narrow streets ,tight turns,roadworks........to a cramped carpark ? no spaces large enough for our 7 m motorhome .NIGHTMARE ...we drove on !

easy access to euro velo 6 off road sections , beautiful cycling late October 2025. Beware muddy areas ....we got stuck ! Many thanks to French couple in motorhome and local farmer for their help and kindness .

Saturday afternoon , very quiet ,enjoyable walks ,lovely surroundings ....but soon after 10 pm it was partytime banging music till early hours !!!!!!!!! might have been fun 50 years ago ! Still 4 stars as its just noise,and no-one came close .

idyllic location small gravel area surrounded by trees, consistant loud rushing water sound from the locks. no one else has been down here all day. our sat nav took us a difficult way with several low (3 m)bridges and a 2 km potholed gravel track .....but we have found the better road way out! doable with a 7 m van! and lovely cycle/hike to other locks and town .

even though the museum is open signs in the carpark say no camping ,
