I agree with all the positive reviews below. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the delicious food. There's now a 500-liter tank at the campervan sites where you can tap water.
Sitecode: 99138
Great campsite, lovely spacious pitches, wonderfully peaceful. Check-in and check-out with a card is easy. Please note: the sanitary facilities are only open from June to September.

When we arrived here on Monday before 11:00 a.m., it was already full, and even after waiting for a while, no one showed any signs of leaving. We only planned to stay a few hours, so we parked at Lidl. It's even closer to the excavations and the cathedral... Aldi, a little further down, has an even larger parking lot. The parking lot looked good, but there was little to no shelter from the sun.

We give 4 stars for the quality and completeness of the facilities, in relation to the price. Trash cans are located in the adjacent "regular" parking lot. The site is poorly maintained. Weeds are rampant. A good starting point for visiting Pont St. Esprit, the long bridge over the Rhône. By bike or on foot. Beautiful location.

I agree with all the positive reviews. A very friendly welcome. You're less bothered by flies if you're further away from the meadow with sheep and donkeys. The highest terrace offers the least noise and the most beautiful view. Note: you can't discharge black or gray water there. The village of Plats, on the other side of the mountain, is accessible on foot, by bike, and by car. There's a bakery and a small supermarket.

Beautiful campervan site, large, flat pitches, some partially paved, others entirely grass. Quiet. Supermarket in the village, a 10-minute walk. The restaurant that Google Maps indicated was there is permanently closed.

The CP is nestled between an industrial area and a nature reserve. There are lovely hiking opportunities. The location isn't beautiful, nor are the views, but it's convenient for those planning to take the boat the next day. Within a fifteen-minute bike ride (uphill) are two large supermarkets and several restaurants. Both nights we stayed, ten campers stayed here, and there's plenty of room for them.

Large campsite, good facilities, spacious pitches. Most pitches are on a large field, rather dull, but there are a few very nice pitches near the water or with a view of the water.

I agree with all the positive reviews. There is some noise from the road and from two jet skis that have their "home base" at the campsite. Looking at the reviews, the price has fluctuated quite a bit since 2020. According to Campercontact, it's now NOK 250. The receptionist initially mentioned NOK 500, but when she saw our surprised looks, she changed it to NOK 400. Strange.

To discharge gray water: Open the valve marked "A" and then pull the container forward. The container is indeed too high, but by tilting it slightly, I managed to get it under the drain. I'd never seen a system like this before; it was fun to experience! Not very practical, it deserves a 2 at best, but out of appreciation for the pump attendant who offers this for free, I'm giving it a 3.

The small parking lot, where campers are allowed, is closer to the T-station than the large parking lot. It's therefore understandable that many cars park in the small lot. It's unclear, however, why there would only be room for ten campers. In the three days we were here, there were, besides

Great service location, easy to find. Downside: There's only one faucet with a hose, so you don't know what it's been used for. So bring your own hose.
Sitecode: 156432
Quite a messy collection of mobile homes and wooden houses, where you can find a spot with your camper. Sanitary facilities are okay, showers are great. But you come here for the view over the water. We kept looking at it; wonderfully beautiful.
Sitecode: 70755
Totally agree with HympieCat: What a great service place! To empty the toilet cassette, open the middle of the three lids. There is nothing wrong with that, as suggested below: That is how it is meant to be in this place.

Very nice place. Nice hiking possibilities, map with hiking trails for sale at the Spar in Tresfjord. Beautiful rapids.
Sitecode: 28859
Everything that has already been described is correct: The fjord is beautiful. The campsite is far too full, the reception is friendly and helpful, the sanitary facilities are fine. Now we pay 440 NOK for a camper + 2 people + electricity. Far too expensive for what is offered. When a cruise ship docks, the passengers spread out like a plague of locusts over the small town. The smell of the exhaust fumes. Tomorrow a boat trip on the fjord and then quickly get away from here ...

Nice place, but close to road 61 (20 meters). Due to height difference extra sound transmission. Quiet at night. You can also park 200 meters further along the same access road, parking lot for cars, near the garbage bins. Less nice view but less traffic noise
Sitecode: 161493
We were there from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd June, the CP was not even half full during those days. No facilities, not even a garbage bin. Less than a 5 minute walk from the tram stop, you are in the center in no time. You can pay for the CP with Easypark.

Take a look at the rapids with salmon ladder 100 meters further upstream! Behind the green house is a dry toilet. That is rightly not mentioned in the description by Campercontact: Too dirty for words.
Sitecode: 102544
Quiet place, but is a bit wedged between the rock walls. Little sun and light. We drove on to CP Galdane, code 55692, 1 km further. On the historical route. Very beautiful. Keep a good distance from the rock wall, before you know it your awning is off.
Sitecode: 68758
Indeed: Everything is quite outdated, but the spacious camper spots are fine and the sanitary facilities are clean. The campsite is located on the land side of the road, so the view from the campsite is not much. It is beautiful when you cross the road, so from the ferry square. You can eat simple but tasty food in the restaurant, not expensive by Norwegian standards, up to 210 NOK. You discharge grey water into a drain at the exit of the campsite.

When approaching Jondal from the south, Google Maps wants you to turn left, a very sharp bend, into Gamle Saetveitvegen. Don't do it. After 100 meters it is very steep, much too narrow and also forbidden for cars. Drive on until you are almost at sea level. Immediately after the sign that says you have to turn left for the ferry, turn sharply left, almost a U-turn. Road is also called Gamle Saetveitvegen, is the other side. Then you are there.
Sitecode: 65665
When you arrive, pay attention to the 'Information' on the left hand side at the payment machine. You will not only receive a ticket for under the windshield, but also a receipt and the codes for wifi and access to the sanitary facilities are on it. Wifi is weak, sanitary facilities are great: spacious, clean
Sitecode: 77339
The electricity (and water) supply is not working, but this only becomes apparent after you have paid (€3.75 for 12 hours).
Sitecode: 4622
Great parking spot to visit the old city center. After that visit we fled the place because of the mosquitoes.
Sitecode: 22836
Agree with the comments below. Very nice hospitable people. No luxury, but great atmosphere in a beautiful environment Follow the route described in the review of 24-06-22. We did not do that, followed the tomtom and ended up on a very steep, narrow road with sharp hairpin bends. Just went with our camper of 7.40 m, but does not deserve a recommendation.
Sitecode: 4701
Drinking water tap is on the same column as the chemical toilet unloading point and is also used (unnecessarily) to rinse the cassette. Not usable for loading drinking water. You pay at the waterfall ticket office. If you pay between 16:00 and 17:00 and say that you are leaving the next morning, you will receive a new exit ticket, with which you can leave up to 24 hours after the time printed on the new ticket.
Sitecode: 52712
The price information is incorrect. ACSI is valid here, but only until October 5 (2024). Until that date you pay €27 per night for a camper place plus 2 people. After that it is €33.80. But you also pay an environmental contribution: €2.80 per person per night! And then €3 per night local taxes.
Sitecode: 4667
More than a year after the last review, nothing has improved in the facilities. But what a beautiful place ... Very quiet, and with the (free) elevator you are in the old center in no time.
Sitecode: 4634
Helpful English speaking staff during the day. Good facilities, but traffic noise from adjacent road. The Tuesday market (see review 15-4-2024) is on the adjacent parking lot. You can use the camper pitches on Tuesdays.
Sitecode: 5795
A few years ago we were on a spot between the hedges. It's okay, but cramped. Now we chose a spot in the open field. Sea of space. No shade. Electricity is here too. Sanitary facilities are very outdated, but adequate. In good proportion to what you pay here.
Sitecode: 92246
Agree with all the positive ratings. Keep in mind that if you leave the A2 at Amsteg (exit 38), you still have to drive about 6 kilometers on the sometimes narrow, sometimes steep Gotthardstrasse before you reach the CP. Reasonably doable, but the road also serves as a shortcut to avoid the traffic jam for the tunnel. Other road users are sometimes impatient ... Euros are also accepted, as long as it is cash.
Sitecode: 13650
Great place for transit or a city visit. Arrived on Sunday at 5 p.m., plenty of space, even for larger campers, even later in the evening. We were on the west side of the long parking lot, near the large intersection. Lots of traffic noise there. Further to the east you are quieter and (even) closer to the center and Notre Dame.
Sitecode: 92741
Large campsite, there are a few nice places with a view of the Loire, but not many. The sanitary facilities are simple and commensurate with the price you pay. Clean, full hot shower jet. Please note: From the end of August, the reception will be closed from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and the barrier will also be closed.
Sitecode: 67985
Indeed a beautiful, shady spot on the Loire. Payment was no problem, just be patient. Bakery, butcher and bus stops 12 minutes walk.
Sitecode: 28843
Clean sanitary facilities, also in recent days. Somewhat few toilets and showers for the number of camping pitches.. For taking in water and discharging gray water, € 6.40 must be paid, on top of the standard rate. Otherwise a great campsite.
Sitecode: 42317
A lovely place. The 'emergency solution' is a crane at a height of 15 cm. Inconvenient, but it has a screw thread to which you can connect your hose with a 25 mm tap piece We stood at the sign 'Baignade interdite'. That's where the village youth came to swim in the evening. That was a bit restless, but not annoying.
Sitecode: 57439
Atmospheric transit campsite. Grounds poorly maintained, long grass, wells. Sanitary facilities outdated and dirty. After a few days of rain, parts are not suitable for campers, but they are allowed without restriction. Too expensive for what is offered. Still stayed 2 nights because you can cycle so beautifully along the Moselle.
Sitecode: 21178
A caterer is located around the corner (1 minute walk), where you can get different meals from a vending machine 24 hours a day. From € 11 per piece. (We have not tried.)
Sitecode: 72543
Well maintained beautiful campsite in a very green environment. Good walking opportunities, routes available at reception. Nice restaurant, not very good but not expensive either.
Sitecode: 26357
Clean spacious cp. Nice park opposite the cp. Payment machine was not working properly on departure. Keep trying, after 10 minutes the barrier opened.
Sitecode: 59008
Park on arrival and register at the reception on the country side of the road (N340). If you enter the camping part on the sea side without being notified, you will be stranded on the barrier and block the passage. The beach is little; only at low tide some pieces of sand between the rocks, difficult to reach.
Sitecode: 9274
Nice staff, too small places, too few toilets and showers, but clean, beautiful sunset. You discharge gray water under a heavy lid where another motor home has just emptied his toilet cassette.
