You can come and go as you please, which is important when you arrive off the ferry at night. We would have been happy to pay the €8 fee, too. Perhaps someone with French skills can suggest setting up a PayPal account for the staff. 😉

The cleanest restrooms I've ever experienced. What might be important for some is that there's a hairdryer in the sanctuary :-) The town's plentiful selection of pubs is easily accessible on foot. No entry or exit after 10 p.m., and departure by 12 noon.

Very quiet location, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. The owner is always on site, and there's no locked gate, so you can arrive spontaneously. (I've had completely different experiences elsewhere.) The owner speaks Swiss German, so if you're not so fluent in English, you can also communicate in German or French. The undersized sanitary facilities are scheduled to be expanded next year.

The owner is very concerned about the well-being of his guests and makes many things possible - and he speaks German! Access possible at any time via the individual telephone number of the gate. Private toilet and shower.

Unfortunately no more tents, only caravan pitches :-(

nice, quiet campsite, not too big and not too small. Electricity is included in the price, but you should have sufficiently long cables, as the distribution columns are only every 3-4 parcels. Warning, no drinking water in the sanitary building! Approx. 3 km away, in the next town Sovicille, a recommended, well-frequented restaurant with an outside terrace.

Picturesque location in the olive grove, with a view over Lake Garda. Very nice young operators, they speak German and English. Bread service possible. Food in the Olivio (family restaurant) is very tasty. Sanitary facilities are a bit too little at peak times, but overall a place to relax and unwind.
