Lovely area and so close to the town. Site is adjacent to the quietest train line ever. site is not level so blocks may be needed. Big plus side is that everything is free and 16a electricity is available to about 60% of the users. Lovely lake opposite is very nice for walking around. Nothing really to not like, except the smell of the waste bins !!!

First off, the ticket machine is 5 minutes from the Aire, I’d suggest getting a space then a ticket. Also at the machine is the water (2€) and waste and toilet drains. 50 potential spaces yet we spent the night alone (May 27th). short walk to lake. No dogs allowed on the beach yet so much human faeces makes me wonder if humans should be banned ! Site itself is all hard standing and not delineated. Total darkness at night, birdsong in the morning

Given its location so close to roads, it is actually a great place to stay. You can expect road noise from 7.30am onwards but nights are quiet and I’ve enjoyed my best sleep in weeks here. Site security is good, owners are very friendly and the Paella is amazing and great value. Cycle rides from here go in all directions. Most pitches get sun all day. We came for a night and stayed for 4.

A lovely place to park up, I guess! Today, however, it is blowing a gale and there is no natural cover to escape it. We can’t go back to the coast today as the viaducts leading here were already difficult to cross due to wind. WARNING: the pine trees here are covered in Processionary Caterpillar procesionaria del pino) nests. These caterpillars are extremely dangerous to dogs. Look them up!

Quiet and peaceful, nothing special, no facilities. Restaurant nearby. Plenty of space out of season. Good overnight area if visiting the caves. If the beach is what you’re after, much better overnight areas are a short drive away in Nerja.

Currently in the main car park as the Aire section is crammed full, can’t believe we left a fantastic beach to come here! It is what it is, a car park, but right in the town centre. Water and toilet waste is available against the back wall. Look at the ground for two metal grates, left is water, you’ll need a hose, right is poo. Not sophisticated, but functional.

In all honesty, 12€ without EHU is a bit expensive for here. Lovely place to park up as you’ll almost certainly have a riverside view but very basic facilities (that were out of order on our visit). Ringing the intercom does not guarantee entry. You may need to walk to reception to get them to open gate. Toilet waste is in the small metal flap on ground by water tap. Dog walking difficult.

This is a tolerated parking area split over 3 locations all near each other. No camping behaviour is allowed although chairs and tables were widely used on our visit. There are no facilities although there is access to a sewer manhole near to the T junction. The beach is very close. 3 restaurants, not open in January. Shop within 1 mile sells everything you need. Superb location, very peaceful !!

Two camper van parking areas, one for 10+ nights, the other for short stays. Both are reasonably spacious and have fresh water, waste water and toilet disposal. Sandy surface which was fine in the dry. No electric in the short stay area. Very close to town, just a few minutes walk. Views over the river to Spain. Fishing boats use the quayside but not noisy. Quiet at night. 1€ tourist tax/night
