Friendly welcome at this beautiful campsite on the beach. The pitches are a bit small and the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but neat. Lovely showers with coins but really value for money. Very good base for Dublin and Ferry. Nice pub less than 500 metres away.

Despite it being a large caravan park we had a nice quiet place. 27 pounds for 2 people/1 night. Sanitary facilities very neat. Shower 20 pence / 1.5 min. Less than 10 min walk to long and beautiful beach.

Nice and quiet small campsite along a river with walking routes. Sanitary facilities outdated but neat. Village was nothing special. No pubs and restaurants. Only takeaways.

Mixed feelings. It is a very large camping park. On the other hand we had a beautiful spot in a top location. Sanitary facilities very neat. Lovely warm showers for 20 pence / 1.5 minutes. Beautiful extensive beach at a short 10-minute walk. On the way back from the beach to the camping we took a delicious pizza with us at the take away!

Very warm and friendly reception. Plumbing was neat. Nice view and well worth the walk to the blue lagoon. The road to it is indeed narrow and had the “bad luck” to encounter a large tractor halfway through. Or see it as a challenge.

Probably due to a festival that was very busy. For 42.50 euros you could choose a place (read where is still a place). Result, chaos. Sanitary not even visited. Town was nice!

came to this campsite by accident through Campercontact and the good reviews written by other camping hangers. it is a beautiful campsite located on a river with very friendly and helpful Belgian owners. sanitary bar and everything taken care of down to the last detail. They are nowhere to be seen . short to a super nice and quiet campsite.

Through transit we ended up at this campsite through Campercontact. very nice and quiet campsite with a very friendly and helpful British owner. toilet block and showers were clean and well looked after. we had a nice evening in the bar and the owner was not afraid to make something delicious. in short, a must if you like peace and hospitality.

9-8-2020 Very nice large campsite. Reception was fine. Archers sea view. Sanitary facilities need some attention. Camping Ideal for crossing to Stromness from crabster.

12-8 2020 been there after returning Orkney Islands. Very nice campsite very friendly reception. Neat large camper pitches. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 sanitary facilities closed. Very good restaurant less than a km walk from the campsite. Hotel Mackay's good food and dogs were no problem. In short, a must.

On the way there camping was actually full. Finally allowed to stay. Super cozy bar and delicious food. Yes the facilities are not as good as normal camping but the hospitality has made us decide to stay another night on our way back.
