A very simply designed campsite, without any great luxuries. Two portable toilets and a WC with a key, accessible only during the opening hours of the kiosk/restaurant. On the other hand, the unbeatable proximity to Königstein Fortress is a major plus.

Three days off at Lake Bärwalde. Arriving at Marina Camping, we received a very warm welcome from the owners. The campsite is small but perfectly formed. Despite dramatic clouds and a brisk breeze, we were drawn down to the water. There, too, we found a pleasant surprise – unexpected peace and a sandy beach. On the horizon, the distinctive silhouette of the Boxberg power plant is a familiar sight in Upper Lusatia. A short trip with a positive surprise factor.
