An old-fashioned campsite like the municipal ones (if they haven't already been taken over): no barrier, no computer, cash payment, and decent, old-fashioned, but clean, sanitary facilities, all on an island in the Aube. Beautifully situated campsite at the end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, so hardly any traffic. Small campsite (60 numbered pitches). Reservations are recommended; we were at number 60 with a beautiful view of the valley. Contrary to previous reports, the showers were clean. Besides hiking, excursions include the Schilthornbahn to Murren and the Trummelbach waterfalls.
