The campsite has a beautiful view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are modern. The access road to the pitches is partly very steep and extremely narrow. The campsite itself is very cramped and more reminiscent of a World Cup campervan site. With a 7.5-meter motorhome, you should be quite experienced. I had to reverse into my pitch and only had about 10 cm of space on the right to get past the parked vehicle. On the left, I grazed the hedge. I won't be coming back.

The campsite is ideal for exploring Salzburg. The tourist tax includes a free bus ticket, valid throughout the Salzburg region. Many pitches are quite long but not very wide (approximately 5-6 meters). This can mean that a large motorhome is parked next to you, making you feel quite cramped. The restaurant with its beer garden is great. The sanitary facilities are in need of renovation.

Perfect for a free overnight stay. Public restrooms are available. Water and waste disposal facilities are also provided. The charming old town is about a five-minute walk away. I didn't check the electricity supply as I was self-sufficient for the night.

Greywater disposal was possible (November 8, 2025). However, cassette toilet emptying is not possible during the autumn/winter months. A sign indicated that disposal would be available again from March. Furthermore, it appears that this service is only available by appointment, Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
