The town of Menaggio is very nice. It is just a shame that this is the only campsite here. The location is great, actually right on the “only” little beach in this place and close to the center. But it is a really old and dirty campsite; there is a lot of junk on the grounds and the sanitary facilities are also in need of replacement. I recommend it for the location and the village, but otherwise definitely not.

I disagree with the negative reviews posted. We stayed here for three nights and were very positive. It's a bit dated, but that's part of the fun! It's clean, has nice campervan sites, friendly staff, a small but really nice French camping shop with sandwiches and a restaurant with pizza options to eat in or take away. It's an easy walk to the beach/town, which is also highly recommended.
