Its a good big spot but we wouldn't stay here due to too many "permanent park up vanners" & 1 is a house truck with a generator. We parked at the other spot anyway so see review of that.
Sitecode: 7433
Its a nice place & cant believe this 1s free in such a lovely area but too many vanners r going 2 ruin it soon as a motorhome consists of a fridge, cooking facilities, a bathroom and built in beds not a converted car or van with nothing in it. VERY tight access not for over 7m but has clean toilets and water. Better than paying e10 to park in the bus park below with tourist train going by all day
Sitecode: 5834
Its not free its e8 and its been that for along time for years. Here 21/5/17, so all you people who have been here in between thanks for wasting our time! You can pick up free wifi in the area though & we didnt spend the night here as its still fairly noisy next to another large carpark & a very loud circus tent that looks permanent too. Id give it a miss and a zero but have to give it a "star".
Sitecode: 4065
A nice place to spend the night! Instead of say a beautiful mountain or lake vista or a serene sunset over the ocean? Its parking at the edge of a huge car park right next to the main railway lines where you can listen to trains run all night. 2 italian park ups in a 48hr spot, 1 being lived in by a noisy rough female. 1 water (1 tap does all) 2 waste 3 hard standing 4 for close to a town if need.
Sitecode: 6254
Once again reviews that give 9 & 10 saying perfect! How can a site be perfect without waste facilities, laundry facilities & no food stores if needed, or showers & not quiet as there is the main road overhead. The blind lead the blind and the deaf the deaf. Wifi is non existent. It does have good paved cycle tracks for 100klms. 1 for water 2 for hard standing 3 for power if needed 4 for view.
Sitecode: 4609
Motorhome parking is a big area with wide parks for each one. Relatively quiet with the usual lazy Italians parking in the spots in their cars. Facilities all ok didnt need water which costs .10 for 10ltrs. 1 for water 2 for waste 3 for hard standing 4 for relatively quiet & a slight green view. So an ok place to park up. Town however is a big 0 as its a dump covered in graffiti so dont bother.
Sitecode: 7248
I can see why theres no more reviews since 2014 as its just some parking on the side of the main road, I would give it a 0 but have to put in a "review star". 80% of the sites in Italy should not be on this app as most have no reviews yet on half of them there are campers in the pictures and camper contact is just raking in the money from us for doing research for them. "Next please !"
Sitecode: 27070
This ones interesting as the Italian reviewer could be the owner trying to cash in on something as its just his drive way come courtyard which is pretty rough with barking dogs in cages, an ugly shed and rubbish bins so we were not going to stay & couldnt pick up wifi or see any "facilities" so onto the next weird place ..... "Next please"
Sitecode: 4701
I dont know why the last reviewer didnt explain that the area is having barriers installed so cant tell you at this stage if its still going to be free or if it will be a payment system (probably, its Italy!) Its a nice park outlook and reasonably quiet. Water fall looks ok when they release it which is only of course during a paid visit but I wouldnt pay E10 as its just another tourist trap.
Sitecode: 4862
Great quiet spot to relax from trying to drive on all the bone shaking terrible roads, quite a bit out of the way so we stayed 2 nights, nice to have no cars going by or park ups or hoons or anything else. Great views, excellent services incl electricity. 1 for quiet, 2 for water, 3 for waste, 4 for hard standing, 5 for views, 6 for leccy.(7 is wifi, 8 laundry, 9 shops, 10 free showers = perfect)
Sitecode: 4657
Another dirty car park and thats it & once again reviews that are ridiculous by either the half blind or deaf. Only good for visiting the town. The church is a nice visit with nice floor tiling & frescoes by Lippi (1467) & the suprise was the elevators going up or down from or to the castle (only good from afar). Town is slowly being restored, its Italy! & 4hrs for lunch will not get the job done!!
Sitecode: 11010
Nice and quiet with the sound of peacocks and Eore coming to greet you (warning the donkey is very loud when he says something:-) one of the few spots where its pleasant enough to go to where there isnt any rubbish around. Water is good with big hose, waste is waste. Trees need a trim so watch it when choosing a spot. 1 for quiet 2 for water 3 for waste 4 for view (if you park at end)5 for Eore!
Sitecode: 11046
Its a big dirty dusty carpark, the castle is NOT worth a visit as its a dump & looks like someone had a go at building it in the late 1970s as a joke, the beach if u could call it that is also a dump. Its free so u can catch train into the madness of Rome. We did 1 day in rome 1 off to rest then in again.Train costs 3.60each way u have to have pre bought tickets or else u will get fined E5 extra.
Sitecode: 15906
Small park where bored youth hang out with scooters and duff duff and a barking dog up the hill and the other side looks like a junk yard. I think there is services but look very average like the town so we didnt stay otherwise take your chances like everywhere in Italy find a better spot or like 80% of the non reviewed sites in Italy on this app even though some show campers in photo, go figure.
Sitecode: 5796
1 for hard standing 2 for relatively quiet considering where it is. Stayed 2 nights as you would be mad to pay for the other areas that charge to stay on the usual busy main roads. Walked into town about 4klms slightly up hill. Siena is nice enough. The car park is very busy between 7 and 9 and then 4 to 7 so would advise after 6.30pm. There are 5 to 6 empty italian park ups also on back line.
Sitecode: 4698
It ok after another hill top climb on the worst road in Europe so far and weve done about 15000klms in 8 months 1 for water 2 for waste 3 for hard standing 4 for relatively quiet apart from the idiot frenchie who parked as close as possible to us because it was too windy for him, what a sissy weve been thru untold nasty storms, a few where people died so get over yourselves u nervous frenchies.
Sitecode: 4705
Whats wrong with you people? You must all be deaf or mad to pay for places Iike this. Its between 2 major railways and the A1 motorway and a road. Weve been travelling now for 8 months and I still dont get it why ? You can park for free almost everywhere and still see all the sights. We walked up the hill by the way, the town is nice enough but looks much better from a distance. Cathedral is nice.
Sitecode: 25106
It costs 5 euro a night to park with the other 80 campers parked up! which looks like a good money spinner in the coral for campers and not horses and u cant park in the huge car park next to it overnight. The place is just too weird, I guess u have to be to sit in a pond of water with all the other weirdos. We turned up and left asap, all too strange. The town near it is also an industrial mess.
Sitecode: 4515
They are installing a barrier for ease of use? The place is as is with lots of parked up vans for sale but this makes it quieter to park next to. For E6 its ok as there is not much options apart from streets but its quiet enough out of the truck run. 1 for water 2 for waste 3 for quiet. Dont pay the E16 for the cinque terre its a rip off just hop on board the train anyway.
Sitecode: 4325
There are at least 10 Italian campers parked here permanently but not for living in for w/e and holiday trips. There is water and waste facilities. The road around is noisy but we used ear plugs so ok. 1 for water 2 for waste 3 for hard standing.
Sitecode: 7457
there are no services
Sitecode: 9985
Update for 2017. 1 for hard standing 2 for water in town from many fonts 3 for view , the view of alps is an 8 but u have to rate it according to a motor home stop not your feelings! It is quite noisy with trucks driving through town all day and night. There are some good short walks around back of town to pont, to waterfalls and to tunnel. "General sherman" lives in the small lake (a large fish)!
Sitecode: 11678
1 quiet 2 water 3 waste 4 hard standing 5 view. Facilities are very good nice fresh clean drinking water. The real walk is about 10klms around the lake and is good. Looked like there was a long term local van parked up with motor bike trailer when we visited. Nice spot with views and a good drive too.
Sitecode: 42943
The last review is a bit strange as its not a 10. 1 for quiet 2 water 3 waste 4 free electricity 5 hard standing 6 view (ish) 7 walk to non descript town for groceries etc. A 10 for all those who put too high reviews would be : 8 free wifi 9 laundry facilities 10 free hot showers. Thats how u review a site! Otherwise it is an ok spot for a night, unless french and sit on a site just for free power
Sitecode: 24869
Time for an update for 2017. 1st you have to trust the sat nav on this one as it looks like its going to be too tight but its fine to get through as i saw a french van chicken out. 2nd there is a short very steep hill to go up, 1st gear will be ok. 3rd the parking on top is nice and flat. 1 for quiet 2 view 3 hard standing 4 water 5 walk to bridge and town etc. Very quiet. A must place to visit.
Sitecode: 19282
1quiet 2 water 3 waste 4 hard standing 5 views. We were lucky enough to go in the small church which is a must see inside (wont tell u why). Area is so nice but we stayed on the lower hardened car park u will see from above as a giant german concorde was in the bays plus 4 sliding door campers turned up (pointless van as ur door has to be opened all the time and there were flies around) Sheltered
Sitecode: 29671
Its a great spot for peace and quiet, even the sea went quiet during the night. We parked at the end overlooking the ocean as we were the only camper here as well as 2 local cows. As stated before a nice small walk, you just have to close your eyes to the ugly derelict buildings around the area. 1 for quiet 2 for water 3 for waste 4 for hard standing & 5 for the view. Recommended stop.
Sitecode: 5848
As with previous descriptions. Sheltered from wind. Spanish car wash in full swing even at 7.30am Sunday morning! even with a spanish camper parked in 1 of the service points overnight! when there's 100 spots to park in in 3 car parks! 1 for quiet 2 for water 3 for waste 4 for hard standing 5 for view 6 for washing facilities around road.
Sitecode: 24665
Its a lovely very isolated spot so not the easiest to get to (so no hoons or idiots). The walk to the left along coast with huge rocks is great. Can as most of the coastal area get strong winds. A real rural come seaside place with hard working farmers in fields all around. 1for quiet 2 for hard standing if needed 3 for views 4 for water. (its a 7 to 8 rating for just a nice place to relax).
Sitecode: 19613
As previous comments. 1 quiet 2 water 3 waste 4 hard standing 5 view 6 wifi (free & fast up road). Also has showers ( id give it a 7 if they were hot!) & toilets at wharf, all in all a nice spot. It isnt smelly, there are 2 pernanent caravans still (1 is in the motorhome bay )and a camper. Not really anwhere to have a good walk just a short stroll which u will see the locals doing in a circle.
Sitecode: 29059
Drive up to fort over cobblestoned road then take a left at top and avoid the guy sitting in a booth in the car park to the righr wanting e1 to park then go to end by fort and avoid the scammers on the way wanting the same then park in huge area right next to fort! Fort is ok walk around with some nice canons and if u r into linen! it seems to be the town for it in the fort!
Sitecode: 23501
This isnt the parking spot go up small road to right by lookout by church for awesome views and quiet. If it is windy from ocean or bay go to the right of the hill & park against wall with still nice views. Services around the corner at repsol. Must visit the free fort & walk around top of ramparts for great views or if keen walk around bottom also by ocean. A very nice place to visit.
Sitecode: 46128
One of the best spots u could hope for. 1 quiet 2 waste 3 water 4 hard standing 5 view 6 washing facilities 600 metres away (e3.50 for 8kg etc) 7 short walk to town. Theres also rabbits to watch, a local goat herder, all day sun or shade under trees if needed. 7 other campers were down the wharf front listening to all the noise from the weekend while we had nice silence, so a big thanks to them!
Sitecode: 9515
Only suitable for small vans & I don't know why you would need to park here anyway or anywhere else in the area when the town has provided a great huge quiet area with facilities well behind the bus station & GNR @ n41.53900 w8.778117 which is a 7 rating minimum.
Sitecode: 41542
We had to stay here in the end as Nazere does not want motorhomes & a restaurant place nearer beach wanted E10 to park on some dirt, we dont think so! It was also raining. Its a car park so 1 for hard standing 2 for water, I would have given it 4 for waste but it was broken and over flowing & 3 next to supermarket.
Sitecode: 10830
We only visited to go see one of the best fortified villages which is well kept for a change. The site is below average being messy & neglected as usual hence there was no charge. 1 for waste 2 for water 3 for close proximity to Obidos.
Sitecode: 12252
As with previous reviews its an ok parking spot. Road noise quietens down about 9.30pm and it would have been a quiet night apart from being woken up at 4am with about 20 students some dressed in robes & caps whom were chanting & doing some kind of ritual behind us. 1 for relatively quiet 2 for hard standing 3 for close proximity to sight. Visit Bom Jesus by walking up thats why God gave u legs!
Sitecode: 49602
We came here to go into porto by train as the other sites in porto sounded a bit dodgy. I wish we hadn't as the place is a dump like the town next to it. Its a mess, overgrown, uneven and noisy. It has free power which we never need but the French will always turn up for free power and yep all 4 sites with them in it. The ratings are 1 for waste 2 water 3 power. There are also toilets open. Avoid.
Sitecode: 29490
Quiet apart from too many barking dogs and some of those were from the usual french. About 15 campers all french! and trying to dominate the area and waste point, strange bored people! Nothing here but it was better than Figueroa da foz parking.
Sitecode: 49043
A little bit of confusion regarding parking here and we arrived at 5pm and no campers so we went 15 min over bridge to other spot which was nice and quiet.
Sitecode: 43706
under water when we visited 3rd march nothing here so moved on probably ok in summer.
Sitecode: 11643
No trucks and 30 Portuguese campers some being noisy and late as usual and the men doing the usual of wandering around in groups in the far park. Nice enough water front promenade with a lot of bored people about as usual. Not an inspiring spot but it was raining so waited it out. Theres a soccer ground behind with noise also. Lidl 15 min away with 3 parks for campers and very good wifi from van.
Sitecode: 5361
Its a long way in to find it if your coming from the south with bad roads through some tight towns its nice enough but nothing to write home about. We didnt stay as too many cars driving through bored as usual so we moved on.
Sitecode: 48655
You are not welcome in this town you can try and park it somewhere but the signs say it all, we left as the place is a dump.
Sitecode: 10823
Once again its just a dirty piece of land near the town, the weir is ok, the castle is below average and DONT go in the park gardens as they are a mess and if u follow the walls you cant get out! The town is full of zombies called boted Portugeese!
Sitecode: 8066
The 5 stars are for the HUGE cathedral which as usual needs a good water blast and the statue alone are worth seing. A car park is just a carpark so its hardstanding and gets a 1for that.
Sitecode: 5365
oh and the ruins are just that dont bother there are better things for free to see in this world so we didnt bother as you can walk next to them and see the state of mess they are in as most things in Portugal
Sitecode: 5365
nice & quiet, almost, we stayed 2 nights the 2nd night we were the only vehicle (motorhome) in a 100 site carpark but a wannabe spanish sliding door van parked right next to us in the dark about 9.30pm & the female got out and urinated in the car park they then put on some kind of heating generator at 11.30pm so we had enough and moved away & we no why there is "no Autocaravanas " signs going up!
Sitecode: 10815
What can you add to one of the best spots ever. The views are awesome and the town is great. So peaceful we stayed 2 nights. I review according to points, this place gets a 9 for this but normally it would only be a 2, 1 for hard standing & 1 for quiet.
Sitecode: 45870
Good parking spot and easy walk to see nice town across river. Good service point too.
Sitecode: 52540
Visited Silves for day which is only worth 2 hours max as another run down place. Also visited this site which was packed so checked it out. Its over rated once again. Everything extra costs as always and it all adds up.1 small washer for all the vans & E4 is too high, shower average. You can park outside for free if brave enough from the stares of the owner! Visited 10klm site up road even worse!
Sitecode: 15770
Its a huge area with sandy/muddy placement. I think everybody is being a little gullible as the aire is the paid area with the wifi but if u r happy to pay and have a booster! We still paid as conscience (wife) feels should. Longtermers with generators running, should not be! Town is close, use legs people! Walked all way to lighthouse, cliffs not as good as praia da marinha (left & right).
Sitecode: 29998
Its free & there's lots of parking in the area which is clean and fairly quiet apart from its close to the air base so expect loud jets etc anytime, local police around in late arvo and morning then civil police (must be bored). cycled about 4klms to mcds to use good wifi, shops etc town seems quiet and clean too. Some people had been staying for over a month which is crazy, move along people!
Sitecode: 26374
It's noisy and shady in winter, average spanish facilities, shops nearby. Wouldn't have stayed if knew how noisy it was. Avoid.
Sitecode: 19908
Came here to get away from Gibraltar wish I hadnt the place is full of insane youths who just drive around and around endlessly for hours every 5 minutes.Spanish campers with feral kids kicking ball & skateboards, a dog that never stopped barking for hours on end, a living hell! Then another spanish camper got up very early! & played his stereo loud next to us all & while kids ran around. Avoid.
Sitecode: 24339
Came here but another nasty storm was hitting so couldnt park here so had to hide out in a quiet side street. The whole coastal walk is nice, no facilities but a nice place for a stopover.
Sitecode: 40846
I think some people may be quite deaf reviewing this site as this stop is next to a main cut through road to motorway so is extremely noisy so dont expect much sleep. Has free power (did not need) but cord will run across road & is 2 mtrs in air, hey its Spain! has water & waste. Also next to sports ground so cars come and go late. Give it a miss.
Sitecode: 6516
Its a sight to behold from afar but average close up. The roads in and out to morella are hairbenders so good in the dry but slippery in the wet. The aire has a great view but facilities were blocked as not maintained so they were overflowing. We got caught out by torrential rain and thunder storm late Nov so got cabin fever for 2 days! Watch the driveway in as mentioned and a tree to the right.
Sitecode: 24621
Great site, totally safe as there is a school nearby and the local police patrol area plus they practice football everynight on pitch behind. Aire is for 48hrs but plenty of parking around so Barcelona is so good you gotta stay longer. Catch train 5 minutes walk for 3euro, bargain, but DO NOT do the "tourist bus" in Barcelona its the biggest rip off ever. See Sagadra familia and go to monseratt.
Sitecode: 40507
A better spot than the dump of an aire 1klm away but watch out for local youths on motorbikes. No facilities but great view.
Sitecode: 48883
We arrived here after rain and the site is terribly built with big gaps in the driveway as shown in the pictures which just turn to mud and you will be wheel spinning and caked on. So like everyone ( except a spanish merc camper that looks like its either dumped or sits there permanently) we moved 100m around the road to a better beach front location with 50 other campers! Great cycling paths too!
Sitecode: 14281
Fairly deceptive pricing structure for campers, lots of additional add ons. If you come here in a camper and want to use the facilities like toilet or showers you must be prepared for a long walk which defeats the purpose.Campsite is more suitable for families in holidays as its set up as a campground. We turned up, found out about it all, then left. The ratings are too high, so don"t be fooled.
Sitecode: 25035
Quiet, spacious, great facilities incl excellent showers and wifi. Friendly and helpful. Shops also a short cycle away.
Sitecode: 65
What a nice guy Bob is, very helpful. Very peaceful site, as previous reviews state nice view of fields, cows and a couple of inquisitive horses. wifi was good also. By the way Bob, all the best with the new camper.
