Excellent stopover. 14GBP gets you a secure quiet night with all the necessary facilities including pub toilets available 24 hours. . An informative and welcoming manager, polite and helpful bar staff, and, to top it all, an open fire in the bar and wonderful pie and chips. Thoroughly recommended.

Great location for the tunnel. However, spent the first part of the evening keeping an eye on two blokes who'd been trying door handles on the assumed empty vans. Then, a knock on the door at 11.00pm by security who told us overnight stays are no longer allowed due to a "problem with immigrants" he recommended the LIDL carpark 400 metres away! But only until 6.00am. Not the most restful of nights.

Second time here, this time for 4 nights to see family. Well-situated but feels increasingly over-expensive for what is a carpark with facilities. N. B. Electricity is controlled through the central post. Tips - Lorrach market on Saturday morning, and, Pizza Pinocchio (booking advised).

Lovely site if a bit tight. Great walk up to "la buvette" although it was closed when I arrived :(. Free due to an October stay but just the one obvious water tap at the service point meant that there was no way we were taking on "drinking" water. Not for those who attract mozzies!

Brilliant free aire, including free hook up. Interesting drive to and from the village but rewarded with fantastic views and a very peaceful night. Could not see any signs about payment - no ticket/cash machine and no jeton required. Wonderful.

2nd visit here and the village is as beautiful as ever. The CP is fantastic as a free stop for at least a few days. And, Pizza Niquel is still as bonkers as it always is. Love this place.

Site is well-situated for Carcassone just 45 minutes by bike via the Canal du Midi. Spacious pitches, some levelling required. Shower and toilet block in need of a bit of TLC but perfectly fine. Acsi rate - 15.00 per night in the close season, good value for money.

Beautiful free spot with payment required for all/any services. It's best to empty the cassette, grey water and then take on fresh water at the same time as it is 3EUR for 20 mins of service time. Electricity is paid for by jetons and costs 3EUR per 4 timed hours NOT kwh. All paid for by credit card on the site machine.

Beautiful stop, great views towards the Pyrenees, really friendly guy collecting the money (8 euro per night all in), and, if you're lucky, marvellous sunsets. The only downside was inability to connect to the provided wifi.

Pros - friendly welcome, good sized piches, generally level, clean site, decent location for old town, old town beautiful especially with a glass of wine and tapas watching football in the old market square. Cons - constant motorway noise, more info on the site required, very expensive for what is provided. Coming soon - toilets and showers.

A beautifully situated and spotlessly clean aire in what feels like a village that consists of second homes and a handful of permanent inhabitants. . There is currently only one walking leaflet available at the aire although the area has a well-marked network of paths. Stunning views of the mountains throughout the village. Small shop and bar in the centre.

Great free CP with all the services including free electricity and within easy walking distance of beautiful old town. However, there is a long list of what you are "expressly forbidden" to do and it does not get quiet until well after 11:00pm. Noises included revving scooters and motorbikes, sheep, donkeys, and general conversation from the locals.

You can't make this place up. Free parking, free showers, free toilets, free service point, free swimming pool and permanent barbecue and grill. Also, regular visits from the fish van and the bread van. A friendly welcome at the Alfaris bar with their Thursday pizza nights and Saturday live music. A great place.

Decent enough for an overnight stop. Traffic noise can be intrusive from quite early in the morning. The town is good for restocking - Mercadona - but limited site facilities mean one night stay at the most. Shame really as the area looks worth exploring.

Great stopover with stunning daytime and evening views. If you can, park as near as possible to the TO for the levelish spots. Cassette emptying a but awkward as no rinse tap. Whiled away the time watching the vultures circle above and much of the local population running/marching/walking up the road in front of the aire.

Excellent clean campsite with level pitches and all facilities run by a friendly professional young Dutch couple who speak perfect English. We especially liked the beautiful sea views, the easy bike ride into Torrox Costa and the very good and cheap restaurants next to the site. This is a fantastic place, also great for over-wintering. Good idea to book in advance.

Clean, well-organised site with level pitches. Excellent shower and washing machine (with own detergent). Nearby town has good facilities although some way from the beach. On the down side there is no drinking water available and the midday breeze/gale can play havoc with van awnings.

We'd read all the reviews before we drove here but it didn't work for us. Too much rubbish on site as well as dried dog muck. The bar attendees leaving at 1.00am didn't help either. And the snail population after a rain shower has to be seen to be believed. Perhaps it's the end of summer but it felt a bit tired and unloved.

Interesting site with obviously a lot of thought being put into what's on offer - bottled water, picnic tables, a plunge pool and fresh eggs from the chickens. However, ehu which sometimes does not work and which constantly trips when boiling a kettle, plagues of mosquitos and a background scent of effluent do detract. Oh, and the trains did not keep us awake.

Great location although feeling a bit tired and dusty at the end of the summer. Lovely town and the river swimming is the perfect antidote to the 37 degree August sun

Practical, pleasant overnight stop. You may even get an invite to the village hall for a session of "laughing yoga". We politely declined.

Apart from the road noise, fairly continual rail traffic, the non-functioning electricity outlet (no 6) and the bloke who skidded to halt, jumped out and had a pee , it was fine. Not for the light-sleeper or the easily offended.

Clean, well-organised site. A few niggles though due to their inflexibility. It's a 20 minute bus ride from the city centre and the site reception will only sell one-way tickets and not day tickets even though they use the same app! Unless you are Tour de France standard forget cycling. And we lost our ACSI discount because we did not show it at check-in.

Excellent location if a little difficult to find as the turning into the restaurant carpark is not that obvious. Great views across the Darsser Bodden as well as superb fish rolls from the harbour imbiss.

Didn't stop. Place was overfull as were the bins. It had a shabby, dusty, neglected feel. 1 euro to empty the chemical toilet but no facility to rinse it. Very disappointing

2nd time here and still great that it is free. Couple of niggles though - the hookup only takes 50 cent coins (minimum of two to start) and there is no bin for rubbish disposal. However, lovely and quiet and an easy riverside walk to the town centre.

Great location for Basel and decent pizzeria. However 13EUR per night is a bit expensive when you have no toilet/shower facility, you have to pay for water and electricity, and in theory no camping behaviour in order to park the maximum possible number of vans.

Excellent, with everything a campervanner needs and at such a low price. You even get a visit in the evening to check that all is fine.

Beautiful location, friendly and welcoming staff, and, a warm and clean toilet/shower block. However, pitches uneven in all directions, no drive-on grey water disposal (perhaps by bucket?), and, wifi and phone signal very intermittent depending on location within the site. On site shop and bakehouse expensive.

£10 for overnight with no facilities is a bit expensive so we made sure we arrived after 4pm when the overnight price is £5. Lovely fishing village with good range of pubs, bars, etc. Top tip - The Fountain Inn for great food, good beer and warm homely atmosphere

Good value overnight parking with no facilities. Good for an out of season base for a few days hiking but I would imagine it is very busy during the summer.

Peaceful, relatively traffic-free spot in a small village. Good spot for a quiet overnighter before or after a cha nel crossing. Only down side is that the toilets only get opened in order to get cleaned, after which they are promptly locked back up again. Maybe this is just the January routine.

Convenient for town centre and well-maintained site. However, over-complicated automatic check-in, pitches sloping in both directions, toilet and shower block closed although no reduction in cost and internet signal weak and unreliable away from reception. Too expensive.

Beautiful place. Big skies coupled with peace and quiet as well as the chance to go hiking through the surrounding forests.

Pleasant spot next to the Rhein and very convenient for the town centre. Good, clean shower and loo block. Light sleepers may find the overnight freight trains a bit disruptive.

Quiet, peaceful spot. Jeton required for water and hookup but no information as to where to buy them, we assumed it would be the Tourist Info but seeing as it was a Sunday afternoon we didn't waste our time looking for it when it would probably be closed.

Excellent site with a great view from the top tier. Brilliantly quirky pizza restaurant with an antique shop on the "main" (hardly any traffic) road. A nice quiet spot livened up by the twice a day Jack Russel dog. Would get a 10 if there was hookup. Free WiFi at the Tourist Info.

Pleasant site but ruined by the fiasco of the jeton system. We arrived Saturday, the site had no info about how to buy a jeton; the Tourist Info was closed until Monday and had no notice in the window of where to buy them. Only after Google prompted us for a review of the Tourist Info, we gave it 1 out of 5, did we get a Tourist Info reply telling us we could buy one in Le Bardouquet restaurant.

First impression was not great as it is surrounded by trees so that you have no views of the mountains and quite close to the main road. It also felt expensive at 10EUR for the stop, 2EUR for hookup and then a further 2EUR if we had wanted water. However it is well situated for the town and the traffic noise was not that intrusive. Payment is by an "honesty" system so you will need the exact amount.

Town had a very nondescript feeling about it although the free WiFi at the tourist info is always to be grateful for. The sloping carpark is a bit of a challenge and one night for us was more than enough.

Stunningly beautiful in the Autumn sun - we stayed 4 nights. With tourist tax, 7.50 per night for 2. Good shower and hookup included but squatting loo, no recognisable water outlet and no black water discharge. Sit down loo available next to ski lift

Not the friendliest of welcomes as we arrived over the lunch break even th the site almost empty. Official opening hours then ignored so we could not contact reception at all. Probably OK in the high season but not as it winds down. Pitches difficult to access and of sticky clay and looking tired.

Stayed on October 8th 2018. Good for one night maximum on the way further south. Dodgy grey/black water emptying. Grey Sunday out of season does not do it any favours but there's a launderette in the town which is never a bad thing.

Useful stop due to proximity to supermarket, washing machines and fuel. We were not comfortable with the toilet setup - one room with two urinals and two cubicles for all genders.

Peaceful, secluded spot on the banks of the Saone with plenty of walks and bike rides on the door step. Make sure you drive past the boat workshop to get to the aire. Registration is at the Port office but they do not check the carpark for arrivals! Bar closed from October onwards and haphazard approach to providing toilet paper in the loo - take your own to avoid disappointment.

Simply stunning location that is well worth the effort of getting there. You are not obliged to eat in the restaurant but if you do you'll get good solid meals with excellent wines.

Noisy from both the motorway and early morning lorry departures nearby and very expensive, coming at 22eur after paying the kurtax. Extras include 3eur for a shower and free use of toilets in the pool and clinic however they're not always open. Won't be back.

For a free site this does not get much better. Lots of space, pleasant views and a chance for a good walk through the interesting village and surrounding countryside. 50 cent coins needed for the electric feed and water supply.

Spacious hard/gravel pitch. Therme 2hr evening ticket is not cheap but still value for money. Nice touch to provide a washing line for Therme users. Be aware that the parking ticket machine only takes coins.

Well worth it at 5EUR. Quiet site with friendly staff at the kiosk - good beer too! Services a bit scattered with a walk over the road to the water and chemical toilet disposal. The town is beautiful and a 15 minute cycle ride gets you to Plankstetten Cloister with great food and good prices - and more good beer!

Carpark attached to pool complex. Great views if a little soulless. The town and Burg are worth a stroll but the pool is expensive at 11EUR per person. Carpark fee at 11EUR also a bit on the pricey side. We did see some vans drive in, use the service point and leave at no cost.

Could not fault it. Beautifully quiet site three minutes drive away from the hotel. Hosts speak excellent English and are very friendly, even giving us a bag of freshly picked apples from the neighbouring orchard. Great value at 15EUR for two - this includes water, electricity and wonderfully clean toilets and showers.

Pleasant site, clean, functional washing and toilet facilities. Slightly expensive at 23.90EUR for two people with showers 1EUR extra in a slot machine. The public road through the site can be a bit off-putting.

Tight, over 7m could struggle, but pleasant location, Small pitches on hard stony ground with shade for just three vans. Beautiful spot on the Danube with good, clean facilities as well as the neighbouring public pool which is great value at 2.50 EUR, half price after 18.00. Supermarket 10 min walk. At 11EUR per night, 2EUR extra for electricty, good value and recommended.
