great spot for overnight stay £10 ideal if visiting Kendal pub opposite the cricket club .A nice river side walk to the brewery arts centre ,can recommend the factory tap for a beer and food

take no notice of no parking signs locals encourage you to stay the night all very friendly,no parking signs put up by out of town council jobs worths,the mash tun is excellent

ideal for a stay at kielder,you pay the day rate of GBP 5.00 and an overnight fee of GBP 12.00 if you're into star gazing the observatory runs shows at 2300 hrs most evenings weather permitting (half hour walk up a hill to get to the observatory)

Free to park without electric hook up or £5.00 with electric, 2 available spaces with a maximum stay of two nights, you are expected to dine in the pub which was fine great pub food and decent beer, be aware of narrow access roads with passing places from portinscale or braithwaite both single track but only last about 1.5 miles.
