For a campground in the middle of the city, it is OK. It is already very close and the place is pretty crowded. Mornings then pretty early very loud (there are always those noses whose car has to run forever in the state ... no idea if the car start sooo bad :)) Wide paths to the shower. Otherwise clean and well guarded (24/7), one comes only from the place when one pays and has the appropriate stamp from the front desk. The old town is very well within walking distance within 20-25 min. You can also take the bus or order a taxi.

The place is really nice and clean. We stood on a fortified place with its own seating group and overlooking the lake. Toilets are clean and as far as OK but actually a bit too little. What was also ugly: the drinking water there stinks foul! Is in Latvia more often times like this. Unfortunately, we did not know why that is. We prefer water in the supermarket (5 liters for 50 cents).

Nice quiet place. Everything maintained and clean. As others have written, call ahead as the place is not crowded by the owner. There are only 2 girls and 1 young toilet and a shower. That was no problem for us. Good starting point for activities around the Gauja. Happy again 👍. Persons and VW bus 19 Euro

Place is closed. You could have drivers after a phone call but there are (currently) no showers and only dry toilets. Otherwise a nice well-kept place with a great view of the lake.
