beautiful overnight stop at the foot of the chateau. Fantastic views of the Pyrenees. coordinates are not quite right. Campervan parking is in the lower car park marked P1.
Sitecode: 89602
nice free aire next to a sports ground and lake in a lovely little village. We’ve stayed here a few times, last time we were lucky enough to watch a football match on the field next to the parking. excellent!
Sitecode: 72099
aire has been moved to behind Intermarché to the south of the town.
Sitecode: 99557
Beautiful well kept area with 4 individual spaces. Flot Bleu service point, you will need 2x1 euro pieces for water. Nice walk along the river and interesting ruins and information signs. If you hear a cockerel, it’s a reminder you are in the countryside! He didn’t wake us up though…..
Sitecode: 11094
still free to use, there is now a proper drive over drain with black waste emptying point. the town is starting to look a bit smarter with a new Depot de Pain, open every day from 7 am. No dogs allowed anywhere near the beach still, which is a black mark for the local Marie!
Sitecode: 65590
arrived after 7pm so just paid for overnight. Kelpies are very impressive and our parking spot gave us a good view of them. no services but toilets close by. there is a cafe and gift shop and we hada nice walk along the canals. You can cycle to the wheel from here, but we visited it the next day in the motorhome. Highly recommended visit to both.
Sitecode: 66874
parked here in the top car park during the day to visit the wheel. very impressive! parking was on flat tarmac with a water tap nearby.
Sitecode: 2160
handy parking area to visit the town, but the surface is cheap sandy grit that gets filthy in the rain and when dry, very dusty. there are service points near the entrance which tend to cause queues on the way out. with all the money the council must make from this site ( 100 places at €10 a day) it’s about time they resurfaced this aire with tarmac and provided a second service point further down the aire.
Sitecode: 14048
Arrived at midday with the intention of just stopping for lunch. Only two spaces that were already taken by a couple of vans that seem to have been there a while. Roads to the aire were very narrow with cars parked making manouevering tricky. Nice view of the river but locals seemed miserable. We didn’t stop.
Sitecode: 6512
nice level pitches between the trees on tarmac. Service point easily accessible with a petanque pitch next to it. Very interesting village with mosaic murals showing the areas history and friendly chatty locals. We had lunch and drinks at the Taperia Central Bar ( lots of other bars available). great food and friendly staff. Jalance is well worth a visit.
Sitecode: 56058
15 marked spaces though each space is too narrow to park in so each camping car will take up 2 spaces. Quiet aire in a residential area, slightly sloping so you may need chocks.
Sitecode: 52462
scruffy site with marked and numbered spaces for camping cars, unfortunately, some cars were parked in 3 of the spaces so we didn’t stay. Aire is next to a busy road and was quite noisy while we were there deciding where to go next.
Sitecode: 55951
Handy parking place, but very noisy overnight with people shouting, loud music in nearby cars and sirens every couple of hours. poorly located service point right on the exit. payment bourne wasn’t working when we tried to leave so had to phone the contact no, eventually, after being told 4 different codes that wouldn’t work the barrier, we managed to get out after 30 minutes. At €11.70 it’s far too expensive. Poor value for money.
Sitecode: 78899
beautiful aire. We only stopped here for lunch but well worth coming back to next time we need an overnight stop.
Sitecode: 11656
this place has seen better days…probably. Not sure if the service points work, there was tape over one and they both looked dirty. the surface was red gravel and mostly flooded when we arrived on a rainy day. we stopped for lunch then moved on. maybe more appealing on a sunny day?
Sitecode: 11094
Free parking at the moment but no services except emptying out. Looks like it will have a barrier with associated costs soon. We have been staying at Wissant for many years, but it is slowly changing, for the worst! Boulangerie in the town is now closed and has become an ice cream parlour. Dogs are prohibited on the prom and beach all year round. Unfortunately the town is losing its appeal, I doubt we will visit again. ,

Beautiful location next to the lake. We came here in February 2019 when it was €4:50. parking on grass, that floods when it rains, with no electricity. Today, nothing has changed but the price. It’s now €11 in October and Wi-Fi is extra. Services are, as they were in 2019, adequate, nothing more
Sitecode: 15318
nice quiet parking spot near a pretty park with a small river and children’s play area. There is a newly installed service point but no potable water. there are toilets at the entrance. The nearby town is very interesting with lots of history and a very old church, a boulangerie and 3 bars. There is also a Spar, a couple of hairdresser and an ATM. The town was on the demarcation line which ran along the Grande Rue during the war.
Sitecode: 3973
Service point has been removed. I don’t know if it is being replaced or if it is a permanent removal. Good parking around the lake though and a nice restaurant on the lake. Le Martin Pêcher. ( Kingfisher)
Sitecode: 104649
The aire looks new and is in a nice location. Parking is on level gravel with clean service point. Mauprevoir is a nice village with an excellent boulangerie and a nearby bar/ restaurant. However, despite our best efforts, it was impossible to drive down the access road to reach the aire. The road is very narrow with cars parked on one side and just not enough room to drive a camping car down, so, unfortunately, we couldn’t stay.
Sitecode: 1470
Pleasant aire near the entrance to the campsite ( Nobis) Plenty of room to park any size vehicle. Nice town with restaurants and walks along the river. Been here a couple of times, very handy stop off and easy to get to
Sitecode: 98957
Nice quiet site next to a park with lakes. Surface is tarmac with a few level pitches but levelling blocks needed for most. Water is turned off till you enter your code, then you have one fill up (110litres) Extra fills cost €5!
Sitecode: 22117
very nice quiet aire. we spent a peaceful night here. the village is small with a restaurant but it was closed when we were there. there are lots of signs around the village telling you how to behave
Sitecode: 54020
Probably one of the nicest campsites we have been on for a very long time. it’s a small site with mostly unmarked pitches and there is plenty of room for each with lots of shade. The pool is perfect for cooling off with sun loungers, umbrellas and a shower. The owner, Mark is very helpful and friendly, you really couldn’t wish for a nicer host. Cycling is good and there are walks through the nearby woods. We stayed for 11 nights altogether.
Sitecode: 22122
we stopped of here to use the services but it does look a very peaceful place with plenty of shade under the trees. the church is well worth a visit with some very old fresco’s on the walls.
Sitecode: 61778
beautiful old village with lots of walks and restaurants. Very quiet with only one other camping car that left mid afternoon. Approach road through village to the aire is narrow but manageable.
Sitecode: 99941
we used to go to the aire in Erquy often but found recently that it had moved to here. we weren’t keen on the new site. Although there is a nice beach nearby, it’s just too far away from the town we used to visit and the nearby car parks have signs telling you that car thieves operate in the area! We didn’t stop, nor will we visit again.
Sitecode: 42179
Nice peaceful stop near the abbey with great views of the Loire. No services. Ice cream parlour nearby and boulangerie and other shops a 10 minute walk away. You can also walk downhill to the river and round the Abbey ramparts.
Sitecode: 72427
nice quiet spot next to the canal with walks along the canal. beautiful chateau nearby and a couple of restaurant / bars and cycle hire at the port. services ok but no threaded tap to connect a hose to fill drinking water. you’ll need a can or perseverance!
Sitecode: 88973
nice place for an overnight stop. Arrived Friday and bought organic fruit and veg and a case of Rosé. Excellent wine friendly staff, definitely one to revisit in the future.
Sitecode: 1488
Aire was closed when we visited yesterday. There is building work going on there but don’t know if they are creating a new aire or something else. it is possible to park in the grassy car park a few metres further down but I would think this is mainly for restaurant visitors. we didn’t stay
Sitecode: 28128
Arrived on a wet miserable day and we were the only ones here. very narrow access road ( Willow Walk) with cars parked along the road. we had to drive with two wheels on the opposite pavement. Nice view of the canal and the town is very nice, especially the Cathedral. For a free stop it is excellent, but the council prohibit sleeping overnight….. Why else would you park your motorhome here overnight!
Sitecode: 14076
we’ve been here a couple of times and found it clean and tidy. Had a couple of young lads riding mopeds around early evening but nothing to worry about. Park away from the far end if you can as the water treatment plant makes a whistling sound, you can’t really hear it near the entrance. Nice town with boulangerie and other commerce nearby. Small steam runs close by, quite a nice walk. The church is worth a visit to see the sloping floor!
Sitecode: 1287
Lovely quiet aire next to the Abbey( worth a visit, €6) and lake. Parking for 3 or 4 vans. Service point but no drive over drain. Short walk to the boulangerie in the town ( open Sunday am)
Sitecode: 8228
Nice peaceful site with all normal facilities. We couldn’t find a lane that went down to the beach but there are nice walks nearby. Bread van arrived this morning, excellent baguettes and croissants! Site owner collects your money and is very friendly.
Sitecode: 25120
lovely peaceful aire with well marked individual hedged bays. Fresh water and waste emptying for a charge of €3 ( put money in letterbox next to water taps.) Small bar and shop a short walk away.
Sitecode: 27960
Grass parking adjacent to fish/shellfood factory that starts work at 4am. Very noisy with continuous reversing beepers sounding from fork lift trucks. Ok if you need an early start!
Sitecode: 88621
Very quiet aire in a small village next to an old church. Key for the church available from the shop over the road ( closed Wed). 4 slightly sloping places on slate/ gravel. Small fishing lake a few metres away. Very little road noise, train line close by but didn’t disturb us overnight. Services on site.
Sitecode: 13647
We’ve been here a couple of times and we’re the only ones. There seems to be a little confusion where this aire us as we saw a few camper van in the car park at the rear of the supermarket. The area is very quite, shops are a short walk away. There is a notice telling you not to discharge any waste water.
Sitecode: 11094
We use this site regularly although it goes get busy in the summer. We stayed 24th Dec 2019, there were about 8 other vans here. Nice and quiet with a nice little town and beautiful long sandy beach. Some very nice restaurants open in season.
Sitecode: 21950
After reading all the good reviews of this, we thought we would give it a go. So disappointed! It’s a small parking area on the edge of an industrial estate next to a water treatment plant that was very smelly. Ok, it’s got hedges between the parking spaces but all the outer spaces were roped off when we arrived and if didn’t look very inviting. Not worth €12 so we went to a nearby free aire.
Sitecode: 1300
Nice quiet little aire tucked away at the bottom of a nice town. Shops and restaurants close by as well as a great boulangerie. Parking for 3 motorhomes near the service point but plenty of space around rest of the car park to stay, cars are rarely here. There is a large supermarket with fuel a short distance away. Service point is credit card operated and working when we were here mid December.
Sitecode: 12225
Free parking outside a famous sweet factory! What could be better? We had an audio tour of the factory, followed by free samples of the dragees in the shop and of course bought a few bags of them. The dragees are wonderful. The parking area isn’t quite level so we used our levelling ramps, and there is a clean visitors toilet open all night. We were the only van here and felt perfectly safe.
Sitecode: 24946
Parking appeared to be either at the side of the shop or behind it. Just looked scruffy so we didn’t stop.
Sitecode: 49672
Spent a peaceful night here between the river Seine and a church. Service point needs €2 coin for water and power, free to empty cassette and grey water though. Close to the main road but it was quiet and we weren’t disturbed.
Sitecode: 57330
Stopped here for lunch and to use the launderette close by. Services were working, Jeton (€3)required for 120 litres of water ( and possibly 55 minutes of electricity). There is also a pillar with electric hookups, (€3 for 3 hours) opposite. Surface is chalky gravel and gets very wet in the rain. Pizza machine in the town was broken!
Sitecode: 42346
Parking for 4 or 5 small campers on gravelled spaces. Water and waste close by but on our visit the water was turned off. We didn’t stay as we needed to fill with water. Walked around the town and saw an impressive looking church nearby but it was closed and looked in a bad state of repair. The rest of the town was quite scruffy with no signs of life in any of the champagne sellers. Disappointed!
Sitecode: 88250
Nice town with many timber framed houses. Quiet aire, we were here on our own, but unclear where to park, so we reversed up to the area with the bottle bank, under the gaze of the scary girl painted on the wall! Service point was wrapped in black plastic, so not working when we were here 7th Dec 2019.
Sitecode: 25426
We’ve parked here quite a few times and have always been able to park and feel safe. Satellite reception can be a bit hit and miss because of the big tree at the front. Water is available via a tap on the outside wall of the men’s toilet block. Nowhere for grey water though. Still, at least the council provides this facility. Bury St Edmunds town is really nice, Abbey Gardens is superb.
Sitecode: 13720
Great free are in a nice friendly village. We had free electricity, though in December and with temperatures down to -2 last night, the water was turned off. Church in the village is well worth a visit to see the impressive wall paintings and the boulangerie sells wonderful baguettes. We had a very peaceful night and got recommendations from locals on interesting places to see in the vicinity.
Sitecode: 1477
Nice peaceful location, parking is on a slight slope so you may need ramps. 6 camping cars when we were there in Nov ( 24th ) 2019 and most were over 7 metres. Ours is 7.5 m and had no trouble parking. Nice town a short walk away with restaurants and bars and a boulangerie pâtisserie. This is closed on Wednesdays. Impressive looking Hôtel de Ville that used to be an abbey and a fine looking church
Sitecode: 6009
Visited Feb 2019 with the intention of staying the night. The aire was scruffy and remote. Other vans came and left immediately. We had lunch then intended to look around the town, but it didn’t feel safe to leave the motorhome alone, so I moved our it to the main road while we looked round the town, then we left. The town has a nice cathedral but you have to pay to go in. We didn’t.
Sitecode: 21977
Perfectly level gravelled site with parking for 4 up to 8m motorhomes and service point on the edge of a pretty town and backing onto open countryside. Boulangerie is just a short walk away past the flower covered bandstand. Very attractive church, worth a visit too. All in all, a lovely place to stop.
Sitecode: 58749
Nice aire, very quiet with free services and Wi-fi, level parking on gravel with picnic tables. What’s not to like? Quite busy when we were here at the end of October, I think there were 10 vans overnight. There is also a sign showing visiting times for a pizza van.
Sitecode: 1476
Appears to be closed now. All signs removed and height barrier at the entrance to the car park. There may be camping car parking nearby as we saw a sign in the town, but were unable to find it.
Sitecode: 9897
Excellent move by Canterbury City Council to provide this aire, and judging from last night, a very popular place to stop. The main area was full and the overflow area was over half full. Cost is( currently) £7 for an overnight stop with fresh water and drainage provided. Just a word of advice though, please lift the grid first at the service point to empty your cassette!
Sitecode: 13562
Stopped here a few times in the day but never overnight as there have been many reports of motorhomes and caravans broken into. Lots of proper aires nearby, I would recommend you use one of those instead
Sitecode: 13647
Took a while to find this because the directions try to take us down a road ( Route de la Marie) which is partly one way. We ended up at the car park opposite Carrefour Contact, along with 2 other vans. This isn’t the aire though! When you turn down towards Contact, turn left, not right and the aire is a few metres on the right. We spent a quiet pleasant night here. Definitely recommended.
Sitecode: 25185
Nice quiet overnight stop with views over the vines and abundant wildlife. A better alternative to the nearby aire in the village. Fresh water from the tap at the left end of the building and free electricity.
Sitecode: 2468
I’m afraid we turned up and decided we would just use the services and go. It’s very run down in a not too pretty town. There was work going on in the air itself ( large holes dug and fenced off) the services were, to put it mildly, disgusting. Black waste spilled around the small manhole you need to empty your cassette into and two taps above that looked dirty. There are nicer places!
Sitecode: 1847
Aire is really just a car park outside the old station ( which is now a music school) We visited at the in March 2019 and there were 9 other vans here, so very popular even in Winter, which is not surprising given the lovely town nearby which is well worth a visit. The centre is a square with cloistered shops and restaurants around it. The town has a lovely friendly feel and we will come back soon
