We've been coming to Birkenhof for stopovers for many years. Unfortunately, it's gotten dirtier every year, and this time it was awful. The sanitary facilities clearly hadn't been cleaned in four days: dirt, grime, and cobwebs were everywhere. There was no fresh water at the chemical toilet/cassette disposal point, and the flush hose was broken – we had to use the shower and toilet. Very unhygienic. The children's playroom was also neglected.
