Excellent campsite with everything you need! Very nice sanitary facilities with hot showers, no time limit. Hot water for washing up, toilet with a seat and toilet paper (after 12 weeks in Italy, we thought that was a thing of the past!). Direct access to the lake, super friendly welcome! The pitches were a bit cramped, but with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake.

Holiday homes are currently being built right next to the campsite – construction noise! The beach and the town center of Villasimius are nearby and lovely. The campsite itself seems neglected and unwelcoming, with only two toilets – so expect a queue in the morning! Showers cost 50 cents for 3 minutes, and the machine is outside. Only cold water is available for washing dishes! The campsite rules are simply annoying; outside of designated hours, everything is locked (garbage) or chained off (waste disposal).

We stayed there last night after our ferry crossing from Sicily. When we arrived around 10 pm, there were three cars in the parking area, but we were alone during the night. It was absolutely quiet and peaceful, with a view of the sea in the morning. There are no facilities whatsoever. A highly recommended, free stopover!

I can't understand the good reviews! The "beach" consists of coarse gravel, the road is partially washed away and closed, and there are ruins of an old restaurant on the beach. The campsite itself is only okay in the back area, and of the four coin-operated showers (€2 for 6 minutes), only two worked! No toilet paper or toilet seat! The owner's wife carries your rubbish all the way across the campsite if she thinks you haven't separated it properly! Absolutely unacceptable.

A lovely, manageable campsite right on the lake and in the center of Baveno. The harbor is a 5-minute walk away, offering ferries to destinations like Cannobio or boat trips to the Borromean Islands. The sanitary facilities appear to have just been modernized and are excellent! Great water pressure and endless hot water. There's also a washing machine, dryer, and even a freezer. The only downside is the rather inconvenient grey water disposal.
