We'd been here before and left after one night. This time with friends who wanted to cycle here. But it was still a terrible place. Messy, not fresh and tidy. Less smoking and more hand waving! Showers weren't open (yes, I'd rather not shower in a cramped campervan shower). But we found an alternative in Winschoten; a beautiful campervan site there. So, we left again after one night.

Special experience; we arrive late afternoon with camper and ask if we can stay for 3 days. No; everything is "full". Toon was very unfriendly. However, the campsite was far from full. We then left for a camper place 15 km further. When we came back the next morning for a walk along Elbingerode, we looked at the campsite again: really not full! Dozens of empty spots. Never experienced anything like this.

Three stars for the location; 10 minutes walk from the city. Also nice that you can rent bikes at the camper place. However, we find the camper place quite expensive. The cleaning of the toilet building could be better. There is a schedule in which it is written when the last cleaning took place. It is being cheated because for three days a piece of toilet paper was lying in the same place on the floor next to the toilet.

friendly welcome at reception. sanitary facilities are cleaned well. No toilet seats on toilet bowl. No shade, I miss trees or shrubs. Everything tight with hedges. Road to beach very steep. Burgers in the restaurant are very good..

The most terrible camper spot we have ever stayed at. This camper place is dirty and very noisy because it is also used as a gathering place for young people who have car radios on and cross the parking lot. The water tap doesn't work; paid euros but no water. Unfortunately, the camper place and the campsite further on were full, so we had to spend the night here. It only became quieter halfway through the night.

Great campsite. Campsite is well organized. Toilets and showers are good. Music evenings are organized in the evenings. Glad dogs are welcome. In a previous reaction I read “many dogs not under roll call”. That's nonsense. Dogs on a leash everywhere on the campsite. (some children not under roll call; a lot of shouting and cycling around hard on bicycles or very hard on electric scooters). We enjoyed this beautiful campsite.

Despite its location next to a busy street (clearly audible during the day, not a problem at night), it is a quiet, small-scale campsite. Friendly welcome at the reception. Beautiful, spacious pitches with lots of shade. Being able to maneuver reasonably well on camping streets with an average-long motorhome. This becomes difficult with a very long camper. The municipal swimming pool was empty in August 2023. Toilets/showers: adequate

This parking lot is currently (August 2023) only accessible to passenger cars. There is a chain in front of the entrance so that you cannot enter it with campers.

beautiful camper place. Right next to dog playground; so nice for our dog. Very small place though; we were lucky that there was still 1 spot available.

Very unpleasant that there is heavy smoking in the reception area. That was the first letdown. The second was the poorly cleaned toilets. Third was the busy road right next to the motorhome. Clearly audible. No pin payments possible. Positive: choose a place yourself and a nice base to visit the province of Groningen. But we went to another place after 1 night. Smoking den !

clean, quiet motorhome. secured. Cleaning water, electricity and chemical toilet. 15 minutes walking distance from large supermarket.
