Well laid out pleasant site with individual terraced pitches, water and electricity at each and clean new sanitaries. Friendly staff, some English spoken. Wellness Centre with baths and sauna, restaurant (all closed). Would have given a 10 but early October let down by no heat in shower room and water almost cold in showers basins and sinks, so we had to use our own.

Small motorhome parking area in yard without outlook at end of steep narrow street on edge of town. Upper part of site with pool quite pleasant. Friendly and helpful English speaking owner. But the small sanitary facilities are more Heath-Robinson than Country Club. Wonky difficult to control showers, hot water to wash up sinks not working. Overpriced.

It’s a carpark, 4 Lei, busy in the day, used by cars and coaches visiting Horezu Monastery. The cafe/bar by the carpark is open from 7am to nearly midnight, its ageing clientele gets rather boisterous as the evening progresses, boozy singing, so don’t expect a quiet night... not to mention the early morning dogs, bells and cockerels! Best park free near Monastery gates.

In charming unspoilt traditional village. Access via narrow bendy rubble tracks NOT for vans over 6m. Sloping grassy field with beautiful mountain views. Helpful young Dutch owners. Basic but clean sanitaries. Cassette emptying in toilet possible but only with eco or no additives. Good walking available. Bear country but shy and you’ll never see them.

Pleasant small campsite next to hotel in valley above town. Good clean showers and toilets in hotel. Covered cooking and wash up area. Emptying at lift up manhole in street with owners assistance. Friendly owner speaks Italian, wife speaks English. Long walks up mountain possible but little opportunity for short local walks.

pay at hotel, code gives access to WCs and showers of hotel quality (even when sign says ‘Closed’). Big parking area by smart hotel and restaurant, a little road noise daytime. At upper end of Bicaz Gorge near lake. Nice surroundings. Good walking.

Beautiful spot by the Canal de L’Est. A couple of parking bays ok for smaller vans and a gravelled area at the end with some grass. Picnic tables and a barbecue, and a water tap . Phone reception patchy. The nice restaurant has closed owing to retirement, and on a Saturday in June the snack/frites place was closed.

Beautiful quiet gravelled stellplatz in woodland clearing by historic station building which is being restored by friendly and helpful Dutch owners. Clean new toilets and shower. Direct access to cycling and walking tracks along old railway and in surrounding woods and hills. Close to village. Electricity is a bit expensive but is 10 amp and unmetered.

Agree with previous reviews, however showers (two in same curtained cubicle) leave something to be desired in terms of privacy. Water tap was not working, emptying point clogged up. Nobody in reception and no pricing information. A point worth mentioning... you can buy a 7€ day ticket for all transport in central two zones on the ferry...5 min walk from station over the water. Lines 8/5 to centre.

1/9/2017 lovely quiet spot in small family owned holiday development at the end of a narrow road up a tranquil wooded valley. Lots of walks in the woods. Only 1 wc and 1 shower. Water and emptying and 6A electricity included but now at 14€ rather expensive. Lynn and Ian

4/9/2017. A really pleasant quiet stellplatz by popular Gasthof in small rural hamlet off the beaten track. The price is now €7, but worth it. Water electric, wc and grey water facilities now provided. Food in the Gasthof is excellent. Lynn and Ian

5/9/2017 Very small very basic campsite in quiet spot in woods. Ageing Portakabin type toilets/basins. No washing up or laundry sinks...use basins. For cassettes use wc. One shower each m/f...tray with obscure glazed screen, ok for those with confident body image! Friendly owner, speaks some English. Lynn and Ian

10 Oct. 2017. Gravel/ mud carpark on edge of village, outside open air baths and restaurant. Now 5€+2€ per person tax. Tax pays for a booklet of discount vouchers for attractions/ restaurants none of which are local, and for free use of local buses. Only electricity 2€. Quiet. Check in at restaurant.

28 Sept. 2017. 5 designated spaces in riverside car park on edge of pleasant Altstadt. Sloping, blocks needed. 10 hours stay accepted, for longer than that now you must pay 5.10€ at Torgauer Information Centre, 1 Markt 0.5k walk away in town. Lynn and Ian

2/9/2017 This is a nice quiet place, especially when as today the baths were closed. However a weight limit has been posted at the car park entrance restricting access to vehicles over 2.8T. So we didn't stay. Lynn and Ian

09 Oct 2017. Gravel parking on edge of open countryside. Quiet. Free. Electricity. Next to small cafe/bar, water and emptying between cafe and spots field. Lots of walking and cycling.

Despite being on the edge of town this is a dreary carpark overlooking an untidy mess of buildings dominated by an ugly out of place tower block. The services work but no drinking water, this has to be carried from the spa reception foyer. No drive over grid. Overpriced, unless you have come here for the baths, then you get a 5€ discount.

11/09/2017 There is a separate stellplatz with generous defined spaces for 60 vans on 3-4 terraces opposite the hotel above the campsite. Excellent distant views. €11.50 per night +€1 per person per night kurtax. Electricity extra by €1 coins in slot. Reception at hotel. Lots of walking and cycling all around. Quiet location.
