Very handy for city break in Bruges. close to the Old Town and the train station both a short walk or cycle away. The original pitches as you come into the Aire are a bit small but if you head around to the extension there is more space. yes it’s expensive but so is parking in most places these days but it is convenient.

Our first experience of a Camping Car park and if this is the standard likely to be our last. The site was overgrown, the pitches were deeply rutted and unusable which was confirmed by the hand written signs saying not to park on the The electric bollards on some sites had fallen over and the only occupant was a battered up van with a mattress in the back. we left within 10 minutes using no facilities but still got charged the 5 hr rate

After Tardingen (Drainage Works) & Wissant (as usual) full looked for other options and had heard about this new site at Sangatte. Huge Parking facilities on hard-standing slightly downhill but not too bad. Currently no facilities but good walks in the area and excellent seafood Bistro 2 minutes walk away.

Great location for visiting Cologne on the banks of the Rhine. A little basic with waste and water outside although good size pitches.

Great little aire enroute to the Loire Valley. Services are across the road by the swimming lac and the 5 spaces around in a courtyard behind the main road.

Perfect location for biking and hiking in the Eifel National Park. Good facilities including showers and waste. Bring lots of 50c for electric and showers.

Nice friendly campsite overlooking the English Channel. Stayed one night before first time in Motorhome to Europe. Narrow access road but if you arrive and leave during suggested times should be ok.

Handy stopover to or from the tunnel. Easy 5 minute walk into town and great market on a Friday along with an authentic French Christmas market. Good outlook over the marina and only 3.5 per night low season. Service facilities signposted a few minutes away by the Gendarmerie.

Great location just outside Ypres with easy access to the town via a lit path and access to plenty of cycle routes to the historic places and Memorials. Nice outlook across the fields with water and emptying facilities at the entrance.

Great for a transit stop when travelling across Belgium or France. Some road noise as you would expect in a town. Nice walk into town with a good market and plenty of boulangeries.

Handy for the tunnel and close to the village and the beach. Dump facilities but no water or electrics. Frequently full and you will be woken at 6am by the bus starting up and probably also somebody driving around looking for space in the middle of the night.

Perfect stop by the Mosel, we stayed at Christmas and went to the underground wine festivals in the caves. Come early as it was full by early afternoon between Christmas and New Year. Easy walk or cycle along the river into town. 12 euro per night

Metz was full due to Christmas Market and heading to Alsace this was enroute. Very quiet behind a sports centre and supermarket. Tokens available from the service area for the electrics.

Handy when visiting the Eura Mobil factory. Carpark outside the swimming pool and tennis club. 6 euros paid to the bar at the tennis club which you can use and next door is an open air swimming pool complex

Handy for visiting Salzburg either by bus or cycle along the river. Amazing private bathroom facilities with an onsite cafe doing good local food. Views from the pitches but only end on not side to side pitches available.

Our favourite “local” campsite. Being about 1hr 15 from the channel tunnel this is our favourite local French campsite. Well layed out with different pitch options and several wash blocks. A lot of investment over the last couple of years including a new indoor pool, brasserie and shop. Very family friendly and great cycling around the Bain De Somme nearby.

Great Camping and Caravan Club Site in the heart of East Sussex. Perfect for exploring Ashdown Forest the home of Winnie the Pooh and easy access to Royal Tunbridge Wells and 5e South Coast with train links into London. Quiet site, good bathrooms and perfect position for enjoying the fireworks on Bonfire Night (Nov 5).

Handy stopover for early morning tunnel crossing or late night arrival. Great shopping centre with hypermarket for stocking up on French goodies. Service station on the opposite ring road has service point with waste and fresh water.

Great little stopover enroute from Calais to Normandy. Car park divided by hedges, no facilities but baker and carrefore just around the corner.

Stayed in the field behind the tourism office, spoke with the office and they mentioned Police have been moving people on from the cliff top parking and the other plus it's totally flat and quiet.

Great little stopover in the heart of Alsace. Hard standing and grass to park on along with two electric hookups. Fresh water and waste disposal also available. The tasting room was open during our visit to sample and purchase wines and other local products, bakery is also available to order the night before.
