Here for two nights 26-28 May 2023. very clean toilet block. fabulous showers- adjustable temperature, no silly button to press every few seconds and excellent water pressure. Lovely pool. Great shady off lead dog walks just outside campsite-a very long shady lane that goes in both directions and a large field next to the river. reception very pleasant and helpful. Buildings all a bit scruffy but not bothered by that. definitely recommend.

uninspiring. below restaurant. very near large industrial facility. top of St Gotthard pass - free, stunning views and lots if possible spaces a much better option.

Now open. drive over drain. fresh water and toilet emptying. good facility.

Here 14/9/22. Excellent place to overnight BUT it is several hundred metres (down a steep and narrow road) from the start of the walk to Aysgarth falls. There is a National Parks car park there which is much cheaper (£3 up to 2 hours; £5 all day) which has a cafe, shop and toilets that is a better place to park to do the walk, but no overnight allowed. Both the short walks to see all three falls, and the longer 3 miles circular walk are lovely.

Here April 2021 and info confirmed by telcon with the Council May 2021. There is now a ban on overnight parking in all car parks in Ceredigion. Parking is allowed during the day. Very odd charging - £6.50 for 24 hours, despite the fact that you cannot park (and occupy the vehicle) overnight. However it is a great place for daytime parking with a few spaces reserved for “caravans”.

I think this is the same place as the one further north which I have reviewed.

Here in October 2020. You ring the number on the notice board (the golf club) and are given the number for the combination lock on the gate (next to the car entrance which has a height barrier). you then pay at the pro shop at the golf club as you leave. No beach views from the large parking area but great location a few yards from huge beach.

Here end of Sept 2020. Lovely. Four spaces reserved for “caravans!” at the start of the prom, plenty of other spaces at the far end. Prom is between the beach and the marina. The town is lovely with interesting castle ruins and coastal walks in both directions. Wish we could have spent several nights here.

Three spaces (close together) provided by enterprising owner of ice cream (delicious!) and gift shop. To book , text her on 07791 401914. NB We had no mobile signal at the harbour and had to climb up a hill! There is ehu and non-drinking water but no black waste emptying. Public toilets are adjacent. Beautiful place. Lovely coastal walks in both directions. No overnight allowed on public car park (free); no signs restricting parking on quay.

Here mid Sept 2020. only small car park remains amid big redevelopment. Could barely drive round. Don’t know what signs say about overnight stays.

Lovely site - great views from all pitches. Quiet despite being very close to the A66. Run by very welcoming and friendly family. Each pitch is hardstanding and has ehu, water and grey hook up. Spotless new toilet/shower blocks. Fabulous walks both short and long from site. Best site in the Northern Lakes. Also great stopover whilst heading north or south on M6 - only 12 miles on (mainly) dual carriageway.

Here june 19. If these spaces are full there is a large car park before you reach this aire. May be subject to local restrictions but no signs barring mhs. Grey and black emptying is free but no free rinsing water. €5 for 1hr ehu or water. Not used. Huge beach 100m over dunes. No dog restrictions.

Here June 19. Lots of spaces. Not designated. Pay and display cash or card. €5 for 24 hours. Village is gorgeous.

Here 19/6/19. In village centre. Amazing tiny church inside oldest oak tree in France. Services ok. No designated spaces but can't imagine it would ever be busy.

Here 15/6/19. Adjacent large grassy space with defunct crazy golf and boules courts. Lovely walk behind sports centre to Menhir - 15 mins along grassy paths - not shown on plan at entrance to Aire which is not accurate - you are not where they say you are!! Lots of walking possibilities. Handy for Carnac (though free parking for MHs available there).

Here 15/6/19. Free during day. 500m walk. Into old town down main road - or longer nicer walk along old railway line (head away from the main road to start). Town plan available from TI in centre of town *before you reach the "closed town". Plans OK but not detailed enough of "closed town". Good rampart walk half way round. Can get tiny ferry across to far side of river- €1 ! Huge market Friday morning opp drawbridge. Services worked fine. Lots of toilets in town.

Here briefly 12/6/19. Uninspiring. Services really grotty with only one tap. No decent dog walks. Aire at Hospital Camfrout much nicer.

Here 1/6/19. Nicely designed Aire with space for 6 MHs. But another large car park adjacent with no restrictions or barrier. Services don't work - no water at all. Also found toilets hidden away but again no water. Next to small fishing lake and bike park and skateboard park. Beyond basketball pitch is a walk next to fields that seems endless. Great for dogs. Handy place to overnight before or after visiting Brest.

Here 10/6/19. Lovely! Beautiful huge sandy beach/estuary 50m away in one direction and main beach 100m away across road. Can walk round peninsular from one to the other. Stunning! Toilet at end of peninsular. Some views over dunes from MH windows or if you are very tall (!) if you get the end pitch (furthest in). Only two mhs here overnight.

Here 9/6/19. Uninteresting Aire. 10 places marked out. Closed sign put up when full. EHU works from 7pm till noon when you must leave. Money collected by very grumpy woman at 7pm. €10 including EHU. €2 for water outside Aire. Free grey and black. Fabulous coastal scenery 100m away beyond campsite. Beach car park has height barrier. Municipal campsite is only €17 incl ehu, (and water and showers, I assume). Some of those pitches have fantastic views (but may cost more) - maybe worth paying a bit extra and staying there if sea view pitches are available.

Here 7/6/19. Five bays in sheltered spot plus unrestricted parking - fab views (across to Cherbourg peninsular??) from cliff top. We started off on cliff top but as Storm Miguel hit we moved to the sheltered area but were still rocking!! Lovely walk 500m down to Harbour at Brehec en Plouha where there are toilets and TI. Beach has lovely red pebbles. THere's another area for free unrestricted parking further north about 1 km but views maybe not so good.

Lovely free spot with large grassy area adjacent for dogs to romp. Services OK. no free water to rinse loo. TI in village 200m, toilet, church, boulangerie. Cap Frehel nearby - parking €5 day only. Lighthouse open but only after 2pm. Fort La Latte well worth visit. €6.50 each, free parking for MHs at entrance (day only). Free day parking at lovely Pleherel Plage (toilets) - fab pink pebbles and views up to lighthouse.

OK free services. Very pleasant shady walk (2 km) along river (go past swimming pool) to old port then up steep hill to Dinan, a "must see" old town with amazing ice cream shop!! You can walk back along the other side but its a bit further as you need to cross the bridge at Lehon.

Walked past here having parked further south at free Aire at tennis club at Lehon. Unintelligible parking machine! Lots of frustrated drivers. Lovely location next to lovely old town - steep hill up.

Grass - beware if wet! Village very pretty wth harbour and beach - good plan from TI in centre.

Ok for overnight. Nicer than the other one just further north. Picnic tables. Beach 100m away - signs say toilets but there aren't any. No dogs on beach (April - Oct??).

Here 2/6/19. ACSI but paid €2 more to get sea view - well worth it. Toilets and showers OK but no loo paper or soap. Fab walks along stunning beaches. Dogs banned on beach to north 10am to 8pm 15/6 to 15/9. 1hr walk west round peninsular. 90 min walk in other direction around headland to another beach - note there is a track making a circular walk which isn't shown on the plan handed out by reception. Note - nudists at far end of nearest beach!!

Only one ehu already in use. No wc. Limited interesting walking in the area. Football pitches adjacent. Useful for quiet stopover. Free services. Only 1 tap - not ideal, but another tap 20m away which we used for fresh water - too far to connect hose (bollards in the way).

Here 1/6/19. Fabulous spot. Room for 40 or so MHs. Best views from sea side but lay-by shady and more sheltered from passing traffic. Lots of motorhomes during day, fewer overnight. Lovely 10 min walk below road eastwards to custom house where there's a small car park (too small for anything bigger than small camper vans) and toilet and hotel/shop selling amazing range of postcards! Walk in other direction to beach - 20 mins.

Designated spaces next to picnic area and shade in big car park. Info board shows walks to waterfalls - very pretty sign but unintelligible!! Lovely walk but very poorly signed. Decent toilet and services. Village is not very interesting.

Not sure coordinates are correct - they took us to a private farm about 500m away further west! The correct place is near centre of village. Very quiet, free services including two ehu. Ideal overnight stop.

OK for overnight. Acceptable toilets 100m away down hill. See my review on the other Aire in the town.

Small area. Nice self cleaning toilet, good views. Strange little town, some nice old timber framed buildings and interesting church but all a bit run down with lots of empty properties. There's even a charity shop!! Good leaflet with town walk from TI. There's another car park that MHs can overnight in over the viaduct.

The pitches outside the former site have better views of the lake. No services. Very grotty toilets on far side of lake. Disused crazy golf course. Swimming area - grass and sand on far side of lake. No dog restriction signs anywhere - nice place for humans and dogs to swim.

Here 25/5/19. Signs say 5 vans but room for more. Nice little park adjacent. Fantastic miniature railway in village. Church has interesting sundial (toilets adjacent). Views up to Sugar loaf - road up (D133 - poorly signed) is OK for motorhomes. Great views from both parking areas. Paragliding lessons available! Lots of free parking(and cafe and toilets at the Roche D'Oetre further south.

Here 18/6/19. I don't understand the "Pass Etapes" scheme! We parked next to a french motorhome in the free car park. Nice town but all commerce seemed closed! Are looked fine if you can work out how to get in! Expensive for a couple of hours.

Here 16/6/19. Busy - got last space at 6pm on a sunny Sunday. Gorgeous beach (no views), no dog restrictions. If this is full, there is an Aire (and services that worked - water €2, no grey drain, black free but no free flushing water) at Intermarche, south of Crac'h just north of Locmariaquer.

Difficult to give a rating. Here 13/6/19. Both grass fields underwater! Large lay-by before official Aire so we parked there (no signs saying we shouldn't). No views. Huge beach 100m, signs say no dogs but ignored by French as usual! Lots of new road construction underway to extend parking area hugely - possibly new Aire, maybe services ? - expect change.

Signed parking for MHs is an "Etapes" barrier controlled Aire where you need to buy or use a card. (I saw no option to pay and display). I don't understand these systems - even tho the instructions are in English! Signs said parking was €5 but minimum card payment was €9.50. However there's a large unrestricted (free!) car park with shade just across the roundabout (200m away) so we parked there. Services were next to the wc and available without entering the Aire. The village is OK but underwhelming for a Beaux Village.

Lovely spot next to creek. Lots of parking elsewhere around the sports complex.No EHU. Work underway on edge of car park so maybe these are being replaced?? No EHU at services (round back of buildings) which worked fine. Boulangerie 200m - last shop on right up the slight hill.

Here 8/6/19. Lovely spot on the river bank. Can do circular walk using bridges to cross river. Day parking available on river bank very close to the lovely town centre with self cleaning wc. Interesting church and timber framed houses.

Very pretty outlook. Ferry is noisy and goes continually from 6.30 am to 10 pm. Quite interesting for first twenty or so trips! Boulanger in village. Hole in floor loo open 24 hours.

Here 19 may. Pleasant Aire. No views. Free and free services. Pretty four star fleuri village. Little garden with photos of flowers in village at their best.

Isolated farm. Grass overgrown. Hard standing Ehu, water, grey and black disposal. €5 one night.

Sloping, blocks needed. Lovely village with quirky wooden figures. Excellent new toilets 150m towards village.

Here oct 2018. Very short spaces and no sign saying MHs. However there are signs to dedicated MH spaces at P Hospitalier. It's grotty, between disused railway line and used one. To west of this 'Aire' same side of river. Central bit of town is lovely. Wouldn't want to overnight but ok and free for visiting town.

Here for a few hours. No noise from extractor! Church is gorgeous. Village ok. Not as pretty as others tho it was raining so not at its best!

Coordinates on our car sat Nav took us to centre of village. These coordinates are correct. Aire is further on up little road on right next to a playing field. Free services. Very quiet.

Little to add. Just confirming no changes. Free emptying. Conques is one of best villages we've visited (of loads!). Still €4 to park there. MHs are directed to the top car park. Not all bays are big enough so maybe get there early? No overnighting allowed there.

Fab views tho not of stream/river which is below Aire and behind shrubs. Wc is on main road (not found until we left so not inspected). No water found. Locals said there was none but perhaps near wc? Great drive and not scary over Queribus pass to south. Nice circular walk across river on tracks past cemetery.

Pitches between olive trees. Services are in corner of main car park (thro which you enter Aire). Pay and display. Weird pricing. "Min 23h 45 €8. Max 24 h €3" ! Lovely town. Boulangerie on Main Street. River shallow but ok to swim in.

Here September 2018. €6.50 collected on entry or early morning. Great loo and services. Leaflet shows walks through fab limestone rock formations but the shorter 1 hour walk takes much longer! Signs are pretty good. Very rough path but well worth it. Village ok, nothing special.

Enter thro barriers. Big designated areas beyond the car parks. €5 for the day. Card reader didn't work. Services didn't work but emptying ok. 10 min walk to bridge and lovely river to swim in. Signs say no dogs but being France this was being ignored! Free shuttle bus to St G. No parking for motorhomes there. Don't miss Grottes de Clamouse. Fab.

Aire does exist. We didn't use it because there is free daytime parking right next to the lake. Some is shady. The Aire is higher up with great views but further from the lake. Beautiful lake with red sandy shores. Great for dogs and humans to swim.

Here mid Sept 2018. No barrier. MH parking is thro' arches. Only stayed a few hours but assume free. No water. Loo and grey water disposal ok. Signs say no chairs. Picnic tables provided on small grassy area. Some shade under trees. Town is ok. A bit scruffy and nothing like as wonderful as other fortified towns.

Great once you find it. Several entrances but most dodgy- deep ruts. Best is from north on D111 just after sign at entrance to village. Or from D35. Sign says no swimming. Great shallow lake for dogs. Portaloos a bit grotty. Water in main car park but no hose attachment poss. Lots of shade. Possible to walk round lake. 20 mins. Only MH there 25/9/18.

Here 30/9/18. Several cars parked in MH spaces. Lovely place. NB to drive over Puy Mary heading north signs ban MHs noon to midnight going up and midnight to noon going down. Assume it's opposite heading south. Lots of parking if you need to wait. We ignored signs at 10 am. No problem. Road is fine. No idea why such restrictions are in place. Have driven much much worse. Fab scenery.

25/9/18. Agree with other reviewers. Expensive but Carcassonne is amazing so worth it. NB the Aire nearer to La Cite mentioned in the Aires book now has 2m height barrier. Small outfits may be lucky and find free on street parking for a few hours. Campsite is very expensive. Sign at entrance said you could pay for less than 24 hours but that didn't seem an option.

Grotty. Built up area. Adj road and noisy railway. Water taps have largest thread ever seen! First time in hundreds that we didn't have a suitable adaptor. Would only stay here if desperate.

Here 2/10/18. No services at all. Quiet. Notice boards with walks mentioned. Neither very clear! Lovely English speaking lady vet at Clamecy (10 km away). €40 for two dogs for pet passport checks.

Here for an hour (too short!) 26/9/18. MH spaces full but managed to park in mixed car park overhanging grass. €1 per hour. Shorter or longer is pro rata. Cathedral is truly awesome. For visit to cathedral only, you need 2 hours. (Yes really!). Audio tour is €5 per person including entry to choir. Takes an hour (we were told). Didn't explore town. Too big for us!

Lovely location. Money collected. Services available when we called in 2/10/18. NB our satnav wanted to take us silly route down a non existent road. Follow signs and head straight for river.

Here one night 21/9/18. Pleasant enough. Some very big pitches. Lots of shade. Some next to babbling brook (no access from site). Several little shower blocks. Clean. Good hot showers. Nice pool still open. Very unhelpful receptionist. Couldn't find the campsite on the map they provide! Also didn't mention the rather well hidden back gate into site from river.

24/9/18. Aire nothing special but Mirepoix is. Don't miss if in area. Water available in main car park. Black and grey emptying behind loos at entrance. Road noise not a problem. Sat nav didn't take us to Aire but to main road parallel. Good supermarket at roundabout nearby.

Here 22/9/18. Huge car park at ski station. No shade. No loos. Building that may have had them closed up and no signs. Stunning views and endless off lead dog walks including along little river (didn't seem to be a bridge across, I jumped and paddled!). Very cold first thing in morning.

Terraced car parks. Amazing panoramic views. Lovely 'beaux village' 400m. Free emptying. Need token for water. TI office adjacent. Only open pm in early Oct. toilets were open.

Aire ok. Free services in separate area down hill. Water very slow.

September 2018. Disappointing. Came here to visit beaux village and swim (me and dogs). We found easy on street parking close to the town, no dogs in park and pool closed. Sign giving dates open would have been useful. Town is gorgeous. Great views from windmill. Aire nothing special. No views. Loos clean. Useful to have unlimited ehu. Barrier at entry, possible to pay for just an hour.

Ps to my review. On leaving do not use same machine you used to enter. Very confusing cos it gives option to enter code and 'open the gate' but this doesn't work. Thought we were stuck! Happened to spot another small keypad inside barrier. There is unlimited on street parking for MHs in town on D39 near gendarmerie. It is signed but nothing in Najac is well signed! Still great Aire and village!

Two parking areas both with great but different views. No designated MH spaces. Water and elec not working. Loo emptying ok. Pretty village adjacent.

Some shade. €4 pay before leaving. Unlimited stay. Nice little walled village. Didn't do guided tour. Lovely walk up to windmill on rough path. 45 mins total. Loos ok. NB our satnav took us thro the village to the wrong side of a barrier and the and we had to reverse. Follow signs to village not sat nav.

Fab views. Incredibly windy. Loos and services ok. Donation should be posted through box in door of Mairie.

Very quiet. Free. No services. Campsite adjacent costs €10 per person per night. Some shade from trees. Nice little village. Drive round nearby Cirq des Navacelles is a bit hairy in a few places but amazing.

Bit scruffy. Looks like several travellers live there. Some shade. Loos at train station when open. Train trip to St Jean worth doing (no free Aire there anymore) and dog friendly. Doesn't go on Mondays when we were there in September.

Great place. Tarmac car park has sign saying only usable Sunday morning but there were vehicles there. Very shallow river ideal for dogs. Also big grassy areas nearby. Uninteresting town but great boulangerie near church and good restaurant near station. Close to Rennes Le Chateau of Da Vinci Code fame - day parking for MHs 1 km below village. no MHs in village.

Horrid barrier system where you have to buy a card entering all sorts of info for €3 then pay €11 to stay. Sign at Entry said €5 for 5hours elec but wasn't possible to pay this. Very complicated, confusing and annoying. Free parking at nearby station. We went to fab Aire at Esperaza - free plus free facilities instead.

Services still out of order sept 18. Pleasant spot.

Parking on grass next to big lake with loads of birds. Basic loo and basin round back of shop building. Lovely place to overnight or stay a couple of days. The nature reserve employs lots of disabled people so buying produce from shop supports this very worthwhile project.

Great Aire. Free services and nice views up to creux de van which is worth a visit (steep cliffs in horseshoe shape). Two lovely walks shown on notice board. Nearest has four seasons theme with music (!) and lots of info panels in French. Ice rink and sports hall adjacent but rink closed (for summer I assume) and nothing happening anywhere else so quiet. Stayed there June 2018. Small town nearby

Adequate site along river but limited walks and no decent opportunity for dogs to swim. Pool small but clean and ok. Two washing machines use tokens from reception. Shower blocks ok. Site is a couple of hundred yards from main road where busses run every 10 minutes to Colmar. But they don't take dogs and the walk in is 2km along boring roads. Aire is nearer to town. Colmar is gorgeous.

Grotty. Looked nice in book and these photos but very disappointing. Next to empty/derelict property and views of adjacent river were uninspiring and no riverside walk. Loo emptying point was blocked. Didn't fancy using water. However, there's a little park adjacent where dogs can run free and lots of storks around on rooftops due provably to presence of a stork rehab place next to the Aire.

New Aire. Big car park adjacent to river. Views are a bit disappointing over river to backs of houses. Nothing like as picturesque as other riverside Aires. Ok walk along river on cycle/tow path. Didn't use services.

We've visited this gorgeous town twice. Sept and early June and both times the car park has been packed, mainly with cars. Some Motorhomes have been parked too so assume they have arrived very early or very late or been luck. We overnighted in a nearby Passion vineyard with lovely views but wine was rubbish!

Lovely location overlooking vineyards with walks possibly through them. Little town very quiet (no shops at all!) but pretty with storks nests. Info panel shows walks round village.

Gorgeous spot. Lovely walks through woods round lake. Options for canine and human swimming.

Aire is delightful. Huge pitches. Good services. Easy access thro barrier where you pay in advance and get a code which opens barrier. Instructions in English. Laundry machines just outside. Shame town isn't more interesting. Nearby fishing pond and woods.

I think it's free to stay but you pay for water. Rather strange area. Ski resort in winter. Buildings nearby looked a bit shambolic. Lovely meadows adjacent and great walk around top of ballon nearby (sloping parking available there). Just above road so lots of noise from motorbikes when we were there sat and sun nights in early June. Lovely walk from Lac d'Alfeld to Lac Sewen a few miles away.

Quiet. adjacent to brook. Village nothing special. Loos are not signed. Only discovered by chance. Paid 2 euros for water but tap didn't work. Too early to get help from Mairie office adjacent so used tap in toilets without feeling guilty! Don't miss the gnomery at Faucogney 5 miles sws. Extraordinary!

Next to noisy river! Excellent loos. Thann is a lovely town with amazing church. Good leaflet showing walking tour from tourist office. Spot the statue of the monkey playing bagpipes!

Fab location. Lots of parking. Meadows to walk through and lovely views. Toboggan run looks fun.

No facilities but fab location. Great walk through woods to Lac Noir. 45 mins there, 1 hour back. Very rough and storey in places. Signs say no swimming but French people were letting their dogs swim so we did too.

Very close to one of best Alsatian towns with lots of explanatory panels and quirky shop signs. Busy in late May. Motorhomes closely packed in.

Very close to lovely town. Good leaflet with walking tour from tourist office. 24 motorhomes parked when we were there late May 18. Good loos.

Badly designed. Spaces designated for motorhomes are too small. We parked in bigger spaces at side of car park. Nice park adjacent and v clean loos but the other Aire is nearer town and much bigger.

Lovely. Two nights here in May 18. Overlooks great swimming lake with sandy beach. Signs say no dogs but others were allowing dogs to swim on far side of lake so we did the same.

Reserved spaces in huge car park. Can't imagine anyone would object to overflow parking in other spaces. Volleyball courts adjacent. Industrial area. No dog walks found. Quite close to Luxembourg City.

Two nights here May 18. Very pleasant. Adjacent to bike park so some noise from kids. Well hidden supermarket a few hundred metres away. Useful overnight place for visiting pretty town of Esch sur sure.

Stayed near the wooden building. Uninspiring. Town nothing special. Big supermarket but with underground parking. Useful free overnight stop.

Fantastic views. Alps stretched out above lake. Explanatory notice board. Fab wild flower meadow adjacent. Walks in both directions. One of best places we've stayed out of hundreds. Access road from Sigiez is narrow and steep. Access from west is better. Coaches use that road.

Delightful. Shady bays under trees. More parking by river. No one using ehu when we were there. Two Portaloos. Lovely walk along river and past Marina. Also small park off river path. Handy for first or last night in France.

Nasty. Lots of rubbish around. There's a walk along the canal to the sloping lift but there are so many trees that there are very few views of the lift. Ok for off lead dog walk. The visit to the lift is fab. Worth going out of your way to see. Very good value for money. Overnight parking is allowed at the car park just over the road. So much nicer than the other Camperstop.

Gorgeous quiet spot adjacent to river and locks. 2 lined spaces but room for one or two more in storey area next to Aire. No facilities but delightful. No shops in tiny village. Low bridge on approach can be avoided.

Aire simply large walled car park. No views. But free elec and water and close to amazing citadel. Great for dogs. No grass in Aire but grassy space just outside with bin and opportunity for long off lead walk along moat an in huge meadows beyond. Old town lovely but not as flowery as we hoped for a four star town. Good free walk leaflet to explore old town and spot lions!

Not sure how to rate this Aire. Aire itself very nice and spacious. Pay at barrier on entry. Easy instructions in English. Nice loos. Can order bread (only boring white loaves) at adjacent campsite (only cheese and wine shops in village) and use laundry. But no lakeside walks at all. Very disappointing. Humans can swim in the lake. Signs say no dogs. Lots of boating type activities. Not worth €10

Confused by description saying €3 charge. I think that's just for services and parking is free. Great views and opportunity for endless walks thro meadows. Some road noise. On bikers route. Lovely circular waymarked walk from top of Col, 1 km away, from info office (loos there open when office is).

Good location. 250m to ferry to island. Note-dogs have to be muzzled on ferry. Bus to top of island seemed very infrequent. Lovely owners. Great showers. Views of lake and island from some pitches.

The site shown has a barrier at the entrance. A sign gives a phone no. to ring. Not answered when we arrived but it was lunchtime and we did later get a text back. When we did get thro a very nice lady said she would come and let us in. She said there was another area with same great lakeside position but no ehu for €10 (the main area is €15. We opted for that. Basic wcs there.

Free parking near beautiful town where cars have to pay. What's not to like! Fabulous view from top of hill near cemetery - you can get there by taking the road just beyond the Aire. Or walk down to the town and up a steep cobbled street. Church supposed to be interesting but closed when we were there. Wc nearby which you have to pay for. Wc down by river near TI which is a bit grotty but free.

Nice landscaped Aire. Busy in mid September. Nice town. Church has stained glass windows. Interesting old carved door up near church. Zig zag road worth exploring with unexpected herb garden. Viewpoint gives good view as you would expect! Info place looked good but closed st lunchtime when we were there. Elec not working. Don't rely on it if you visit.

Really lovely location adjacent to river with possible swimming. Dogs not allowed at beach area. Great walk along river.

14 sept. Bridge too narrow for us so had to use road thro (above) st cirq. Narrow and twisty. Anxious drivers/passengers may not enjoy the drive! Lovely Aire. Confused by p&d machine. You have to select overnight rate. Very nice loo block 100m from aire in main car park. Lovely walk along river towards St Cirq. Entertainment watching boats using locks. Ps to my review. This Aire is quite close to the Pêche Merle caves which are fabulous! Need to book in advance. Doors open 9.30. Only 25 people on each tour. Don't miss.

Free. In centre of town so some noisy traffic. Wc ok. Town quite pretty with château and open market hall. Sloping so blocks needed. Only 3 motorhomes when we were there in early September. Services not used.

Intended overnighting here in early September but absolutely full (could barely drive round) with travellers (possibly workers from funfair that had blocked the road a few days before). All looked a bit dodgy.

Amazing to get free parking next to such a famous tourist attraction. Wc nice but charge (50c) to use (early September). Aire busy, as you would expect. Also close to the forêt des singes - the Barbary ape sanctuary- highly recommended. Free and plentiful parking there.

Free. Big Aire. Very busy in early September. Town a bit underwhelming tho' interesting church. musée de l'automate is wonderful. Also lovely walk along the river.

Free with no services. Very busy in early September. Main Aire (lower area) virtually full but others arrived later and parked on higher area. Lovely town. Known as the town of 7 towers. Church tower has arrow slits in it.

Lovely. Flat, good loo block, a couple of free ehu points. Delightful little fishing lake and small wooded area to dog walk. Very quiet early September.

Arrived early September to find Aire full. A party of 27 Motorhome's has arrived. There is more parking round the corner on a slightly sloping grassy bank adjacent to the cemetery. The wc is very basic but works! Helpful tourist info. Bought tickets to Guedelon to 'avoid' queues. (There were none!). Guedelon brilliant. Could spend all day there. Good free services.

Very pleasant Aire. Proper spaces on reinforced grass were full in early September but there are more spaces on grass. Nice walk next to vineyards just above Aire. Offices closed when we arrived so services not used.

€5 collected at entrance. Wc ok. Fab views from church at top of village. Not the prettiest of the hilltop villages but worth a look. Menerbes is the setting for 'One year in Provence '.

Lovely views, overlooks boules courts. Very pretty town. WC closed 7pm to 8 pm. DO NOT approach thro Tourettes- VERY narrow - 2.3 m between houses. Our sat nav (who knows we are 2.24m wide with mirrors) folded took us this way. Not funny.

Rip off! €19 charge incl 2 dogs collected 9 am. €2 to empty Loo! Need code for loo so even that wasn't available. Nice views and chair lift adjacent. Working in early may. Advised by local that ski season is only 2 weeks at Christmas so mainly used in summer. Lift cost €21 return.

Has moved 100m further from town. Well signed. Pay and display. 1 Euro per hour or 6 euros for 24 hours. Ehu available and water and Loo emptying and drive over drain. Toilets at old location 150m away. Supermarket opposite. Convenient for town visit 300 m away. Pretty medieval town with colourful wooden frame houses. Town encircled by walls but no access to walkway. Very pretty towers in walls.

Part of big car park 300m from town walls. Lovely town. Only one in Germany with complete walls. These are covered so ideal if very hot (I wish!) or maybe raining. Circuit is 2.7 km not 1.7! Climb to top of church tower (350 steps) for amazing view of town and meteorite crater. Last Entry 5.30. Half the pitches are adjacent to grassy area. Still 3 euros for 24 hours pay and display. Toilets ok.

Great location on river main 10 min walk from centre of wurzburg. 12 euros for overnight. Barrier at entrance. Pay as you leave. Don't miss going round the residence. It's amazing and only 7.50 euros per person. Guided tour in English at 11 am and 3 pm .

The only Aire near Amsterdam. Secure with free water and Loo emptying. However it's really horrible and in derelict docks surrounded by cleared sites. Good (but not pleasant!)10 min walk to free ferry to city half hourly on hour and 30mins past during day. Cost 29 euros for 2 and 2 dogs and ehu in April. Alternative is to stay further out and get public transport in. Probably would cost the same.

Adjacent to river so great views. Also adjacent to busy road and railway so noise from both. 300m from pretty town. Excellent and cheap ice cream stall 100m!
