Stayed here for one night on our way south; friendly and helpful manager; somewhat dated bathroom facilities, but very clean. The city center is within walking distance. Excellent overnight accommodation provided by the Camping and Caravanning Club.

On our way through the Dales, we chose this campsite through CamperContact. The access road was very steep and narrow; upon arrival, there was no reception or way to contact us. There was a notice on the gate: "by appointment only"; unfortunately, this wasn't mentioned anywhere. Turning around on this path at 7.50 meters is painstaking.
