The previous review only refers to a temporary event. The space is still available. Water and electricity are available, €2 and water is free. Mixed parking. 10 minutes walk to the old town.

If you love peace and relaxation, this is the right place for you (probably only in the off-season). Parceled pitches on grass, if it is raining/has rained a lot, probably not recommended. There are already some big, deep tire tracks here. €2 flat rate for 24 hours is totally OK.

The place is practical for exploring the beautiful city. €15 for an overnight stay is already cheap up here. I can't confirm that it is quiet, beautiful and well-kept. From 5:00 a.m. onwards it gets noisy and noisy because of the street passing by and the businesses around it. OK for 1 or max 2 nights.

Of the 10 designated RV sites, 8 were occupied by cars. The city should put up better signs here or issue tickets, as is sometimes done elsewhere. I had to leave Schwerin empty-handed because I couldn't find a place to stay overnight, not even anywhere else.

Closed since October 7, 2024. It doesn't say anywhere how long or why. Everything is surrounded by a construction fence.

After searching for the parking space in Freigericht for almost an hour without success, I came here instead. Thanks to Google Maps, I also searched for this parking space for over half an hour. But I was rewarded. Good free, unmarked parking space in front of a sports hall in a dead end street and right next to a large dog park. V/E. Electricity for 8 plugs, although officially only 3 parking spaces. Beautiful hiking area.

The parking space is well laid out. Unfortunately, the plots are not marked, so many campers spread out and take up two spaces. Beach 20 minutes walk, dogs prohibited. Other reviews mentioned the smell in the air, which we initially didn't attach importance to. We only noticed it in the evening. It lasted all night and was sometimes so intense and disgusting that it made us sick. Never again!!

The place itself is ok. There is a military compound directly across the street. Every morning from around 9:00 there is a blast. Jet planes several times a day. Not suitable for animals with a fear of bangs!! Not much to visit within walking distance. To Arcachon 18km.
