Lovely campsite, this is my 3rd time here (previously in 2011 and 2022). Unfortunately, the ravages of time are starting to show a bit. Hopefully a renovation is in sight (I would love to help them because it really is a wonderful place where the sense of freedom is abundant).

Feeling of a traditional Dutch farm campsite. Sanitary facilities are a nightmare. Fries though... Not worth a spot in the ANWB book of charming campsites ....

What a beautiful place and what a warm welcome. A lovely spot for the outdoor/wilderness enthusiast. People with an adventurous spirit will particularly appreciate this, without feeling like they are missing out on anything if you don't have that. Very sweet people, pleasant chats, and great stories. Fishing is possible at the campsite itself and is included. Swimming in a special swimming lake when the weather is nice. In the end, we stayed 3 instead of the planned 2 nights 😃

Beautiful, quiet campsite, facilities in good order, nice spot. Fishing with a Fiskekort for only 50 SEK/day for the entire area. Nice village within walking distance, which you don't notice at all while at the campsite. Highly recommended!!

Simplicity at its finest, and for us, that is exactly what we like. Excellent sanitary facilities (simple yet in order). If you love peace and quiet, walking, fishing, and your BBQ... then this is a wonderful place.

A somewhat simple campsite; the sanitary facilities could use a bit of upgrading, especially considering you have to pay for hot water for showering every 5 minutes. However, the campsite managers are very nice and helpful, and: there is a washing machine!! (no dryer, though, but that doesn't matter to us). It is located on a busy main road, but it is very quiet in the evening; we weren't bothered by it. You can walk right into the woods from the entrance to the site for a lovely walk.

Nice campsite, friendly people. Unfortunately, there are a few downsides (partly due to expectations raised by the ANWB book 'Charming Campsites for Peace Seekers and Nature Lovers'): 1. You cannot take your dog from the campsite; the nature is clear as far as I can tell (you end up on the E4 motorway) 2. Located right next to the E4 There are also advantages: - Fishing from the campsite on the river is included, and the fishing water is beautiful and good - Neat and clean!

1. If you are coming for peace and quiet (as the ANWB guide to charming campsites promises): DO NOT go! 2. 2 people + electricity is 410 kronen per night 3. Fills up quickly (unfortunately for us, in hindsight, not quickly enough) 4. Otherwise, the campsite is well organized, nice people 5. Beautiful view over the water All in all, a neat, fine campsite for those for whom peace and quiet is not such an important item, and a bit more expensive than suggested here.

We see a lot of comments from people who seem to have forgotten that camping on the edge of the wilderness is not a hotel getaway. This campsite might seem a bit dated regarding the sanitary facilities, but everything works and was clean, and there is plenty of hot water, even Wi-Fi for those who like it. Just great camping there!

None of the comments about faded glory were true. Fully occupied; eventually, they looked for a spot for everyone. Sanitary facilities basic but adequate, with plenty of hot water. The showers are completely separate from the dishwashing water in the kitchen, which is located 20-30 meters away. Large pitches, very helpful staff, and everything is just plain clean and in need of renovation. Great fishing for those who want to. Fishing licenses for sale on site and boat rental from 270 SEK per day.
