Although Campercontact says this C&CC campsite is closed, it has actually been open since March. It is a beautiful, clean site and very popular: definitely full on weekends. There are walking and cycling opportunities, and fishing is possible. We paid £37 per night as C&CC members, so we received a £17 discount. Highly recommended!

We have since become members of the UK Camping and Caravanning Club for £55 per year. On this site, this saved us about £17 per night. For a hard pitch with electricity, we paid £37 per night for a camper and 2 people. For this, you get 16A power, clean facilities, and large shower rooms. You can still get into town quickly by bus. You can also have breakfast and coffee there.

This campsite is no longer a member of the Caravan and Camping Club. The showers are too cramped and grey water cannot be emptied. Washing dishes must be done outside. However, the location is ideal for visiting the old town centre by bus. We paid £30 cash per night.

Friendly welcome with clean facilities. Located right next to the A1 heading north. Convenient for visiting Beamish Open Museum, Newcastle (think of the series Vera), and Durham. We paid £36.70 per night after a £15 discount upon showing the ANWB key card.

As the last camper of the season we were in a beautiful quiet place with rain, sun and strong wind. Only 45 minutes walk, including the ferry, from Langweer, where we had a delicious meal. Reasonable price, somewhat outdated sanitary facilities, but hot water and we were warmly welcomed. The bag shop is very worthwhile.

We were received nicely by a nice lady. Unfortunately full, but the next day we could come back. We did. However, we were now received by a young man, who demanded our passports. Since we do not need passports in Europe, we did not have them with us. Driver's licenses are recognized identity documents. Unfortunately, the young man could not be convinced. We could go. There went our 2 reserved nights in Luxembourg. Strange situation!

Extensive campsite with hard and grass pitches with and without electricity. Clean facilities. Nice starting point for walks. You can walk to West or East Runton, close to the beach, in about 30 minutes. Price per night was GBP 51, but after showing the ANWB camping key card, the price went back to GBP 41 per night, including electricity.

The UK caravan club recently took over this site and the name has now been changed to the Nottingham club site. Open from June 3, 2024, this site has beautiful and clean large showers and other facilities. The bus takes you to the center of Nottingham in 25 minutes. When we showed our membership of NKC and our age was over 65, the costs per night dropped from £38 to £28 per night including electricity.
