Flat terrain with a nice swimming lake. Step back in time (the 1950s) because the mining town is remote, half inhabited, half deserted, and therefore has a unique atmosphere. Toilets and shower are okay, washing up likewise: simple. There was music from locals when we were there; it was cozy with the only 2 other campers and some people from the village. There is a canteen.

Nice, larger campsite. Separate field for "no electricity" near the water. Excellent facilities and spacious kitchen. Barbecue area and sauna, playground and small swimming beach. Quiet.

It feels like wild camping. A bit of road noise, but completely surrounded by greenery. 2 toilets, 2 showers. Simple and old-fashioned, but clean. Hot water and an outdoor kitchen with a gas stove and sink. Reindeer included. Rowboat, sauna, and hiker's cabins for rent. We thought it was great here. Super beautiful spot, within cycling distance of Ruka.
