A hidden gem right on the IJssel. A wonderfully quiet little paradise. P.S. Don't tell anyone.

Super quiet camper site in the middle of Vierhouten, at a junction of cycling and walking routes. Very good shower and toilet facilities and a nice, tasty, and affordable bistro. We will definitely come back here.

Really intended for self-sufficient campervan owners; the surface is paved but bumpy and looks more like a truck parking lot. But you are parked level! And, incredibly quiet. With a beautiful view over the bay, nice pubs and bars nearby, friendly locals, great for cycling and good for walking. Anyway, that is why we stayed for two days.

Very quiet pitch, right on the Greenway cycle route, a lovely cycle path over old stone bridges and mystical tunnels. Cycle from here to Duncanhan or Waterford. No facilities whatsoever, but a very beautiful, quiet and free pitch behind an old, former weaving mill. In the village there is a simple shop for daily necessities and limited food options.

Large parking lot in a park-like setting that is visited by many day-trippers during the day on weekends and holidays. However, in the evening it is wonderfully quiet and pure nature. You can take beautiful walks along nature trails, streams, and a lake. The toilet block is dated but kept neatly clean, as is the parking lot. The toilet block is closed after 10:00 PM. There are no facilities for grey water or chemical toilets.

There are few campervan sites in the Randstad, so you're lucky to have one in Leiden. However, the six sites are small, the grounds are cluttered, and there are no clear registration instructions. Fortunately, other guests were able to help us. The access road is a dead-end street, and the campsite isn't signposted; the last stretch is very narrow; we had to fold in the mirrors. It's really only suitable for campervans.
