Nice campsite, with a lot of attention to greenery and excellent sanitary facilities. Beautiful city of Dresden and the Elbe Cycle Path are easily accessible by bike.

Neat camper pitch located on a quiet road. With the option to use the modern and clean sanitary facilities of the opposite campsite for a fee. Kassel is accessible by bicycle.

Fine (for us) transit campsite, spacious pitches, within cycling distance of Venlo, nice museums there, good showers, just a few extra toilets, and at least a urinal, would help to improve the ‘flow’. And, though that may have been a one-off, one / the toilet paper dispenser didn't work….

Passing through, one night. A warm welcome. Unfortunately, it was raining when we were there, but parking is available on gravel. The surroundings are beautiful, and the restrooms are new and clean.

Beautiful spot, right on the water. No shower, but a well-maintained restroom. Shops within walking distance. Donation box at the front of the restroom building.

Excellent campsite. Warm welcome. Sufficient, modern, and clean sanitary facilities. We stayed on the pitch with panoramic views. Hiking opportunities from the campsite. Good base for visiting the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

September 2025 The campsite is beautifully situated. Lovely pitches with sea views. Hiking trails along the coast. We spotted dolphins from the campsite, and food is available at the adjacent pub. The sanitary facilities are outdated, but clean.

For us the second time at El Merino. Three nights this time. And everything was great again! There is not much to add to the previous ***** reviews. Beautiful campsite in the Sierra de Gata, quietly situated in a beautiful landscape. Excellent sanitary facilities, a swimming pool and sufficient shade when the sun shines. An old municipal (transferred to a large market party?), simple, dated sanitary facilities but in good condition. Good price/quality ratio. Shower (free!) nice and warm quickly! Be careful with the lighting there. It is advisable to press the lighting switch (timer switch), immediately next to the door, again just before showering, otherwise you may find yourself in the dark while showering. Bring a headlamp?

looks good! but make sure you have some coins. there is no power when you connect the cable. the electricity must be paid in advance at €0.50 per kWh. Payment is (unfortunately) not possible with a payment card

According to the woman who runs the campsite (careful indeed!), it is not allowed to use a petrol burner outside in Greece, and therefore also at her campsite. A nonsense ban! Petrol burners were for sale at the first outdoor shop in Athens. With CE mark. I can still imagine it for extremely dry situations, but it was quite humid in Greece in April....
