Stayed here one night. Better than the upper car park if it's windy. Hard standing with a few positions to park. Very remote and very quiet. Interesting place with a lot of history. 3km boarded walk around the site with lots of information about Marconi's work in the area and coincidentally the same place where Alcock and Brown crash landed. No facilities at all just a very remote POI. Lovely beaches just up the road but no stopovers there.

Stunning spot to stay over. We were here off season so not to many about. Make sure you've all you need with you as there's nothing other than a layby to park in, walks and the view. Levelling ramps are handy here too. Very quiet night. The wind was strong(ish) but was blowing off shore so we were protected by the land rising behind us but I think it'd have been a different story if it had been blowing onshore. Worth checking before driving over.

Got here and could see that it would be stunning stop over but bear in mind it is a small working harbour. Good hard flat stand clear of the harbour but the crab bait was sitting out in crates so the air was a bit thick with rotten fish, wasn't good for the stomach so we moved on. Such a beautiful place though. Well worth it for the remoteness, peace, view and quiet. We just arrived on the wrong day which was a pity but, it's a working harbour.

We arrived about 2pm and were directed to park 20ft away from the pay toll beside the campers that were already there, so near the staff and safe for the camper. Went for a walk around the cliffs which were heaving with people, but very well worth it. Gates were lifted and staff went home around 6 (dark at 7) so free after 6 atm. just a parking space and a bin, but very quiet all night. Useful, safe, quiet stopover with a stunning walk.

Arrived late on but there were a couple of other motorhomes at the far end of the car park so joined the line. Peace and quiet all night with no bother at all. Cameras up in the car park so seems like a safe spot. You'd have the local pubs (of which there are many in walking distance) for evening entertainment and the castle/folk park open in the morning for a walk around. Water tap over by the bus parking. All in all a good spot to stop over.
