This campsite is a real gem. Beautifully situated next to the town of Chalaronne, close to a supermarket and many restaurants within walking distance. There are no campervan facilities. The sanitary facilities are old and could use some updating. The toilets (fortunately there are also a few toilets) are outdated in our experience. But everything is clean. The pitches are spacious, with both shade and sun. Recommended for a stopover or a few days' stay. The town is well worth a visit.

Beautifully situated small campsite. Perfect for a multi-day stay or as a stopover. A village with amenities within walking distance, including nice restaurants and an Intermarche. Showers are fine without tokens, but the sinks only have cold water. And bring your own toilet paper. That's outdated, isn't it?

A beautifully landscaped small campervan site with power. Unfortunately, the campsite was closed all weekend until Monday due to the "pig's trotters fair." How did you come up with that name? No alternative was offered when we were told, but a friendly man pointed us to a nearby campsite where a lot of French people were now. We drove on to Val d'Ajol, a lovely little campsite a little further south.

Great campsite. We have been coming here for years. Lovely natural swimming pool and opposite the campsite is a large swimming lake. The food is of good quality. The campsite is not the cheapest but on the other hand the sauna and whirlpool are free.

Quiet place. As the website indicates, it is better to drive via Schonach im Schwarzwald. Sanitary column was broken but still just pay €20. And nowhere a waste hole for grey water. Otherwise OK and great food in the restaurant. Also bread service.

The 5 stars are more than worth it! Spacious pitches around a beautifully landscaped pond where you can see the swallows diving to scoop some water. The sanitary facilities are very clean and beautiful. Small towels at the sinks. Also a great system to pay for use via QR. Everything based on trust. When all the plants are fully grown, it can only get more beautiful. This also applies to the pond. We will definitely come back.

Very quietly situated in green surroundings.

Great camper place. Lovely and quiet. The places are a bit slanted. Electricity with coins according to use. Emptying the cassette is a bit primitive but sufficient. Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed from mid-December to 5 March due to a company holiday. It is unknown whether this is always the case. Their website does not mention this. Too bad!

Info is incorrect. CP will only open from March 25th to October 31st. Price has also been increased to €16.00 without and €20.00 with water and electricity. See further info on their website.

It may also have been due to the rainy weather, but the "campsite" made a bleak impression. Mostly chalets and fewer camping pitches that were especially inaccessible for a camper. The grass was extremely marshy. Also no waste disposal and water intake place seen. The road surface really needs maintenance. Early in the morning there is the sound of thundering trucks on the nearby road. One star more for sanitary facilities.

Great quiet place. Idyllically laid out. Sanitary facilities are not much in a wooden building. We were here on January 24 and it was quite full. Unfortunately there are also campers who occupy a spot next to them with their chairs and tables. Jose. by the way a very nice man, should say something about this. We drank a glass of wine in the afternoon and Jose spontaneously gave us a few pieces of bread with delicious ham.

Great camper place on the north side of Cartagena. Equipped with all amenities. Sanitary facilities simple but very clean. Spacious places. Smaller ones cost €12 and the large ones (86 m2) €18 incl electricity. And what a friendly welcome by the owners. And a great explanation of what is where in Cartena. Within walking distance (200 m) a very cheap supermarket. CP is very worthwhile.

No experience on the campsite itself. But still a bad rating. We wanted to reserve a few days. Called 8 times, no answer. Emailed 8 times, no answer. Indecent!!

A fine CP. Requires a bit of steering to drive in. But we managed it just fine (> 7m). On the other side of the road a good sanistation for discharging grey water and cassette. Also filling up with free drinking water was now, mid-January, still possible. Pizzeria closed on Wednesdays. The previous review mentioned 2 toilets with washbasins......these are not at the CP. This CP does require you to be self-sufficient.

Great and quiet place. Now in mid-January unfortunately no more filled fridge. Will also have to do with the outside temperature (-3 to 3 °C). And as previously reported no facilities in the winter months.

Nice campsite with large and smaller pitches. The terrain slopes down, which means that blocks are needed. Cosy terrace and a huge swimming pool of 30 m! Only a lot of trouble with small ants. You really have to take measures (spraying / spreading) otherwise they will take over your entire camper / caravan. Too bad, but the campsite can't do anything about that. Beautiful cycle paths, the so-called vies verdes. Nice beaches nearby.

We were on the outside and there was no electricity or water. Not a problem for us because we are self-sufficient. Due to the lack of these facilities we paid € 10. We had the impression that the installation of electricity and water was still in the planning. Very nice owner. Very nice place. Due to the size of the places it was not clear whether it was intended for one or two campers.

Great campsite. Spotless sanitary facilities and spacious showers (without coins). Beautifully situated. Some pitches are too short for longer campers (+ 7 metres) or not/poorly accessible. Funny that you can rent an electric Citroën Ami for only €45 per day. Very friendly welcome by English speaking lady. With ACSI we paid €24.10 for 1 night.

We endorse the reviews below. Excellent affordable wines. And indeed close to your neighbor. This becomes even worse during the wine festivals. The number of campers on weekends easily exceeds 60 to 70. So the 30 in the information is relative. Sanitary facilities are completely inadequate. Only 1 men's and 1 women's toilet. And very illogically, the showers have been placed in the toilet room.

Been to this CP before. Still wonderfully quiet. The restaurant in the Wasserburg tower recently closed permanently.

Spacious CP and within walking distance (a tough climb) of the old center. Places on the river side have electricity, but you need to find the connection. We were alone on December 22. € 6.00 (without electricity) put in an envelope in the mailbox.

December 18. Campsite completely deserted. All sanitary (showers and toilets) closed. Only option to empty cassette. No owner / manager seen or phone could get hold of and no facility to leave money. Incidentally, we did not think it was worth € 20.00, given the state of the buildings.

We can confirm all positive reviews. Super CP and the card system works perfectly. Clean water also goes through the card (€ 1.00 / 100 l), but if you fill up with less water, you can transfer the remaining amount back to your card. Christmas market was no longer worthy of Celle.

The latest update is incorrect. We were here on December 23 and could just stand on the place intended for campers, which are actually much too small. Day ticket € 2.00 for 24 hours. Inquiries in the café showed that the camper pitches were intact and that it was possible to spend the night there. Public toilet in the parking lot and no other facilities. Castle is a must and a tour is a must.

We have been coming here a number of times. Great quiet place. Were there again on Saturday 12 February and had a delicious meal. Turned out to be a limited card. And above all: the restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings. So closed for the rest of the week and it would remain that way, according to the owner. Cause: unable to get staff.

This review is a rectification of our earlier review of 9 December 2020. The CP was erroneously and incorrectly rated with 1 *. We have requested Campercontact to remove the review, which has since happened. When we visited the CP on 9-12 it was still closed and a lot of manpower was worked to be able to open in time. Even then the CP looked excellent. We wish the owners good luck and maybe see you soon!

Nice mini camping. The heated building with excellent sanitary facilities and meeting space is definitely an advantage. At the time we were there (9 Dec) they were busy expanding the camper pitches. Undoubtedly in the spring a very nice starting point for cycling tours through the fascinating fruit trees.

Without a doubt a very good CP with all sanitary facilities. "Thanks to" Corona the meeting room was not occupied, but otherwise this is certainly a plus to meet others.

Very nicely located motorhome at hotel / restaurant where you can eat uncle good food at reasonable prices. Facilities must be paid for separately. Owners advise to drive via Schonach. This route is easier and less steep / narrow.

Very nicely landscaped CP opposite swimming pool and close to the old center of Herrenberg. The rate of € 5 for a day ticket is a very decent price as this CP is equipped with all conveniences, water and intake and electricity for the price of € 1 for 6 hours. One tip for the municipality: provide the pitches with concrete grass tiles. Now it was very soggy and I had to put my front wheels on the asphalt.

Camping is very nicely situated in a flood area. We were here at the end of December and were the only camper. Very friendly owner. The plumbing that was open is very neat. During a lot of rain it is very soggy but the 4 CP places are paved. The only minus point is that it is very difficult to get away from the place with the camper.

Great place to stay. Wide view over the hills. beautiful old village with some hospitality. Sani column with 2 power points, but power is exceptionally expensive. 55 minutes for 1 token = € 2.50. This free CP may become a paid place in the near future. When we were there, Sept. 21, they were almost done with a payment column.

Fantastic location between the mountains with beautiful views. Spacious pitches and very camper accessible. Swimming pool with terrace and restaurant / snack bar. Meals can also be collected. Very friendly reception. We were here at the end of September and there were still a lot of guests. As with many campsites at the end of September, the swimming pool was closed.
