome area. There was some road noise, but its an ideal for a one night stand. Note, Goslar old town is a very nice place to visit, recommended, and this car park is an ideal location.

Situated right beside the VW plant. 8 pitches screened off from the main car park. 3E per 24 hr period inc power but no water? BUT : Very noisy with a lot of traffic noise, even during the night. Due to its location, ie visiting the VW plant it’s a must.

A small site, just on the outskirts of the town centre at Burger Park. The site surface is fine hard core, which sticks to shoes when wet. Two rows of motorhomes screened off from the main car park. A power point for either row, I wanted power for the microwave so stuck 1E in and it lasted for hours! Basic facilities are at the entrance.

Area screened off with trees and hedges from the carpark, and there is an overflow area in the carpark. The site can cater for big motorhomes. Basic facilities, elec costs 2E and an overnight stay costs 9E. Nearby is the swimming pool, a Greek restaurant an Italian restaurant and a bakery/Café. The carpark is a Park & Ride with a local bus that will take you into the town centre.

An open unmarked basic site beside the sports centre, plenty of shade. Basic facilities, which included free drinking water. Electricity also included in the cost of 8E per night - paid at the parking ticket meter.

I consider this to be one of my ideal sites, I have been here before. Note: You must arrive early to get a pitch. The cost is 10E which includes 6A power, water and Wi-Fi. The site is not manned, entrance, payment and exit are all automatic. There is a new wine barrel 'office' where you put in your ticket and pay. I like relaxing, watching the barges amble by, with a glass of Riesling in hand.

A small wine merchants on the outskirts of the town. Vineyards to the side and behind. Inside the main building is a toilet and a shower, if reqd. There are seats and a table for the campers to use. The power is 10A inclusive in the price of 8E50. You can of course also taste & buy wine.MA simple tidy, clean and quiet site. IMO There is not much more you really need to enjoy the Mosel.

Right beside the Mosel The ground is hard packed stones, level, with a bit of grass, all neat and tidy, bays are fenced. The electrical power boxes feed perhaps 8 bays, so you may need a long cable. During my 2 day stay the grass got cut and the bushes trimmed. Expect a queue for the baker in the morning. Some traffic noise but overall a good site, at a very reasonable price.

A motorhome on Camper contact with an average of 9.3 deserves a visit. The site was clean and tidy and the parking lots well defined by concrete blocks in the grass. Stream with 6Ah and wi-fi was included in the cost 10E (08/28/2015). The owner was friendly, he spoke English, German, Dutch and perhaps more. I arrived on a Friday and they had a coffee evening, good coffee and pastries. If the current 10A would be, I would give this place a 10.

This campsite is now on my best list. The young couple that run the place are great, and the place has a happy atmosphere. But, if you want a pitch be there early. Toilets and showers are a bit limited. Free wi-fi and there are free lemons in a basket for you to help yourself. Nearby town has a market on a Friday.

Another good site that I have visited this year. The site rep was always busy and most friendly. The site and toilets were clean, showers work great. Washing mc & dryer 3E each. Mercado is a bit of a walk. Down towards the beach is the tram which can take you into Alicanti, for 1E45. Note, there is a large Carrefour just off the A70 main dual carrageway

My only complaint about this place is that you're crowded. That is to say, the place was full and the Manager left me there anyway. I was so double parked the first night. The next day I got a good place. Supermarkets and restaurants very close by.

I never give a 10 for a RV Park. There is always room for improvement. Current was a problem when I was there. But for 6 euros with wi-fi, but without power = OK. It was a really nice place, clean and fresh. The young shrubs and trees will later give more shade. The administrator was always busy and always present. It is on the outskirts of the city, but some restaurants are nearby. Recommended.

A popular, great location, even at the end of January there were about 20 campers. I was here for the second time. Blocks necessary. Nice walk along the coast.

A bit expensive for what it is (11E), no power but it did have free Wi-Fi which worked well. When I was there it was very windy on site. The wind was blowing from landward side with no real shelter. The high hedge may give some shelter but you are then in its shadow from the sun.

traffic noise from the gas station at night, but not much. A convenient place to stay. Fresh bread in the morning.

March 2013, all the nearby campsites were closed, so this was a lucky find. Large tarmac parking area, with marked parking bays, on a slight slope. No power, no water, but it did have large overhead night lights. It is on the edge of the town, and across the road from a very nice bay. You really dont need much more.
