The parking lot is called 'Am Bodetal'. The cost is €16.00, payable by debit card only. A voucher booklet can be obtained for free at the train station upon presentation of your parking ticket. No facilities. You can store everything for €2.00 at campsite Klostercamping Thale. A fine spot and close to the cable cars. There is nothing to see or do in Thale itself.

4-9-26. We were there at 11:00, there were still 4 spots available. After 18:00, there were 12. Only 7 are allowed to park there. Chemical toilet across the street, but the water for flushing and the clean water intake are shut off. The town is nearby and nice to visit for an hour. The parking meter is across the street. You pay from 9:00 to 18:00.
