Was a brilliant facility BUT as of today it is a disgrace. Occupied by Irish Travellers, with generators running, rubbish around most of the campervans. Even a trailer tent pitched beside a camper. Left as fast as we could. Another couple arrived just after us and were horrified at the condition it has dropped to. Local council that invested well should enforce the regulations that are on display.

Super site. Stayed here at the end of June having booked two weeks previously, variety of pitch sizes so we were easily accommodated. Facilities excellent, clean and modern. Owner very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Beautiful beach just across the road. Would be superb for a family.

All one could ask for in a Motorhome Park, secure, clean and with electricity and water at each large pitch. Beside village with shop, bar and restaurant. Probably on the expensive side compared to Portumna or Fethard but I heard there are additional services proposed.

Visited this facility today hoping to empty my black water tank. The black water receptacle was completely blocked rendering it useless. What is the point in a local authority initally providing a worthwhile facility and then not maintaining it...doesn't add up. Absolutely brilliant that Donegal Co Council had the foresight to install it originally but sadly the initiative was lost somewhere.

Price for overnight is now โฌ15. Probably overpriced a little.

Very well maintained site. This is much more than a stopover motorhome park as it has all the facilities of a standard camping/caravan park. It's about a 15 min walk to the old N3 where there is an excellent bus service to Dublin. Great place for a short break.

Great place, I for one would like to remind the complainers that for NOTHING they get overnight parking, fresh water fill-up, dump grey water and dispose of black water. We stayed here on 26/8/2021, three other campers were here as well. We did not notice noise to any great extent and the playground finished about 8.45 to 9.00. I only wish 20% of Irish towns had motorhome facilities like those offered in Askeaton for say โฌ10.00 per night.

Called here casually on 27 August 2021, not accepting campervans 'due to Covid'. It is down a narrow road so a sign on the main road would have been helpful. But as I didn't ring ahead partly my fault so it gets a 2.

Fine for an overnight stop. We were here on 19/5/2021. Spaces are marked for cars so by parking on the end spaces blocking up the adjacent space can be avoided. On the plus side the local bar provides an very good take away service. The Waterways Ireland card gains access to showers etc

Excellent Aire. We were here for the third time for two nights, 17 & 18 May 2021. It only gets better. Very well maintained and scrupulously clean. Spaces are clearly marked and spacious for all but the largest of campervans. Initially I was a little disappointed that there were no waste bins but discovered that evening that the caretaker calls twice a day to each campervan and collects the rubbish and so avoids โvisitorsโ abusing the facilities.

Dropped by on 19/5/21. Disappointed, there is very little happening in this village or at least we could find nothing. Parking spaces are car size only and sloping towards the lake. Didn't feel comfortable so moved on.

Sorry folks but this site has closed.

Beautiful quiet location, we stayed on a Thursday night one other camper there as well. I imagine it could be busy over the weekend. There are three permanent BBQs and three picnic benches.

Nice and quiet, great walks and very pleasant and peaceful. However beware of satnav directions if coming from New Ross but a local lady was very helpful, also told us about awkward Dutchman living locally who puts nasty little notices on campervan windscreens, she said to ignore him and everyone else welcomes campervans.

Nice quiet place in the evening. According to the sign overnight parking is not permitted ON THE BEACH.
