A very beautiful place, but unfortunately everything is cordoned off with chains and the castle has a fence with a rolling gate. We drove on.

We stayed here one night before visiting the Guédelon castle construction project. It was a quiet night; in the morning a relaxed angler arrived with his dog. A good spot.

The campsite is very quiet, surrounded by greenery, on the banks of the Charente river. We enjoyed it very much.

We really enjoyed the campsite. The multilingual staff at reception were very friendly. Three nights for two people and a 6m campervan cost €86.16. The sanitary facilities are in good condition, the site is dry, and it's still quiet and not very busy. If you return later in the evening, the tram is still running, but the bus has stopped, so you have a nearly 2km walk to get there at night.
