Although the campsite is large and looks busy, we had a very quiet stay. The campsite is right on the sandy beach of Mandal, and Mandal itself is also a very charming town with plenty of restaurants. All within walking distance. A great last stop before the boat trip back to Hirtshals: Kristiansand is about a half-hour drive from here.

What a bullseye. Superbly situated with a beautiful view of the glacier and the lake. Plenty of space around your pitch, a new sanitary building, and a small restaurant with a bar (which was packed to watch the World Cup final on big screens). The number of showers and toilets seems a bit meager, but that really only results in some waiting time during the few weeks of high season. We were only going to stay one night, but it turned into three. We will definitely be back here again.

Despite being full, the receptionist still managed to assign us a spot. The downside is that this applies to many people, so you end up a bit cramped in a not-so-nice location. Geilo is within walking distance, with a supermarket, restaurant, and everything else. As others have already mentioned: the amount of sanitary facilities is not designed for a packed campsite, so plan carefully. We stayed here for one night while passing through.

It is not an official campsite, but it is a beautiful spot right by the sea with a fantastic view at sunset. There are five pitches; the first person to arrive gets a luxury cabin, and the rest have a nice artificial grass pitch. The very friendly owner comes to collect the fees in the evening (just pay by debit card), and you can dispose of your grey water and empty your chemical toilet. The WiFi is fantastic. A nice stop if you don't fancy the crowds at Ã…lesund.

Very nice campsite with great open views over the hills and fields. A great base if you enjoy gravel riding. The moose safari is highly recommended: on a beautiful evening we counted no fewer than 13, and I saw the 14th from the campsite when it was already late. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are somewhat limited in size but perfectly fine. And great for a day trip to Oslo: park in Ski and take the train.
