What a beautiful campsite. Small-scale, spacious pitches, clean and spacious sanitary facilities. Swimming pool, play area for the children. Friendly welcome. Valkenburg is nearby and the surroundings are beautiful for walking and cycling. The only downside for us was the loud radio music in the sanitary facilities and it's a shame that you aren't allowed to put a rug in front of your camper. Otherwise, we enjoyed our visit to De Zonnehoeve!

Open since August 1, 2025. Quiet, clean, and new sanitary facilities, good Wi-Fi, sheep, turkeys (and therefore turkey eggs for sale), bread rolls in Bengel, monastery 1 km away, dog swimming within walking distance, enthusiastic owner with red hair and eyebrows 😁. Costs: camper, electricity, 2 people, and dog €25 per night. The rest is free.

Fantastic campsite. We booked for three nights, and despite the many bookings, Philippe (great guy) managed to arrange two extra nights right on the water. Clean and new sanitary facilities. A great base for exploring Echternach, the suspension bridge at Irrel, Teufelsschlucht, or the beautiful hiking trails nearby. Saturdays and Sundays, there's a food truck and a beach bar with a lively atmosphere. Then, from 8 p.m. onward, it's quiet again. Fantastic!

Large pitches and everything is well-organized. Excellent sanitary facilities! Friendly people. Quiet campsite.
