A nice place for both the outward and return journeys; since we are allowed to stay here for free, as a token of appreciation we visit the lovely terrace with a fine dining area at the museum, which is incidentally well worth a visit, with the option to go underground in the mines.

For us, it is a lovely, somewhat smaller and quiet campsite with neat and clean facilities. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The campsite is ideally situated in the middle of beautiful green surroundings and within walking distance of the beautiful medieval village of Moncontour, which is really worth exploring. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

A lovely, quiet camper site with 8 official pitches and the good fortune to be neighbors of a beautiful castle for a while! It also features a cozy brasserie open on weekends, and the park surrounding the castle is a kind of arboretum and well worth a visit. The camper site itself borders a nature reserve.

A great campsite with ample space and facilities. The beautiful museum, showcasing the history of the mines and the hard work of the miners, is definitely worth a visit. While we were there, the Brasserie, with its very friendly service, is worth a visit; there's nothing wrong with enjoying some fries, a platter, or a drink. The restaurant across the street is open in the evenings. Thank you, Blegny-Mine, for your hospitality; we'll definitely be back!

Thank you, Mesnières-en-Bray, for your hospitality. What a beautiful village you have, a wonderful area for walking and especially cycling. Thanks, and see you next time!

Just passing by, you might think to stop at the top of the dike and take a look in and around the Dikke Toren (Fat Tower). It's especially idyllic when you pause for a moment to admire the adjacent house with its lush garden, owned by the artist couple Ferry Alink and Willem den Ouden, who lived and worked here in Varik. When you reach the bottom of the dike along the water, it actually turns out to be a "Discover Your Place"...if you appreciate it.

What a wonderful campsite! A warm, Brabant-style welcome from the owner. The atmosphere at this smaller campsite was very friendly and relaxed; everyone can be themselves here. We would definitely recommend this campsite for a stay with small children (and even older ones); the activities offered are close to nature.

A beautiful central location, nestled in the greenery of the city near the cathedral. Be careful! The road there was a bit of a challenge due to roadwork diversions, as that one access road has a rather steep and abrupt gradient compared to the main road. If you don't want to scrape your way through, be careful when driving in!

Tip: Order e-tickets for Monet's Gardens and arrive later the next afternoon. There was plenty of space at the parking garage and campervan site, and the line was less than 10 minutes to get in. The evening atmosphere at the parking garage is very relaxed; we had a great time!

This is what we, as campers, want: to be able to enjoy a wonderful, free-standing space in an oasis of peace. Kudos to the owner who makes his property available for this and only asks that you respect the peace and quiet and keep things tidy. Thank you for your hospitality.

A wonderful stay at a well-equipped camper site. There are four pitches available, each with a firm surface and grass all around, overlooking a beautiful park and a stunning area perfect for walking and/or cycling. In our case, the β¬10 was collected in the evening by the mayor himself, the personification of French hospitality and a wonderful person.

It's ridiculous that you apparently have to book well in advance for a night at a camper site, and upon arrival, according to the column, there is no more space at the 'full' camper site where, in addition to the campers themselves, trailers, cars and camper furniture have also filled the asphalt.

What a lovely campsite, the arrival started with a very friendly manager and was most cordial. As a camper you have everything you need, a nice spacious place in the green, a nice warm shower, fresh croissants and other delicacies the next morning on order. Beautiful accommodations in special settings and a beautiful castle just a few minutes by bike in a lovely French town in a very beautiful nature reserve.

Peace and space are absolutely to be found at this campsite, beautiful spacious places and plenty of walking and cycling opportunities in the area. The American Cemetery Margraten is within walking distance of the campsite. The owner is friendly and is certainly helpful, in the laundry building there is everything if the camper has forgotten something, from electricity to a BBQ. Nice place to stay for a few days.

Friendly welcome, administrators are genuinely good at assessing who thinks they should get ahead and who behaves correctly, congratulations! Good hard surface with a beautiful view along the Maas. Sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but neat, showers (with coins) were warm and clean. There is a Delhaize supermarket a short distance towards the city, unfortunately the city of Dinant has not been able to maintain its glory days.

Friendly welcome after calling the manager. With our camper on a nice spacious pitch, half gravel and the other half grass with a picnic table and a permanent BBQ. Some outdated sanitary facilities, but spotlessly clean and wonderful showers. Beautiful walking park opposite the campsite and an IntermarchΓ© supermarket is a 5-minute bike ride away.

PLEASE NOTE, when you reserve pitches online at this campsite and pay for them, you do not read anywhere that you still have to pay when leaving the site via a barrier, in our case β¬23, but why not complain? Pitches at this campsite are fine and quite large, sanitary facilities are very poor, moderately clean, outdated and the location is covered in cobwebs. Tip: want to be close(er) to Saint Michel? Look carefully around where you are going to stand!

For us, a place we will definitely return to, certainly deserving of more than 5*. Very friendly Daniek and Casper (NL) have made it a great place, whatever you want... peace, entertainment, natural beauty and beautiful special villages where time has stood still, a visit to Saint Parthem, Grand Vabre is also a must. or Conques (all very historic). Everything you need is available at the campsite itself. Sani is complete and very clean!

An excellent campsite for a short stay, one overnight stay. Due to the temperature, the toilets and showers were still closed, but that was understandable and no problem at all. The supervisor was helpful with a reference to a local supermarket where we could buy fresh bottled water. Facilities for discharging dirty water and 'non-drinking' water for rinsing were available at the campsite. Please note, access only with Pass'Γ©tapes camping pass!

Nice place to spend the night, electricity available right next to the quay if necessary. Fresh water was not available due to a malfunction, a friendly employee at the local station helped us with water. A quick detour to refresh at an adjacent p-place behind a municipal office who were also very friendly. Beautiful place for walking and cycling along the locks with a view of the ChΓ’teauneuf castle, also worth a visit.

Beautiful and quiet CP, well-kept environment with walking park, walking to the center you come across an old source whose water is not 'controlled' but where older residents in particular come to frequently fill their bottles and they are already really old, so nothing wrong with that water! The local bakery is also recommended, for a few euros you can have the tastiest croissants, baguette or pain rustique from 7:30 am.

A nice quiet place, with electricity and water for a small fee, at the former station there is a small museum with a dining car where you can enjoy a drink on the platform/terrace. Ideal location for walking or cycling during your stay.

A warm and cozy welcome at the cozy picnic table under the tent canvas with coffee and a delicious stroopwafel, the owners of Camping Dalmeden know how to welcome campers and campers, affordable and all facilities are there and also very neat. This is a place where we will definitely return, thank you for your wonderful hospitality!
