Welcoming farmer and his wife, nice little shop with fresh products. Good cycling in the area, Alkmaar within cycling distance. Stompetoren supermarket at 2 km. Undecided between 2 and 3 stars. Positive: friendly owner, beautiful location on the Gers near an old bridge, spacious pitches, shady, sanitary facilities available, within walking distance of the village. Negative: hardly any camping guests, only a few workers' caravans, manager only reachable by phone, cleanliness of sanitary facilities could be better, noise from the road, grounds are not fenced off. All in all: it could be a gem, but right now it is a shadow of its former glory.

We camped here for 4 nights to our full satisfaction. A very friendly and helpful owner, clean sanitary facilities, good Wi-Fi, spacious pitches, a beautiful view. 20-minute walk to the town, 10 minutes to the supermarket. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful view this campsite offers! Spacious, shady pitches under the almond trees. Unfortunately, the toilet block is outdated. Riding the e-bike to the castle involves a steep climb, but it is doable. The castle is certainly worth a visit. And the food in the restaurant was excellent.

If you book through the website, you pay by credit card and receive an access code. Note: you must enter this code on the keypad on the barrier post, not on the tall green posts. This was confusing. This code also opens the toilet and shower.

A truly lovely campsite: a friendly welcome, excellent sanitary facilities, a small shop, a playground, and a restaurant. Close to the beach and within walking distance of the village. Lots of regular guests. Highly recommended.

Indeed, a beautiful view and a friendly welcome. Wi-Fi only at the restaurant, and sometimes no hot showers. In our opinion, the value for money is not good.

What a lovely place! Super clean, neatly maintained and furnished with care. We stayed 5 nights at the camper spot that offers a view of the fields. Beautiful cycling and walking area. And taking the bus to Maastricht or Valkenburg is also an option. Great!
