After a long journey involving quite a bit of traffic, I found a nice little campsite with a very old, friendly manager who spoke good Dutch because he had learned Afrikaans at some point. Very hospitable, and everything is done in a wonderfully quaint way. No PC, no card payment, but slips of paper on which you have to write your contact details. No cash right now? Oh well, just tuck it behind the 'Welcome' sign later. It is truly beautiful how much trust in people still exists here.

Nicely laid-out campsite, but very busy. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The pitches are a bit small and have trees where resin constantly falls down, so wrap your camper well in plastic.

What a beautiful campsite! We received a warm welcome and the food was exquisite. Highly recommended! A tip: follow the suggested route. With a 7.5-meter camper, it is quite difficult to follow Google Maps. 😉

Great campsite. We stayed one night. Beautiful waterfront location, close to the city center. Visiting the Olympic Museum is highly recommended. Outside, you'll see the history of Norwegian houses, and inside, you'll learn all about the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer. The ski jumps are also worth a visit.

Great for one night. €25 cash only. The owner is friendly. The bathroom is from Ben-Hur times 😉 (shower curtain, windows, so no privacy). You pay an extra €1 for a shower via a coin-operated machine. There are two sinks, one of which only has hot water.
