The stay was too short, but I fully agree with all the positive reviews! Amazing place, and how beautifully the nightingales, hoopoe, cuckoo, and many other songbirds sing! Good luck with this wonderful place! Best regards, Alida and Amos, and hope to see you again next year.

Great (free) spot along the Tagus! They are still busy setting up picnic areas along the river, but (fortunately) no work is being done today, probably due to the Easter weekend! There are power outlets, but I only tried the tap (it says drinking water), and it worked. The toilet can be emptied, there is a place to dispose of grey water, and there is a large green waste container. What more could you want?

As of Monday 3/2/25 the CP is closed and everyone has to be gone by Sunday evening 2/2/25, the police just came to tell us. Probably only one day.

Where has the adventurous camper of “the past” gone? Now everything has to be neat, safe, free, luxurious, etc. while you have everything on board. Then please go to a campsite! This is a very noisy place along a busy road. Stranded here in transit, but I prefer something more natural, quieter and “less safe”.

I have been to this beautiful CP a number of times with my bus camper (with toilet and shower!) and there are always more (larger and more expensive) white campers than camping vans or bus campers. Those white ones often have a toilet, shower and warm (dishwashing) water ??? Enjoy what is there and be happy with such a good and not expensive CP in a beautiful environment. alik and Amos.
