Nice parking spot, but camping is prohibited!

Friendly welcome, very large pitches and nice swimming pool. However, far too few toilets per toilet building (queue for the toilets!), no camping shop (only in high season a stall with some groceries but that is not enough, here too a queue) and because the camping is very remote, a shuttle service to the station would be a nice service.

+ Very large and beautiful grazing areas. + Nice swimming pool. + Extremely friendly reception. - Too few toilets per toilet building (3 men's and 3 women's toilets). There are no urinals for the men's, so the toilets are dirty. - Remote. The nearest train station is 15 minutes by car or 45 minutes by bike. - No camping shop, but a stall with bread and a few foodstuffs, but that is not sufficient. No supermarket nearby.

Excellent city campsite run by the municipality. Large field for tents and behind it about 50 camper/caravan sites in a row. From the campsite it is a 30-minute walk/10-minute cycle to the center of Bern. Public transport is also fine, you get a free public transport card from the campsite. Going into the river at the campsite in your swimming trunks and letting yourself float along is great! (Clothes in a waterproof bag that you also use as a floating buoy, 'get out' at the Marzili pool, all of Bern does it!)

Wonderful campsite. Doable at the end of June on spec, you can choose a nice spot yourself (9 euros extra for a spot right on the water). No rental accommodations and only about five regular guests. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Sanitary facilities dated but fine and clean. Several beautiful hiking trails start close to the campsite. You can swim in the lake itself. Fresh bread in the shop at reception.

We are here now (June 2023). Unfortunately, the campsite has to close because the land has been bought, but it is still open this summer (half the number of pitches and half the sanitary facilities). Large campers cannot go on it (narrow road, sharp bend). Furthermore, it is a magnificent location right on Lake Lucerne. Lovely swimming. Lucerne about 7 km away. Price around 50 Swiss Franc depending on where you are.
