A good but expensive place to park. In winter, there is no water available and the EHU wasn’t working either but it’s quiet and there are pleasant walks in the parks.

This is a field for parking to visit the pretty town. It has no facilities but you can stay overnight. If it rains, you may get stuck but we came here in the summer and it was fine. We loved the space and the peace and quiet. The town has a wonderful fortified church which is well worth a visit, particularly upstairs. There is a cafe restaurant with a tourist office inside and public lavatories.

A useful spot when travelling to ferry ports. It’s a nice setting by the river and you can have a pleasant walk. It’s right by the road though and quite noisy, so I didn’t sleep very well! Pay 4€ at the service point for parking and other facilities. There’s a code on your receipt to open the waste bins.

We enjoyed our stay here. There’s plenty of room to park even on a Sunday in August, when there are a lot of day trippers. It’s quiet at night and there is some shade, the pitches are fairly level. There was a working toilet and shower in the centre of the block and also a beer kiosk, but this was an August Sunday. Difficult to get water as others have said. I’d stay for more than one night.

We stopped here to use the services. It’s a very small site hedged in by tall shrubs, by a busy main road. There’s not much room to park away from the facilities as it’s so small. Lidl next door!

This is a good site within easy walking distance of a pretty town with bars, shops, a good gelateria, greengrocer, fish shop, ATMs etc. It’s next to a large grassy field with shade from trees and the pitches are level. On the down side, young people hang around making a noise in the evening. They are harmless but noisy! All services available though you have to wash down WC waste.

We stayed for one night on 1 August. By day, it was very busy with Italians enjoying their holidays by the lake where you can swim, waterski etc. At night there were 3 or 4 other vans. Peaceful but some road noise. No facilities except a rubbish bin, a bar at a short walk along the lake and a pizzeria nearby. These may be seasonal.

We stopped to use the facilities one morning. We decided not to stay as there was no shade and it was very hot. Looked as if some vans were parked permanently. Several water taps, read them carefully and use the service point carefully. Chemical WC goes down a hole in the stand. It looked like a nice town.

We stayed one night in front of the house as the site was full. We paid 17.50€ which included electricity and all facilities. Beautifully clean and well organised new showers, toilets etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby and town is a good uphill walk into town(!) Bread service. Pleasant owners. Good WiFi.

We stayed here for one night. It’s a well run site with good facilities, a restaurant and a bar. It’s great to be able to get a cold beer or ice cream on a hot day. There is also a grocery van which calls in the evening, we were there on a Thursday. It’s a remote site but within easy walking distance of the gorge where people swim. For us it’s too big but it depends what you like.

We stopped to use the services one Saturday lunchtime. As others have said, cars use the spaces and we had to stop one from parking on the service point. It’s a good spot for visiting the very pretty town and I would imagine it is quiet at night.

We stopped for a night. The stop filled up and some vans parked nearby. There’s a nice small town up the hill with shops,banks, restaurant and a petrol station. All facilities are available including toilets (yellow door). We had a good night’s sleep.

Great place to stop. Everything free, water and electricity at each pitch. Waste facilities. Fabulous pizzas and ice cream in hotel. It’s all really well run and organised, they invest in the site and are organising hard standing for the pitches. Nice people. Only downside is the train line but I slept well.

We wanted to stay here but there was a party going on and there was a marquee on the camper places! It was a steep drive up but the views were wonderful. The young man at the hotel gave us the details for Koren at Suzemberk so we went there. I think this is probably a good place to stay

A wonderful relaxing campsite on the river Soka. It gets busy, so arrive early. All facilities, could do with more but that might spoil the place. Showers are good, toilets work and it’s clean, so don’t worry about the toilet block’s rusticity! You can use the washing machine if you ask. A little noise from the occasional train and log yard but we loved it.

We tried to park at this site on 20 July. It was inaccessible due to major roadworks on the road leading to it. Even if we had found it, it would have been very noisy and dusty.

Good spot for visiting the nearby lakes. A mix of smaller campervans and tents. Shade for some pitches. Good facilities but another couple of showers and more hot water would be good. Some road noise. Good WiFi. Friendly hosts, efficiently run. Restaurants and shop nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a small, relaxed site well run by its owner Pero. It’s peaceful, has a lovely pool, good showers, washing machine, clean toilets and even hot water to wash up! Pitches are level and many are shaded. It’s away from the town but Pero will give you a lift there. I recommend it.

We stayed at this site in mid July, it was very crowded and we were not comfortable. It is probably better out of season. Robert and his mother are pleasant and helpful, his father is not. There is a very narrow beach area, the road is noisy, there is a tricky access road and there was loud, live music. Not for us.

Good place to stay when visiting Barcelona with good transport links. A quiet spot with the added bonus of the Colònia Güell to visit with its beautiful Gaudí crypt.

It’s ok for an overnight stop. It’s handy for the ferries at Civitavecchia. It’s close to the beach, there are a couple of restaurants and bars nearby. There is plenty of room as it’s a large dusty car park. The castle dates back to the 14th century and there are Roman and Etruscan remains nearby. But it is dirty,there is a lot of rubbish, it was very hot at night and a train runs close by.

We stopped overnight and had a quiet night, all the services for waste and water. Bought some Cava and were educated on it by the charming Ramon. A lovely tranquil spot with space for big vans, the only drawback is lack of shade.

We stopped here one Sunday morning to sort ourselves out after leaving a villa (!) nearby. It’s just off the main road,so easy to find,though could be noisy. There’s a wine factory next door as it’s in the middle of vineyards. It’s flat,level and has all the services, designated for campers and there are picnic tables. There’s a large Carrefour nearby and a petrol station with shop open Sunday.

Good stop with all the facilities, including fresh spring water from the tap, though it’s rather slow! Slightly difficult to find, take the road past the Questura at the roundabout. Some residents seem to use it to park their cars for short periods, despite the fact that it is designated for campers. I cannot comment on noise levels as we did not stay overnight.

Great space. Very quiet, we had the place to ourselves in early July. As others have said, wonderful views. Entrance is past a private campsite, the camperstop is called Piazzale Marco Simoncelli, named after the wonderful motorcyclist who died tragically so young.

We stopped here to top up with water and empty our waste. It looks like a nice place to stay with plenty of shade, level ground and a small playground. The only downside is it’s near a road which may be noisy for some but I suspect it quietens down at night.

We were hoping to stay here overnight but found, yet again, like Ainse, that building works are going on and it was quite noisy and dusty. There is also no shade and at present it’s really hot in Spain! So we moved on and found a spot to camp overnight off one of the roads, sheltering under a few trees! I think the work at Cordona should be over in about a month but I’m not sure.

We didn’t stop as it was a very hot day and there was very little shade. Also there were building works going on while proper facilities for motor homes are being installed. I imagine these will be completed within a few weeks. The town looked pretty but I’m afraid we found the parking area too uncomfortable for us on that day for the reasons I have given.

Very pleasant site on a small farm. We enjoyed our stay here. The only problem we had was finding the site while the roadworks are going on. You cannot turn down the road but have to take the next parallel road by the farm equipment dealer. It’s worth persevering as the site is peaceful, cheap and has all the facilities including WiFi.

We arrived and all the spaces were taken so we squeezed into a corner and other latecomers parked in car spaces. It’s handy for town but quite noisy with the ferry running till midnight and starting again at 6. You also get mopeds buzzing by on the towpath, so I didn’t sleep well but ok for a night’s stop. It’s pretty level but there are no facilities.

A lot of positives but some negatives. It’s a good spot for visiting the lake and 2 restaurants next door, plus ice cream parlour etc. Yes, there are facilities but the sani station is rather dirty and smells quite badly. The site needs some TLC, it’s not clear who looks after it. The overhead lights are very bright at night, so not my favourite stop but others may enjoy it more.

Great site for visiting Berlin. It’s 26€ per night for 2 people in van, electricity extra. This seems to be the going rate for Berlin. You get a well run, clean and tidy site with good facilities. The bus to town stops right outside, fairly quiet at night though weekends may be noisier.

This is a nice spot, next to the pool, backing on to a small canal/river. An easy walk into the pretty town with lots of shops, restaurants, bars etc. A short walk to the nearest supermarket over the railway bridge. The pitches are fairly level, there are trees for shade and all facilities are available. It’s even quiet at night. We really liked it.

A pleasant site, well run but relaxed. A lot of space, pay in the info booth, with showers and toilets next door (50 cents). Quiet at night, except for horses in stables next door snuffling around and it’s a bit smelly if the wind is in the wrong direction! It feels a bit remote but it’s not that far into town and the park is very pretty. Fresh water available.

We liked this site and stayed for 2 nights. Right next door to a lovely outdoor pool with a small cafe and showers available. A service point with each service costing €1. A good restaurant in the town within easy walking distance. Quiet at night. Only drawback is a slight slope on the higher parking spaces .

We stayed here for one night. Mixed parking with one large lorry parked up. It was peaceful and quiet, the only noise was foxes and owls! A short walk to the Castle and to the supermarket in the other direction. No facilities.

We stopped for lunch en route to somewhere else. It looked like a pleasant place to stay. The only thing we had difficulty with, was finding a rubbish bin!

Nice site, well organised for visiting Prague city centre. Good facilities, including excellent sanitary block. Helpful staff, small shop. Supermarket and ATM within a short walk. Many restaurants nearby including one on site. The only thing I really disliked was the charge for WiFi, given that the site is quite pricey anyway and many places provide WiFi free of charge.

A convenient site for visiting Pirna but when we stayed midweek in late August, the ferry wasn’t running so it was a much longer walk into town. We found the train noise really loud at night but we live in the country, others may cope with it better. No facilities but quite relaxed with people sitting out etc.

A lovely, quiet shaded campsite behind the new indoor pool, in the grounds of the old lido. You pay at pool, 9€ for night and a 20€ refundable deposit for the key. All facilities provided and showers cost 1.50€ at pool. The entrance to the site is beyond the pool entrance. A reasonable walk into town. Plenty of space and a good night’s sleep.

Ok for an overnight stay but it’s close to a road and also a railway line. There’s a pleasant open space nearby and it’s a short walk into Saalfeld, which is a pleasant town. A lovely swimming pool on the other side of the road. No facilities at the site.

Wonderfully quiet space, high above Battenberg with a great view over the town. 1 km walk down hill to town. No facilities but good for people travelling with dogs as plenty of space, also a small playground nearby if you have children.

Good for town centre and cheese market every Thursday morning in summer. Very busy though, with over 100 vans in mid August on a Wednesday evening, no chance of electric! Use what space you can find and keep your fingers crossed! Ticket machine ran out of paper so we used the receipt it had managed to print. Pleasant library next door with free WiFi. Gouda is a pretty town.

Quiet spot on mixed parking for large outdoor swimming pool. 4 designated motor home spaces. You can spend the day at pool which is grassy and shady with many swimming areas, showers and a small cafe. The pool is open April - September. No facilities at the parking area but it’s right next to the river, a lovely spot.

A very convenient spot for Espelette, with shops and facilities in easy walking distance. There are no services other than rubbish disposal and some toilets, next to this. The places are mainly on a slight slope and overspill into mixed parking with buses, with no apparent problem. The road is quite noisy but quieter overnight, though you will be woken at 7 am!

We stayed here in late March, we loved it as it was so peaceful and quiet. There is nothing here except the church (closed till mid April 2017), a couple of restaurants, some houses and a river. If you are looking for simplicity, you've found it, so don't go expecting any services! Yes, take the access road opposite the restaurant, which is easier despite sharp turn.

We liked this site. It's a short walk into Limoux, which is a pleasant town with all facilities. You can catch the train to Carcassonne for 2€ return. The aire has a few long term campers but it's all very friendly and safe, with all services. We parked by the river which is really pretty.There is a market, on Thursday I think and sometimes visitors block the services. We stayed 2 nights in March.

We stayed at this site, by the river with a large recreational area. Bar next door and services. Town up the hill. Quiet save for some noise from railway line but OK over night. A pleasant spot.

Be aware, the service area is next to the fire station beyond the arena on the right. You get the key from the fire station and water costs 3.50€. We didn't bother. Not a stopover place. There may be parking at the arena but it looks a bit rough.

Good site for visiting Coimbra, just across the footbridge about a 20 minute walk away. Pleasant location by the river but a lot of road noise from busy road, pitches are quite uneven due to cobbles, it's quite busy and the services are a bit tatty. We were there on a Friday night and there was no noise from youngsters, only cars! There is a swimming pool nearby which is open in summer months.

Space for 3 vans plus more in front of closed bridge; next to road so some noise. All services here, on right as you enter. WC discharge in square hole and also round hole with lid in grass both between bushes by parking area. Tui very pretty town, well worth walk along river to left and then uphill to old centre and newer area with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, ATMs.

Really liked this site, near the river with riverside walks. It's run by local hunt and angling club from their premises with bar just under the bridge. Only 3€ per night, go to bar. Spaces clean and tidy, each with water and electricity, other services at end of parking area. Short walk to station for train ride up Douro valley, shops, bars and grilled chicken at top of steps!

Good spot to visit Porto, frequent buses within short walk. Pleasant environment with secure parking, each site had its own electric point. No showers but toilets at reception area. Wifi very slow, much better at launderette also a short walk away among the shops and a large supermarket there too.

We looked at this as a possible stopover. Directly under motorway bridge and quite steep and tight descent. Decided we could find somewhere more comfortable elsewhere and did not stop.

Supermarket within walking distance down roads through residential area, opposite entrance to lower road, also petrol station there and Macdonalds if you want it! Site is reasonably quiet at night for a town car park. No facilities other than litter bins.

Quiet site overlooking small harbour, next to football pitch. Decent services, level site. Small pleasant town with Thursday morning market. ATM if needed and several bars, tourist brochures in one bar.

Nice quiet spot to stay between La Coruna and Santiago. Quite difficult to reach down small twisty roads, would not advise for larger vehicles. Next to lake and nature reserve. Good services, plenty of nearby walks.

Handy place to stop to visit La Coruna but very busy, particularly in evenings and weekends. We didn't stay overnight, too busy for us in mixed parking! Tourist office on doorstep and Torre was free for us on a winter Monday!

Good services although they are used by locals for car wash, particularly on Sundays, when we were there! Big area with lovely view, quite sloping. Pleasant coastal walk towards town with mirador up the top of the hill reached by elevator. Small bar/ restaurant in corner of bay. Commercial centre at Rosales nearby with supermarket, petrol station etc. Launderette just next to roundabout in Rosales

We stayed here in Jan 2017. Good place to visit Santiago, hourly bus service in winter from stop in front of school opposite parking. Big Mercadona and launderette in small commercial centre, ATM nearby, cafe opposite parking. Parked on wasteland nearby, very quiet. Didn't use services.

A very nice spot with a lovely view. The incredibly generous people of Ourol provide all services free of charge, including electricity and also wifi at the nearby swimming pool, which reaches to the site. There is an ATM in town in addition to other shops already mentioned. Sadly, someone has already damaged a service point with a vehicle.

A good place to stop en route to Dunkirk. A large car park with dedicated motorhome spaces. Park in the car park if they are full! It was busy at the weekend during the day but quiet overnight. The service facilities are excellent. We enjoyed visiting the museum which was really interesting, an added bonus. The town is a short walk away.

We stayed here in March 2016. It's a pretty spot on the town green next to the castle. The only downside is the youth of the town like to meet here in the evening and are quite noisy ( we were here on a Friday evening). It's easy walking distance to town with all the facilities you need and there is a large supermarket down the road at the back.

Small peaceful site by the river Rhine. It's well run, neat and tidy. Very good value with helpful owner. Nice walk along the river. Only downside is it's quite a distance to town but there is a small bar at the nearby campsite and there are bread deliveries to the site.

Pleasant stop with plenty of trees and grass near the thermal baths. Good facilities. Make sure you have change for machines! Short walk into small, pleasant town full of bars, cafes, shops and so on. The site itself is peaceful and near the river with a pleasant walk along it.

We stayed here in March 2016. It's a big mixed parking area, close to a large sports centre. There are a couple of restaurants nearby. It was very busy on Sunday afternoon but by Monday morning, there was hardly anyone there!

Good stop to visit San Marino. Waste and water facilities. Level pitches. Cable car nearby. Can't say much else as it poured with rain and we ran away after 18 hours of continuous heavy rain. It was just too wet to explore!

A mixed parking site within easy walking distance of the city centre and next to the river. ATM close by together with shops and bars. Quiet at night but very busy in the morning. Best to arrive after lunch, in the evening or very early morning.

It's an easy walk into town from here, straight down the road. A good place for an overnight stop. It's right opposite Burger King and there are plenty of restaurants and bars in easy reach. There is also a laundry nearby. It's on a big main road so quite noisy but it backs onto a park. There is a small market at one end on a Friday.

We stayed here in March. It's a pleasant,grassy site set in an old olive grove. It's quiet at night and within easy walking distance of town. The attendant is a bit officious but ok. There's a great take away pizza and baker on the corner of the lower town square within easy walking distance.

This is fine for an overnight stop. It's uphill and near a sports facility, so quite busy in the afternoon and evening but quiet at night. The waste facilities are pretty disgusting....

A pleasant quiet site with trees and grass. Daily bread deliveries (also oranges when we were there). A number of long term campers. It was a small friendly site within easy walking distance of shops, bars, restaurants. Rather old showers but good enough. Very busy at weekends with Italian families.

Nice campsite. Well run, tidy, plenty of shade, grassy hardstanding, level pitches. Good services, lovely hot showers included in price. Beautiful sandy beach is attached to the site. It's also possible to park in the grassy area next to the beach in the low season. Small shop, bar, restaurant/pizzeria, washing machine. Helpful owner. ACSI rate 13€ from 1/1/16, cheaper for long stays. Great place!

This is a lovely peaceful spot, on the other side of the ravine from Matera. You get a magnificent view of the town and it's a lovely walk there but it takes at least 1 hour, down a very steep and precarious track. We got a lift back! Neither the showers nor the loos are particularly wonderful, you have to organise to have hot water and we were too late back. Paolo is very helpful though.

We stayed here in early March, as others have said, it is free except in the summer when you pay by the hour (very complicated!). It's a good location for visiting the town. It does get busy on Saturday nights and yes there are lights but we parked under the trees. The water is delicious!

We stayed here in early March, we paid 6€. It's a good location to visit Otranto and it's quite quiet. There is a small supermarket nearby and also a good fishmonger. The owner of the site is very pleasant.

Nice place to stop overnight, very quiet other than the sea! No facilities. It's also possible to park in one of the many town car parks if you prefer. Pleasant spa town with treatments available.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Lecce in March, we paid 15€ for our stay. It is a secure site, close to the road but the traffic is less at night. The owner was helpful and willing to help his customers in any way he can. It was particularly useful to have the shuttle service into town as it would be difficult to take a camper. Many other sites in Lecce have closed down.

Run by the coastguards, this is free of charge. Plenty of bars, restaurants nearby. Long haul up the steps to old town! We were here for Carnival, over 200 vans but normally far fewer!

Quiet spot next to hospital. Shop, take away pizza, gelateria, bars all nearby. Walking distance to pretty old town uphill. Market day Friday may affect parking here.

Nice small quiet campsite in lovely location with direct access to 6km of beautiful sandy beaches. Pleasant and helpful owner. Good free wifi. Showers and toilets could do with update, showers work on timed token 1€ each. Good base for exploring local area: Ragusa, Scicli, Montalbanoland!
